Jin Yuan Bloodline, Increasing His Strength!
"Qingyang Huan stands ready to face you, clan brothers. Which of you would care to offer your younger brother some pointers?"
"Hmph!"
The Wandering Cloud Tribe's grand elder snorted and helped Yun Caiyue up. The wild young woman was pale now. Clearly, that final strike, Moon Burial, had been a technique she had used above her level and had yet to master fully.
After taking the healing medicine the Wandering Cloud elder handed her, Yun Caiyue fixed her gaze on Qingyang Huan again, surprising him. The young woman before him truly could not be underestimated.
"Master said my temperament was lacking. Sure enough, just a few words made me lose my composure."
Yun Caiyue regained her original poise. "After today's battle, I will head to the Ancient City of La Mountain. You and I will meet again someday. I believe Qingyang's young chief won't stay tucked away in these ten thousand li of wilderness. When the time comes, I will experience the Dao intent you have comprehended."
Hmm?
This time, Qingyang Huan gave Yun Caiyue a long look, truly taking her seriously. Leaving aside her ability to detect that he had comprehended an intent, her temperament alone was no less impressive than a man's.
"Grand Elder, let's go!"
Only when he saw that the earlier fight had not left Yun Caiyue dispirited did the worry in the Surging Cloud grand elder's eyes subside. Without paying anyone else any further attention, he quickly departed with the guards of the Surging Cloud Tribe, not even bothering with the other two youths still in the Qingyang Clan.
"Let's go!"
Immediately afterward, the Inkstone Mountain grand elder likewise barked coldly and led the Inkstone Mountain Tribe's guards away into the distance.
Likewise, the Fire Dragon Tribe and Golden Spear Clan naturally would not remain. They had arrived in high spirits, never expecting the youths of all four tribes to suffer broken halberds buried in the sand at the hands of the same youth. All their efforts had only served to build Qingyang's reputation.
"My four brothers, Qingyang has already prepared a feast. Have something to eat before you leave! Don't be in such a hurry. Just as you brothers said, the beast meat over the bonfires is roasted to perfection!"
Seeing the four tribes' elders leading their people away, Qingyang Rong called out, then burst into hearty laughter.
Already several li away, the people of the four tribes heard the grand elder's laughter, and their faces darkened further as they silently cursed that old bastard from Qingyang!
"Qingyang, you old devil! If the mountains don't turn, the waters will. I refuse to believe Qingyang can prosper like this forever!"
The Inkstone Mountain grand elder growled and strode away with his guards.
"Yue'er, has that young chief of the Qingyang Clan truly comprehended an intent?"
Even after they had traveled far away, the Surging Cloud grand elder still refused to believe it.
Leaving aside the Qingyang young chief who had not made a move, even that dark-skinned lad had awakened his bloodline. Just what sort of fortune would he gain? The Qingyang Clan truly enjoyed good luck.
Riding a Scale-Horned Horse, Yun Caiyue wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth, a glimmer shining in her eyes. "I could only vaguely sense a trace of his presence, and even that was thanks to the spirit treasure Master bestowed on me."
Hearing this, the Surging Cloud grand elder could not help looking at the blue-green, teardrop-shaped bead hanging around Yun Caiyue's neck, a trace of awe flashing through his eyes.
That awe was for the great figure who had given Yun Caiyue this bead, an expert from the Ancient City of La Mountain, someone capable of suppressing an entire region alone.
At this thought, the anger in his heart gradually settled. The Qingyang Tribe's fortune was indeed flourishing, but his Wandering Cloud Tribe was no worse. Even in the Ancient City of La Mountain, Yun Caiyue's master wielded tremendous influence. This was the foundation of the Wandering Cloud Tribe's confidence. Compared to that great person, what did Qingyang amount to?
Thinking of this, however, he looked at Yun Caiyue with some concern.
Seemingly understanding what the grand elder was thinking, Yun Caiyue smiled calmly and said, "It was only a small tribal competition. What does it amount to? Victory and defeat are commonplace!"
