Revealed Future with Jian Yichen

Shang Shuyu’s relationship with Jian Yichen is first disclosed through Shang Shujue’s inner thoughts during the trainees’ opening performance. He learns that Jian Yichen is her future husband, startling Jian Yichen and the other trainees. Their first meeting involved Jian Yichen saving her from a thug, then fainting in her arms because of low blood sugar 44.

Further revelations describe a future in which Yang Shaoying, angered by her rejection and public embarrassment at a banquet, attempts to force himself on her. Jian Yichen intervenes and injures him. Yang Shaoying subsequently arranges for a filming prop bomb to be replaced with a real explosive supplied by Su Youchuan, leaving Jian Yichen disfigured 45.

Although Jian Yichen reciprocates her feelings, he initially wants financial stability before pursuing a relationship. After his disfigurement, his sense of inferiority leads him to reject her. Shang Shuyu nevertheless persists, taking three years to win him over. These events are presented as revelations of the future, rather than an already-completed marriage at the time of disclosure 44 45.

Shang Shujue’s Hospitalizations

When Shang Shujue wakes after a day and a half unconscious, Shang Shuyu accompanies his attending physician to check on him. She hears her brother’s inner voice and quietly explains the situation to Doctor Lin, preventing an overt reaction. Alongside the family, she subsequently learns about Nuomi, the Quick Transmigration Bureau, and the other Shang Shujue’s continued existence 110 111.

During a later hospitalization, she brings Song Yanqing food and urges him to rest before helping Shang Shujue endure his impending supernatural punishment. After the immediate danger passes, she takes responsibility for the remaining vigil and sends the other relatives home 130 131.

Her interactions with Jian Yichen also develop in the present storyline: she smiles and accepts chicken soup from him at the hospital, and the two later arrive together to visit Shang Shujue 131 133.

Shang Shuyu is attentive and practical when caring for her family. She advises against giving a newly awakened Shang Shujue greasy chicken soup, suggests congee instead, and prioritizes an examination by his attending physician. She also considers the needs of other caregivers, encouraging Song Yanqing to eat and rest rather than exhaust himself at the bedside 111 130.

Her revealed future shows considerable romantic determination: she continues pursuing Jian Yichen despite his disfigurement and repeated refusals rooted in insecurity. Shang Shujue praises both her looks and her personality before learning why Jian Yichen resisted the relationship 45.
