A group of people were running wildly across the Dragonblight.
Malfurion transformed into a gigantic Nightsaber, almost as tall as a person. Tyrande sat atop it, her legs tightly wrapped around Malfurion's waist, her voluptuous body leaning forward on Malfurion back, her arms around Malfurion neck. The two roamed freely across the wilderness.
Kael'thas summoned the phoenix "O" and soared into the sky, looking more dashing than anyone else.
Of course, he didn't dare to fly high into the sky, but instead skimmed at low altitude. It wasn't that he was afraid of the Gargoyle and Frost Wyrm high in the sky, but rather that he didn't want to waste time on unnecessary battles.
As for the High Elf mages he brought, they each used various methods to cast spells, reducing their body weight and increasing their speed. These High Elf mages had also received combat training, possessed excellent physical qualities, and were as light as swallows.
Illidan ran on the ground, but most of the time he glided with his demonic wings spread, his speed no less than that of a phoenix.
Vashj and her Naga guards moved across the ground at a surprisingly fast pace, like warhorses galloping across the plains. Of course, every now and then, they had to summon water to moisturize their bodies and replenish their fluids.
Old Chen's stamina is top-notch, and his running speed is also very fast when he exerts force, no problem.
As for Jiang Jie, in order to conserve his Chi and Anveena's magic power, he transformed into Stag Form and ran across the land.
The fastest of them Illidan and Kael'thas, led the way.
Illidan didn't even need to draw his Warglaives of Azzinoth; any Undead that dared to block his path would be easily killed. Undead below the Legendary level were no match for him.
Seven Legendary or Legendary powerhouses, plus dozens of highly skilled High Elf mages and hundreds of equally formidable Naga guards—this was a force capable of annihilating a city. If they attacked Lordaeron, Stormwind City, or any other city, they could easily breach its defenses and then destroy the entire city within a single day.
However, even with such formidable strength, their surprise attack today was still a risky undertaking.
Because what they are about to attack is probably the most difficult castle to breach on this land, besides the Titans ruins: Icecrown Citadel.
Also, because all their actions are actually exposed to the Lich King's mental perception.
If it were just a few of them, finding a way to shield themselves from the Lich King's senses wouldn't be difficult. But they brought so many Naga and High Elf mages with them, and they had to maintain high-speed movement, which made things much more difficult.
They ran at full speed for an entire day, with less than two hours of rest in between. Finally, at dawn the next day, they saw a huge wall, made of steel and the hardest rock, blocking their way in the middle of the valley.
The city wall is definitely over two hundred meters high, built against the mountainside, and is thicker than any other city wall on this planet.
Near the top of the city wall, there is a skull carved that is even larger than the main gate of Lordaeron, with its eyes glowing green. That skull represents the Lich King's supreme authority.
At the very bottom center of the city wall is a gigantic maw, nearly twenty meters high, that devours all living beings.
The gigantic maw opened wide, revealing two rows of teeth forged from steel and imbued with immense death energy and frost power. These teeth fit together perfectly, blocking the first and most formidable gateway to Icecrown Citadel.
The teeth are separated, large enough to allow an ancient dragon and the largest Abomination to pass side by side.
With your teeth clenched, nobody can get in!
" Angrathar, the Wrathgate." Jiang Jie sighed softly as he looked at the massive, frozen city wall that was even taller than Greymane Wall.
Countless Undead piled up in front of the gate, blocking the way.
With towering peaks on both sides, the Icecrown Glacier is already hundreds of meters higher than the surrounding areas, and the Icecrown Citadel is built on the glacier, further blocked by mountains and far away in the clouds.
Even at their speed,
Reaching Icecrown Citadel by crossing the mountains would take more than a day. By then, the Lich King would have summoned even more Undead Lich King, and upon sensing their arrival, he would likely have already summoned Arthas to protect them immediately. They wouldn't have time to proceed slowly. The Wrathgate before them was the shortest path.
Once you pass through the Wrathgate, you can go directly into Icecrown Citadel, and it may only take an hour or two to reach the Frozen Throne.
This is not the Arthas reign six years later. Icecrown Citadel is not actually fully completed yet, and it lacks the protection of more terrifying plague creatures, San'layn, Val'kyr, and others. Anyone who enters Icecrown Citadel before Arthas Lich King undoubtedly die.
"We have no choice but to force our way in." Jiang Jie shook his head slightly. "Unfortunately, the four minor Elemental Spirits are not here, nor is Wugou."
If Wugou is present, summoning rocks to form Stone Giants wielding the " Blade of Cataclysm " would be no problem for it to shatter two rows of steel teeth. If that doesn't work, use a combination of Xiaohuo and Xiaoshui; the high temperature combined with the cold ice, the rapid shifts between hot and cold, would also be very destructive.
"Since it's a door, there must be a way to open it," Kael'thas said.
Jiang Jie nodded and said, "This door should open from the inside, but we can't get in... No, we have a way to get in!"
A physical body cannot overcome this, but an energy body can.
"I will find the controller to open this steel door, Anveena will go in and open it."
Jiang Jie transformed back into human form, then drew the divine sword Strom'kar: " The Undead have discovered us and are gathering towards the Wrathgate. We cannot wait, or the Undead will multiply. So, let's fight!"
Fight, fight!
This was a fierce battle, but the word "fierce" truly applied to the Undead.
Seven Legendary powerhouses joining forces—a feat unparalleled in nearly a thousand years, aside from the battle at Mount Hyjal. This power was so concentrated that no amount of Undead could overcome it.
Even though there are near- Legendary Scourge lords commanding here, colossal Abomination reaching over ten meters in height, and tens of thousands of ordinary Undead.
Kael'thas and the High Elf mages' spells could wipe out a large number of Undead in one go. Phoenix "O"'s Phoenix Flames turned an area the size of a basketball court into a sea of inferno. Vashj and her Naga guards blocked the Undead on the left flank, Malfurion and Tyrande blocked the Undead on the right flank, and Illidan and Old Chen cleared the way. The two High-tier Legendary powerhouses swept away all obstacles and arrived at the gate.
Meanwhile, the game pod had finished scanning and located the internal controller.
" Anveena, it's up to you now!" Jiang Jie looked up at the sky.
Anveena flapped her wings, swiftly sniping several Gargoyle with a few arrows, then grunted and flew into the gate.
A minute later, the door burst open, revealing a long, dark passageway.
"Everyone, follow me!"
Jiang Jie shouted, Illidan had already taken the lead and rushed to the front, with Old Chen following behind.
Five minutes later, all the survivors entered the passage. Jiang Jie slapped his hand, and the gate closed, keeping countless Undead outside.
Jiang Jie turned around, looking at the long corridor that had been brightly lit by Kael'thas's magic, feeling the increasingly cold chill, and muttered to himself:
" The Lich King, we're here!"