The Surging Cloud grand elder, however, said nothing. The thoughts of the young woman he had watched grow up were already becoming difficult to fathom.
The bronze battle platform.
Watching the four tribes' elders stride away with dark faces, never once mentioning their earlier demand to enter Qingyang Mountain, Grand Elder Qingyang Rong laughed like thunder, his laughter lingering for a long time.
Qingyang Huan no longer needed to lend Jin Wei a hand. A crowd of Qingyang youths jumped straight onto the platform and surrounded him. This time, Jin Wei had fought the youths of all four tribes in succession and battled to the very end, winning these youths' wholehearted respect.
"All right, you little brats, get back to cultivating!"
The grand elder scolded them with a laugh. The youths could only put Jin Wei down and rush toward Qingyang Mountain.
Looking at Jin Wei, who sat cross-legged on the platform with a trace of savagery still lingering about him, he had not expected Jin Wei to awaken the fortune within his body either. It seemed a great figure had once appeared among Jin Wei's ancestors.
What interested him most, however, was just what sort of fortune Jin Wei had awakened!
Whoosh!
A fierce gust shot toward them, and another figure appeared on the bronze battle platform.
"Chief!" "Father!"
Qingyang Huan and the grand elder called out upon seeing the newcomer, but he simply swept Jin Wei up and headed toward the tribe.
"The fortune within his body is about to manifest. He needs a great deal of blood Qi."
The grand elder immediately followed with Qingyang Huan, rushing toward the tribe.
Jin Wei was tossed straight into a stone vat. An extremely viscous, blood-red substance submerged his body, and the scorching heat radiating from him seemed to boil the blood-red essence inside the vat.
The grand elder hurried in from outside, crushed the pieces of beast bone he had brought with his blood Qi, and added them to the vat. These were all bones from Divine Treasure Realm fierce beasts, their most essential parts. Clearly, the Qingyang Tribe had spared nothing for Jin Wei.
Roar!
His eyes tightly shut, Jin Wei unconsciously roared from time to time. Thunderous sounds surged within his body as he drew vast quantities of blood Qi into himself like a tide, his presence growing increasingly savage.
Excitement and curiosity filled Qingyang Huan's eyes. Watching Jin Wei on the verge of awakening his fortune, he felt increasingly farsighted for having coaxed Jin Wei back to the tribe.
Hadn't Jin Wei alone sent the four tribes' menacing challenge packing without Qingyang Huan even having to make a move?
He had spent more than ten days in seclusion preparing for this contest. Who would have thought none of it would be needed, and that the four tribes' grand elders would be left so furious that smoke poured from their seven orifices?
Roar!
At that moment, Jin Wei, sitting cross-legged in the stone vat, let out another roar. This time, it was utterly inhuman. Almost instantly, all the blood-red energy in the vat was drawn into his body.
Dense blood Qi erupted from his body, with faint golden light flickering in and out of existence. Then, in an instant, dazzling golden light filled the entire stone chamber. The hazy golden light behind Jin Wei slowly condensed into the upright outline of a golden humanoid figure.
As time passed, the golden figure grew clearer. It had a powerfully built, humanlike body and a long tail. It was unmistakably an ape.
"Jin Yuan Bloodline!"
Qingyang Jue cried out when he saw the outline manifesting behind Jin Wei.
Hearing this, Qingyang Huan remembered that Jin Wei had said he had been raised by a Jin Yuan. There were no monkeys in the Great Wilderness that abstained from meat. No wonder a Jin Yuan had been so close to him.
At that moment, however, Qingyang Huan's expression froze. Jin Wei had already advanced to the Divine Treasure Realm, and now he had awakened his bloodline as well. Although Qingyang Huan's strength had broken through twenty thousand jin and even far exceeded his expectations, keeping Jin Wei subdued would no longer be easy.
At the thought of being beaten down by Jin Wei, Qingyang Huan instinctively shook his head. No, absolutely not!
In mere moments, he made a decision.
First, I'll find somewhere to enter seclusion and increase my strength. Then I'll come back and keep beating him down!
