He conceals his cultivation while accumulating techniques, pills, and artifacts. After finding Lu Fan beaten at Menial Peak, he secretly helps him and later recommends him for the menial disciples’ competition instead of competing himself. Lu Fan wins and shares a Foundation Establishment Pill with him 5 6.

Concerned for his parents’ safety, Han Xuanji relocates them to the Han Household in Lintian City. He presents himself there as a Foundation Establishment cultivator despite having already attained Spirit Transformation, preserving the concealment of his true strength 19 24 25.

Lower-Realm Travels and Ascension

Han Xuanji rescues Li Taiqing from a threatening Divine Profound Sect guest elder, kills the elder, and permits Li Taiqing to cultivate nearby and seek guidance. Their discussions reveal that Li Taiqing received the Azure Lotus Sword Scripture from a jade pendant, which Han Xuanji suspects is a token to an undiscovered treasured place 116.

His travels across Linyuan Continent bring rewards from ruined sects and sacred grounds. At the Heavenly Evolution Dao Sect, he acquires the Heavenly Evolution Diagram, Five Emperors Devil-Subduing Great Method, Five Elements Dao Physique, and Fortune-Expanding Sacred Method 164.

Before ascending, he watches his parents and younger sister’s family without revealing himself. Respecting their contentment with mortal life, he orders the servant he names Han Shou to safeguard their bloodline and happiness for ten thousand years. He later ascends alongside Daoist Lingyun, leaving Li Taiqing additional sword instruction and stored Sword Qi 175 180.

Spirit Void Heavenly Palace

In the upper realm, Han Xuanji becomes the Spirit Void Heavenly Palace’s Dao Child with strong backing from the Sword and Pill Lineages. His identity is initially known to very few people within the sect 259.

He welcomes Lu Fan, Lin Potian, and Nangong Wenjian after their ascension. At their request, he arranges for them to undergo the ordinary entrance assessment rather than receive special admission. Lu Fan joins the Pill Lineage, Lin Potian the Body Lineage, and Nangong Wenjian the Sword Lineage 281.

Mystic Heaven Dao Palace and the Immortal Realm

Han Xuanji establishes Mystic Heaven Dao Palace as an institution that accepts elite disciples. It retains close ties with the Spirit Void Heavenly Palace, whose core disciples occasionally visit to study 498.

The Heavenly Emperor grants him the title Mystic Heaven Wuji Creation Great Heavenly Venerable. His standing helps reinforce the Heavenly Court’s authority over an alliance whose powers had previously resisted one another’s leadership 451 452.

When outside Chaos forces threaten the Immortal Realm, Han Xuanji undertakes to deal with them while the Heavenly Emperor maintains stability. Even during these preparations, he monitors his disciples’ safety, sending Li Taiqing, Jiang Hao, and Yun Wuji through the Chaos Heavenly Gate to rescue Lin Feng 534.

Beyond Chaos

Soul Ancestor informs Han Xuanji that she comes from the Eternal Continent, also called the Other Shore, and that Primal Chaos worlds are born on the Tree of Eternity. After attaining Eternal Dao Master, he promises the Chaos experts that he will return to help them transcend and secures their agreement to protect the Immortal Realm 595 604 609.

Before leaving, he entrusts Mystic Heaven Dao Palace’s daily affairs to Li Taiqing and instructs the disciples to consult one another on major decisions. On the Eternal Continent, he becomes known as the Soul Household’s S-Rank Heaven’s Chosen and receives support from Hun Qianxue and Hun Qianling 615 667 701 731.

His discoveries expose threats involving Hun Qianchen and Hun Zangfeng. Rather than act without support, he urgently seeks a meeting with Hun Qianxue through Hun Qianling 704.

Nine Mysteries Palace and Sacred Court

Han Xuanji becomes the Nine Mysteries Holy Lord’s disciple, declining Elder Meng’s offer. He subsequently leaves Thousand Souls City for his new master’s sphere of influence 791.

In the Ten Directions Sacred Domain, his conflict with the Ten Thousand Immortals Association escalates after he kills Wang Qing in response to an attack. He initially accepts Liu Wanxu’s apology, but later confronts Chi Yuan in a restricted temple and defeats him 849 890 895.

Han Xuanji takes first place in the fifteen-day selection battle, defeating Ying Yuan and earning Ying Jiutian’s thanks for showing mercy. He is subsequently identified as the Dragon Terrace Sacred Banquet’s champion, appointed Divine Son of the Eternal Plan by the nine supreme powers, and recognized as the Sacred Court’s Young Emperor 944 994 1057.

Han Xuanji prioritizes survival, preparation, and steady growth over public recognition. Even after forging a flawless Golden Core, he considers himself too early in his development to seek fame. Much later, he refuses to attempt an Eternal True Lord breakthrough with only a fifty-percent chance of success, preferring certainty 5 753.

He remains approachable to old friends despite enormous differences in cultivation and treats new acquaintances with measured courtesy. He avoids unnecessary arguments, accepts protection without embarrassment, and recognizes that lasting loyalty can develop through reciprocal benefits 281 656 731 801 803.

His restraint does not prevent decisive violence. He kills the elder threatening Li Taiqing, retaliates lethally against Wang Qing’s attack, and refuses to spare enemies merely for the sake of appearing kind 116 581 849.
