Hela learned she could not return to the surface and was entrusted to Tang Tang, who took her through the underwater city. As they explored, Hela learned about the Sea Herring and Sea Shark Dragons and saw a bustling ocean world.

• Hela asked Spirit Shark how she could return to the surface, but Spirit Shark said outsiders could not leave.

Hela escaped Heidai’s ambush and chased him to a fish-person family’s home, where he attacked them. Her strength suddenly surged, and she subdued Heidai, leaving him pinned in the seabed.

• Hela dodged Heidai’s surprise attack and fled, but he chased her until she outran him.
• Heidai forced his way into a fish-person family’s home, frightening the parents and their child, Yuyu.
• Hela struck Heidai with a stone, stunning him and giving the family time to escape.
• Heidai turned on Hela, but she suddenly froze him with her power and sat on his head.
• Heidai thrashed to escape, but Hela seized his head and pressed him into the seabed.

Hela helped Armor Shark defeat the rampaging Heidai and learned that many other wounded beasts had gone berserk in the Ocean World. After Armor Shark acknowledged her and sent her to safety, Hela returned to Tang Tang's home and began looking for a way to pass the time.

• Hela subdued Heidai, but Armor Shark killed him with blades of water before he could escape.
• Hela calmed the Sea Herrings and learned Heidai had been docile before suddenly attacking while muttering that he was hungry.
• Armor Shark revealed that at least ten other wounded beasts had gone berserk, then introduced himself and acknowledged Hela.
• Armor Shark left to stop the other crazed beasts and ordered Hela to take shelter; Hela suspected a powerful outsider might be responsible.
• Hela returned to Tang Tang's empty home and, bored without her phone, thought about finding something to draw with.

Hela spent time with Tang Tang, then joined the injured Spirit Shark on a trip to meet the remaining guardian and seek its acknowledgment. Spirit Shark abruptly carried Hela away as a Sea Shark Dragon, leaving Hela embarrassed after she admitted she had feared falling to her death in the water.

• Hela asked Tang Tang for drawing tools and made a lifelike portrait of her, delighting Tang Tang and offering to teach her to draw.
• Spirit Shark returned with small wounds, warned Tang Tang that exotic beasts had gone mad, and said the area’s beasts were probably cleared out.
• Spirit Shark told Hela to accompany her after resting so they could meet the remaining guardian and try to secure its acknowledgment.

Hela, Spirit Shark, and Mingsha patrolled Mingsha’s territory, where Hela learned about the Sea Shark Dragons and their guardians. After they returned to Mingsha’s home, his little sister Minghai declared that Hela should marry her brother, leaving Hela embarrassed and Mingsha flustered.

• Spirit Shark brought Hela to meet Mingsha, who agreed to protect her while she sought the Sea Shark Dragons’ approval.

• Wang Canxin stopped Yan Wusheng from attacking the Sea Herring and said they needed to reunite with the Special Extermination Squad and find the Light God Society.
• Spirit Shark woke Mingsha and Hela to deal with a rampaging behemoth and evacuate the Sea Herring.

• Hela ate the entire fish, realized how much she had consumed, and pocketed the remaining bones before heading toward Tang Tang’s home.
• Spirit Shark spotted a black-haired woman hiding behind a reef and questioned her about following her.
• The woman attacked Spirit Shark with a blade, and Spirit Shark fought back with water slashes and her powerful tail.
• As Spirit Shark gained the advantage, the woman became excited about earning a reward and calling someone master.
• Spirit Shark sensed the woman’s male accomplice approaching and struck at him, but he countered her slashes with a beam of light.
• The woman attacked Spirit Shark from behind, cutting several wounds into her body before retreating as the man vanished again.

Spirit Shark was blinded and manipulated by the surface dwellers into fighting two exotic beasts, then forgot the battle and continued to the ocean world's core. She arrived wounded to report an unusual threat and was met by an older Sea Shark Dragon and Little Fish.

• Two exotic beasts rushed to attack the woman, who wounded and poisoned them while the invisible man blinded Spirit Shark.
• The poisoned beasts attacked Spirit Shark in the darkness until her sight returned, and the woman’s toxin made her forget the fight.
• Spirit Shark killed the two exotic beasts, wondered how she had been wounded, and swam away with three trails of stirred sand following her.
• After nearly two days, Spirit Shark reached the ocean world's core and told a patrol Sea Shark Dragon she needed to report an unusual event and request support.
• Spirit Shark entered the core and found an older male Sea Shark Dragon, who asked about her wounds and called for Little Fish to treat her.

Spirit Shark told White Foam Shark that exotic beasts in her area had suddenly gone mad and that a surface dweller named Hela had appeared there. Though Spirit Shark doubted Hela was responsible, she admitted that Hela sometimes gave off an aura comparable to [Ocean], and White Foam Shark left to investigate and report the danger.

• Spirit Shark took White Foam Shark’s drawing of her, called him a pervert, and asked him for help with the rampaging exotic beasts near her home.
• Spirit Shark told White Foam Shark that the beasts had gone mad five or six days earlier, around the time Hela appeared in her area.
• Spirit Shark explained that Hela was undergoing the guardians’ trials and that she did not believe Hela was responsible for the beasts’ behavior.
• Spirit Shark accused White Foam Shark of mistreating the Sea Herring after the Sea Herring’s explanation prompted Spirit Shark to punch him into a wall.
• Spirit Shark admitted she was wary of Hela because she sensed a terrifying aura from her that might rival [Ocean].
• White Foam Shark agreed to help Spirit Shark, then left to check whether other areas had similar cases and to report the matter to [Ocean].

