Aoki Tsuki led missions against smugglers and rogue groups, survived escalating clashes with Sunagakure and Iwagakure, and joined Lord Hanzō’s guard unit while Root maneuvered behind the scenes. The arc ended with Hanzō pursuing the Iron Fang Group after its mine trap killed many of Amegakure’s vanguard.
Aoki Tsuki played both sides as Hanzō and Danzo moved against Akatsuki, then helped Nagato and Konan take control of Amegakure. He became an adviser to the new regime and helped recruit Sasori, as Akatsuki prepared to challenge the Five Great Nations.
Aoki Tsuki joined Akatsuki, helped secure Amegakure, and carried out missions that brought him into conflict with Konoha and Kirigakure. After aiding Pain in capturing Yagura and building an operation in the Land of Hot Water, he drew Kumogakure’s retaliation and had to halt the cult’s activities.
Aoki Tsuki built his strength and influence within Akatsuki while uncovering leaks in its intelligence and clashing with Obito, Danzo, and Orochimaru’s schemes. The arc ended with Shisui and the Sunagakure squad fighting Sasori as Konan intervened and Shisui shielded them from her explosive paper swords.
Aoki Tsuki expanded the Jashin Cult’s influence while pursuing intelligence and weapons connections, drawing the Uchiha and Konoha into a widening conflict. The arc ended with Danzo exposed for engineering an ambush against the Uchiha, while Aoki returned to Ancient Tanzaku Castle with the clan’s support.
Aoki Tsuki expanded the Jashin Cult, exploited conflicts in Konoha and Kirigakure, and eventually seized leadership after the Jashin Mask revealed its power. As Akatsuki’s alliances shifted, Aoki Tsuki developed a devastating new technique and headed to a gathering where Kisame challenged him and Orochimaru attacked Itachi.
Aoki Tsuki strengthened the Jashin Cult and Akatsuki while helping Amegakure fight Iwagakure and negotiate a ceasefire. He then eased the village’s debt crisis and began exploiting Sunagakure’s need for funds and powerful ninja.
Aoki Tsuki expanded his influence through Akatsuki, the Jashin Cult, and his schemes involving Neji, while the Akatsuki began capturing the Tailed Beasts. After the One-Tail’s extraction, Tsuki intervened in the fight against Naruto’s transformed Nine-Tails, and continued preparing Neji to rebel against Konoha and the Hyuga Main Family.
Aoki Tsuki and Akatsuki prepared for war while the Allied Shinobi Forces fought Akatsuki across the battlefield. The story left Aoki Tsuki wounded after facing Might Guy, Pain confronting the Sannin in Konoha, and Neji taking control of the Hyuga clan compound.
Pain’s assault on Konoha escalated into a battle over the Ten-Tails and the future of the Shinobi World, while Sasuke learned the truth about Itachi and confronted Naruto. Nagato and Aoki Tsuki defeated Madara, and the survivors watched the sun rise.
