New Earth
"Before I knew it, two weeks had already passed. Let's go take a look."
Trazyn put a force-field shield around Han Mingxuan to make sure he would be safe in space.
Then Trazyn took Han Mingxuan to the remodeled star system.
"Take a look, Old Han. The remodeled star system."
What came into view was not a single-star system, but a binary star system.
"The remodeled star system has twelve planets. Counting Nostramo, which hasn't been moved here yet, that makes thirteen."
"Four of them are mining worlds. The other nine are yours to plan as you see fit."
"Also, in accordance with your specific plans, while keeping construction as close to the template as possible, each planet has at least seven continental fortresses, divided according to their continental shelves."
"Good, good, good."
Han Mingxuan merely repeated the word several times, unable to say anything else.
He was staring intently at the blue planet.
A new Earth.
Trazyn clearly noticed Han Mingxuan's gaze and looked in the same direction.
Of all the remodeled planets, this one was the closest to the template.
Looking at the planet, Han Mingxuan felt his eyes grow a little hot.
It was simply miraculous to see such a clean planet in this world.
"Come on, I'll take you down for a look."
In an instant, the two of them were on the planet's surface.
Looking at the mountains and rivers, every blade of grass and every tree, Han Mingxuan felt a sense of unreality.
"Everything has been prepared according to your requirements, from basic urban infrastructure to emergency responses in wartime."
"Take this."
Han Mingxuan looked at what Trazyn handed him, unsure what it was.
It was a button.
"This is the master control device for the entire star system. If something goes wrong one day, you can destroy this place in an instant."
"A dead hand system?"
"Yes. This dead hand system is bound directly to you. It can only be activated after authentication."
Necron Technology really was a little too overpowered.
"The maximum population each planet can support within its environmental capacity is thirteen billion. If that number is exceeded and left unchecked, it will damage the environment."
"I understand. Thank you, Trazyn."
"It was nothing more than a small favor. There's no need to thank me."
It was simple for a Necron, but for Han Mingxuan, it was the best reward he could have received.
"There's something I want to entrust to you."
"Stop right there. I only agreed to acknowledge our kinship for your sake. Don't even think about dragging me into it again."
Necrons were Necrons, and humans were humans. They were two separate matters.
"This has nothing to do with that."
"Oh?"
"If-and I mean if-I die one day, and someone turns this sector into hell, help me destroy it."
"Or, if the day comes when Warp Daemons are about to run rampant in this sector, you can add it to your collection. I wouldn't mind if you left it gathering dust in a corner of your museum."
Hearing Han Mingxuan speak as though he were entrusting an orphan to his care, Trazyn gave him his promise.
"I, the Necron Overlord Trazyn the Infinite, promise you that if such a day truly comes, I will do as you ask."
Trazyn had known from the first moment he saw Han Mingxuan.
He was an exceptionally unusual ordinary man, and Trazyn could not interfere with his life or death.
"Many thanks."
With Trazyn's promise, Han Mingxuan felt much more at ease.
"What are you planning to name this sector?"
"The Peaceful Star System."
"Wanting peace in this universe? Old Han, you really are an idealist through and through."
"This isn't an ideal. It's my wish."
"I hope the nation can prosper, the people can live in safety, and all under heaven can be at peace."
With that, the planet relocation plan was on track.
Nostramo, Light-Bathed Square, before the Monument to the Savior.
Since the completion of the first phase of construction, this was the second time there had been such a major commotion.
Fifty Thunder Warriors worked day and night to prepare the entire square, while the nobles contributed money and labor amid a flurry of activity.
However.
Han Mingxuan didn't know who had come, but he knew perfectly well who hadn't.
"Father, the Tempatio Family has been too quiet lately. They didn't even take part in the preparations this time."
Pationa?
"When did she drop out of sight?"
"She's barely shown her face since the second-phase plan began. The public explanation is that she's in poor health."
In poor health?
That's exactly how it should be.
If she were still up and about, the Necrons' Blackstone Artifacts might as well have been used to skip stones.
"How are things going on our end?"
"We've taken care of appearances and the practical side. I also sent people to investigate, and Pationa really is in poor health. Should we look into it more closely?"
"No need. She can't be separated from that district, and the Necrons have specialized means of blocking off the Warp and Psychic Power. It's only natural that she's feeling unwell."
"Besides, it probably won't be long before Huangpizi asks for a blessing. If she's still up and about then, the Great Immortal Huang will deal with her."
Putting together Han Mingxuan's scattered remarks and the training he had received from the collector during this time,
Curze also knew just how heaven-defying Necron Technology was.
"Then should we take this chance to get rid of her?"
"Are you an idiot? Get rid of one, and someone even more troublesome will take her place. Don't be so reckless."
"A known wolf is safer than an unknown snake."
"Just stay alert. As for the rest, let her be."
Three days later, the preparations at Light-Bathed Square were complete, and the planetary migration plan was born that same day.
"People of Nostramo, the first phase of construction has greatly improved our standard of living."
"But this is a planet surrounded by the deathly aura of its star. We live in a grave."
This was a thorn in the heart of every Nostraman.
It was bearable as long as it was left untouched, but the slightest touch sent a faint pain spreading through their bodies, eating away at everyone's nerves.
They were the first generation after Nostramo's rebirth, and they felt passionately about both their future and their planet.
At first, no one brought it up.
Because everyone understood one unchangeable fact.
So what if you were strong?
A star was a star; the weak could not overcome the strong.
As long as they stayed here, Nostramo would die, and it would be the most agonizing kind of slow death.
Today, the Father of Night, who held a revered place in the hearts of Nostramans, brought that thorn into the open.
"Everyone, we are human beings, children of the stars, an indispensable part of life in the universe."
"We should enjoy the sunlight and land that belong to us. The people of Nostramo have a right to these things."
"Today, I have gathered you here because of a decision."
Everyone held their breath and listened intently to what Han Mingxuan was about to say.
"We will undertake an interstellar migration, using the ancient technology we unearthed during the first phase of construction to open the way to a bright future for ourselves."
