Squelch!

A single sword strike sent blood flowing.

"Boss, we can't go on like this! We've all died more than a dozen times!"

In the dimensional space, Sevatar panted as he stared at the Necrons that had restored themselves yet again.

He felt completely numb.

They couldn't kill them all. There was simply no end to them.

"More than that," Shen said. "They've pretty much figured out our current attack patterns and combat logic."

"I reckon that, at most, three more times and they'll be able to kill us in one move."

"We need to change."

With those words from Curze, all the squad members taking part in the training for the first time began feeling their way toward new ways of working together.

It was clumsy, even worse than their previous fighting style, but with their powerful individual abilities, the new approach soon produced results.

It soon produced results.

On a street in Nostramo, Trazyn sat in a chair with a basket of apples and took a bite of one.

"These boys are sharp. Good, very good. By human standards, they're certainly outstanding."

"But... this approach to genetic enhancement is rather crude."

"Well, you're the only bunch of nephews I've gotten to know since I was reborn. Can't have Old Han accusing me of slacking off, can I?"

The group training in the dimensional space had no idea.

With each death, certain genetic problems in their bodies that had originally posed hidden dangers were quietly erased.

To them, the most obvious result was that they were stronger! Faster!

They could even keep up with Curze.

"Whew! Whew! Whew! Boss... how long have we been training?"

"Half a day."

"What?! Half a day?! We've died thousands of times!"

Talos really was having a hard time taking it.

Dying thousands of times in half a day wasn't even a question of whether it was discouraging. It was pure domination.

"Adaptation training is over. My assessment is that you barely passed."

"Barely passed?" Curze looked at the Collector.

"Yes, they barely passed. As for you, Curze, you're still thirty percent short of passing."

"Don't misunderstand. As Old Han's son, I simply have higher expectations for you."

"Those expectations are as scientifically sound and reasonable as possible. They won't shatter your confidence, but they'll push you to your limits."

"Then let's keep going!"

"We're in too!"

"Heh, good spirit."

A day later, the first group to undergo adaptation training had all come out.

Drenched in sweat, they lay sprawled inelegantly across the living room.

"Oh, you're done training? How do you feel?"

"We... we passed," Curze said with difficulty.

"Good. Nothing in life is perfect; absolute perfection is never possible."

"Old Han, you spoil these boys too much. They'll need more training."

Trazyn's signature silver-gray cane entered Han Mingxuan's sight first. Then he saw Trazyn walk in, holding a green apple.

"Don't be so harsh. I'm just an ordinary person, and there's only so much I can do. I'll have to rely on you for combat training."

"True enough, but you could think of a way to help them with magic resistance."

Magic resistance?

That's right!

"Leave it to an old monster like you to come up with something. Hahaha, thanks for reminding me."

He couldn't do anything about physical resistance for now, but magic resistance was no problem.

Definitely.

"Let them rest first. I have something to discuss with you."

Trazyn waved a hand and put them all in the guest rooms.

"Is it about transforming Nostramo?"

Han Mingxuan had mentioned it before Trazyn was reborn.

"Yes. I want to move Nostramo, along with its entire planetary system, into a habitable zone."

"The cosmic environment around Nostramo right now is rather hard to accept."

"I understand. This place is like a grave teeming with life. It really isn't pleasant."

"Tell me your plan. I could use the exercise."

Han Mingxuan then described his vision.

Put simply, he described Earth as his model.

As he described it, knowledge and memories sprang into his mind in exhaustive detail.

That book even flipped through its own pages in his head.

"Hmm, a very detailed planetary customization plan. It'll take some extra measures and time."

"About how long?"

"First, let me ask: is there anything about this planet you're attached to?"

"Nothing at all."

"Then no problem. Give me one week... two weeks, and I'll transform a star system."

"When the time comes, I'll scan Nostramo, move it over exactly as it is, and transform it there."

"Once the transformation is complete, I'll open a phase portal between the two planets, and you can take the people of Nostramo over."

"After you've moved, I'll melt this place down while I'm at it and put it in that star world to provide you with mineral resources."

Han Mingxuan was stunned.

"That... that impressive?"

"Shows how little you've seen. What looks like a miracle to you is just redecorating to us. Child's play."

"Necron Technology, truly awe-inspiring." Han Mingxuan gave him an emphatic thumbs-up.

"Hahahaha, that's the first time I've gotten a surprised look out of you. Worth it."

"Then that's settled for now. I'll get the Crypteks moving."

"Sorry for the trouble."

"What are you saying? There's no need for that between us."

Han Mingxuan was not only his benefactor, but also a great benefactor to the Necrons.

"By the way, are there any limits to your ability to give people souls?"

"Hmm... right now, I can probably give souls to two more people. Why, do you have relatives?"

"How should I put it? We're rather close."

"No problem, then. Bring them over when the time comes and have bodies ready. I'll handle the rest."

"Hahaha, thanks."

"No need for that between us."

"All right, time for me to get busy. I'm really looking forward to this-my first major project since coming back to life."

The days that followed were peaceful, except on the Tomb World where Trazyn resided.

The moment he returned, all the Necrons erupted!

Trazyn had come back to life!

"Now, we need to give our most noble, most sincere, and most reliable ally a gift in return."

"We will transform an entire star system into a habitable world for him. The time limit is two weeks, Nostramo standard time. Begin."

The moment the operation began, Trazyn added Han Mingxuan to the underlying protocols of his Tomb World.

Of course, he added his nephews too, though with a lower priority.

With that, the entire Tomb World stirred, and the Crypteks all came out in force.

In two weeks, the Crypteks worked a miracle.

They transformed the entire star system containing a planet that was already habitable, and built every planet according to the Earth template Han Mingxuan had provided.

There were only a few minor differences.

Perhaps the species were a little more unusual in some places, and the terrain a little more unusual in others.

Simply put, they were otherworldly Earths with plenty of character.

Two weeks later, Trazyn gave Han Mingxuan a definite answer.

"Old Han, it's ready. Want to take a look?"
