Background and History

Rise to Emperor Clan

The Su Clan’s ascent was traditionally attributed to an exceptionally talented Su emperor. After fighting the first-generation true dragon of the True Dragon Nest, he obtained the complete True Dragon Divine Body method and used it to perfect the Nine Dragons Divine Art 659.

Su Xiuyi later uncovered a more troubling explanation. He deduced that the Slaughter Ancestral Dragon had helped the Su Clan become an imperial clan as part of a larger scheme involving its rebirth, the creation of the Dragon Race, and the transfer of its curse 677.

The clan had also produced a God King in its earlier history. This legacy remained concealed from Su Xiuyi until he entered the God Realm 762.

Direct-Line Crisis

Su Shenghuang’s return briefly restored the direct line’s influence. Soon afterward, an ancestor was poisoned and fell into a coma. With Su Ming’s collateral branch gaining support, Su Shenghuang could not immediately restore control and instead entered a dangerous region to seek a cure 691.

Su Ming’s talent allowed his branch to challenge the direct line’s traditional position. Su Xiuyi’s existence threatened that ascent: he belonged to the direct line, was Su Shenghuang’s son, and was the grandson of the serving clan leader, Su Chen 670 691 709.

After Su Xiuyi surpassed Su Ming on the Prodigy Ranking, Su Chen and Ye Qingcang moved to promote him as the clan’s future leader. Rival powers watched the succession struggle, hoping either to support its eventual winner or exploit a weakened Su Clan 700 702.

War with the Undying Blood Clan

The Undying Blood Clan sought to eliminate the direct line and place Su Ming in control. Its agents identified Su Shenghuang as the reincarnation of the Su Clan’s Sacred Ancestor and regarded the conflict as a blood feud 727.

An ambush against Su Xiuyi drew out the Su Clan’s concealed ancestors. Rather than merely rescuing him, they killed five enemy Demigods, pursued the retreating attackers into the Blood Realm, and returned without casualties. The clan then openly declared war 728 729.

Su Ming’s connection to the enemy became explicit during his confrontation with Su Xiuyi. He admitted that Undying Blood Clan blood flowed through his body, while an infiltrating enemy God engaged the Su Clan’s divine ancestor 752.

Succession and Divine Expansion

Su Xiuyi’s achievements in the True Phoenix Secret Realm convinced the ancestors to end the succession contest and name him future patriarch. Su Ming and an ancestor of his branch objected 750 751.

After becoming a God, Su Xiuyi declined the position in favor of cultivation. At his recommendation, the Sacred Ancestor appointed Su Shengnan, allowing Su Chen to withdraw from administration and pursue further advancement 758.

Su Xiuyi subsequently killed four attacking Undying Blood Clan Gods and enabled the revival of the God Creation Plan. The clan produced close to twenty Gods, dramatically increasing its military strength 760 762.

Establishment as an Ancient Race

Su Xiuyi destroyed seven hostile Emperor Clans and helped the Su Clan secure the Undying Blood Realm. Its defense exposed internal traitors, who abandoned the clan for the attacking Ancient Races 763 766 769.

Once the Heart of the World was refined, the clan could close the passage between realms. The Sacred Ancestor announced its control of the Ancient Realm and rewarded seven loyal imperial clans with subordinate status and access to conquered territories and resources 772.

A subsequent invasion ended with three enemy God Kings and dozens of Gods dead. The War Clan’s intervention and the Black Tortoise Wang Clan’s support established a three-clan alliance capable of opposing the remaining hostile Ancient Races 775 777.

Return of the Ancient Emperors

The return of ancient emperors renewed the threat of extermination. The Heavenly God Emperor vowed to destroy the Su Clan after learning of the Ancient Realms’ destruction 808.

As hostile emperors prepared to attack, Su Shengnan allowed alliance members to leave rather than compel their loyalty. Most departed, but roughly a dozen clan heads pledged to stand with her. The Blood Lord and Qilin Emperor advanced against the Su Tribe, while the Celestial Person Emperor chose to observe 813.

  • Weapon array: Clan members jointly wield a Heavenly God weapon through an array, cleaving the invading Green Wood Demon God in two 766.
  • Realm isolation: Control of the Heart of the World permits the Ancient Realm’s entrance to be closed against invasion 772.