White Foam Shark reported a surface dweller to Ocean, who reluctantly agreed to let him judge her for himself. Later, Nanming, vice bishop of the Light God Society, revealed his organization’s plan to Ocean and claimed it would use the Tree of Terra and Thought to wipe out humanity.

• White Foam Shark entered the ocean’s core and told Ocean that a surface dweller had appeared.
• Ocean reacted violently to the news, then agreed to give White Foam Shark a chance to investigate her.
• Nanming appeared before Ocean with Brother Ye and a black-haired girl, and introduced himself as the Light God Society’s vice bishop.
• Nanming invited Ocean to join the Society’s plan to wipe out humanity, claiming Four Seasons had joined and Sky was inclined to support them.
• Ocean rejected the proposal and said destroying humanity with the power of the Ultimate was impossible, but Nanming said the Society would use the Tree of Terra and Thought instead.

Hela worked as a guardian among the Sea Herring, then entered Ten Thousand Sharks Valley to find Xiaohai’s missing friend and investigate the absent former guardian, Spirit Shark. She discovered that the valley’s apparent fog was made of microorganisms and began searching inside.

• Hela handled the Sea Herring’s problems and learned that a male Sea Herring had been chasing his former lover after he ran off with someone else.
• Xiaohai told Hela that her friend had been missing in Ten Thousand Sharks Valley for three days and that she could not find Spirit Shark.
• Hela agreed to help Xiaohai and left for Ten Thousand Sharks Valley, while Hai Bian called for help as another Sea Herring carried him away.
• Hela entered the valley, realized its fog consisted of countless microorganisms, and started searching for Xiaohai’s friend.

Hela searched Ten Thousand Sharks Valley, escaped a shark, and found a captive Sea Herring in a glowing cave. She met a masked figure who spoke Great Xia Language and claimed to be human, but the Sea Herring warned her that he was dangerous.

• Hela dodged a shark and fled until she lost track of where she was.
• Hela noticed a glowing cave and found a bound, gagged Sea Herring inside.
• A masked, tube-covered figure appeared, and Hela grabbed the Sea Herring and tried to flee.
• The figure spoke Great Xia Language, causing Hela to stop and ask if he was human.
• The Sea Herring warned Hela that the figure had captured and tormented him, while the figure claimed he had only tied him up to learn his language.

Hela entered an air-filled cave with the masked man and discovered she was back in her original world. There, Nangong Wu introduced himself as a Night Star and began explaining how he had ended up in the Ocean World.

• Hela questioned the Sea Herring, then followed the masked man through a narrow opening in the cave.
• Hela surfaced in an air-filled chamber and realized she might be able to return home and see her mother and Zhao Rui.
• The masked man removed his equipment and revealed his face to be that of a fat, honest-looking man.
• Hela introduced herself to the Sea Herring as a guardian in training who had come to rescue him, but asked to clarify a few things before leaving.
• The man introduced himself as Nangong Wu and proudly told Hela that he was a Night Star who fought Variants to protect humanity.

Hela discovered that Nangong Wu was a member of Night Star and believed he could help her return to the surface. The group left Ten Thousand Sharks Valley together, while a mysterious emotionless voice spoke in Hela’s mind.

• Nangong Wu showed Hela his Night Star badge and said he could take her back to the surface if he found his separated squadmates.
• Hela agreed to leave Ten Thousand Sharks Valley with Nangong Wu and Sea Herring, and Nangong Wu put on an old diving suit.
• Sea Herring joined Hela and Nangong Wu as they set out, then quietly moved behind Hela when Nangong Wu arrived in the water.
• An emotionless voice that sounded like Hela’s own asked whether anyone had said something, but Hela dismissed it as her imagination.

Nangong Wu, Hela, and the Sea Herring reached the exit of Ten Thousand Sharks Valley, where the Titan Giant Shark awakened and attacked them. As others rushed toward the disturbance, Nangong Wu fled with Hela and the Sea Herring while the colossal shark pursued them.

• The Sea Herring warned Hela and Nangong Wu to move quietly because a powerful beast guarded the valley exit.
• The Titan Giant Shark roared, and Hela muttered that she sensed an Immortal before Nangong Wu ordered everyone to run.
• Tang Tang clung to Spirit Shark as the shaking reached her home, and White Foam Shark sensed trouble in Ten Thousand Sharks Valley.
• Ocean confronted Nanming about the disturbance, and Nanming disclosed that two people at the Starlight realm had also arrived.

Hela, Nangong Wu, and the Sea Herring fled a pursuing Titan Shark, but Hela’s mysterious battle instinct briefly took control and broke Nangong Wu’s arm. The chase paused as the Titan Shark stared past them at something behind them.

• The Sea Herring clung to Nangong Wu as they fled the Titan Shark, while Hela felt an intense urge to fight it.
• Nangong Wu shielded them from the Titan Shark’s roar and raised stone barriers, but the fog slowed their escape.
• Nangong Wu found a purple-glowing watch and prepared to teleport them away.
• Hela suddenly snapped Nangong Wu’s arm, causing him to drop the watch into the deep sea.
• Hela returned to herself, was confused by Nangong Wu’s injury, and both of them turned to see the Titan Shark staring at something behind them.
