Background / History
Bai Heng was a Foxian traveler and exceptional pilot remembered as the Foxian's First Flyer. Although she later rejoined the Sky-Faring Commission, she refused Yukong's offer to make her helmsman; she preferred flying and hoped to become a Nameless traveling the Sea of Stars rather than managing official duties. 147 157
During the Shuhuo crisis seven centuries earlier, Bai Heng came into direct contact with Shuhuo's flesh and blood. Uncertain whether she could retain herself, she voluntarily sealed herself in Six-Phased Ice within the Prison of Confinement. While imprisoned, she continually fought Shuhuo's influence in a long and painful dream that replayed her life and the lives destroyed by the calamity. 111 147
When Jing Yuan and Bai Heng thawed her, she initially appeared as her former self: disheveled but optimistic, and confused enough to believe their reunion was taking place in the underworld. 146 Her awakening soon revealed the extent of Shuhuo's influence. Though she remained the real Bai Heng rather than a puppet, her memories had been tainted and reshaped around belief in the Benevolence of the Medicine King. 147
During Shuhuo's return, Bai Heng resisted its attempt to merge their powers. This resistance caused Shuhuo's Abundance concept to begin separating, creating the opening needed to destroy it. 149 Bai Heng's counterpart later used an emerald blood bead to draw Shuhuo's consciousness and Imaginary Energy out of her body. 151
Appearance
Before her transformation, Bai Heng had pale-purple fur, well-kept fox ears and tail, mercury-like eyes, and a snow-white fur coat. Her posture was somewhat untidy immediately after thawing from the Six-Phased Ice. 146
As the Thousand-Tailed Vixen, her appearance becomes markedly more imposing:
- Light-purple hair gains a cyan sheen and falls to her waist. 147
- Her fox tail manifests cyan-purple phantoms resembling a thousand tails. 147
- Her eyes take on an intense crimson hue, with downturned corners resembling red makeup. 147
- She carries a sky-blue longbow patterned with golden vines and surrounded by Imaginary arrows. 147
Personality
Bai Heng was originally lively, optimistic, and drawn to bustling places. She openly admits that she is unsuited to complicated administration, preferring the sky and the freedom of travel. 146 157
Her seven-century confinement leaves her altered by pain, isolation, and Shuhuo's interference. As the Thousand-Tailed Vixen, she is notably colder and more distant, yet she retains fragments of her former self and initially states that she does not intend to harm Jing Yuan or the others. 147
Her endurance is central to her identity: she spent centuries resisting Shuhuo's influence, eventually turning the Abundance power forced upon her into a means of opposing it. 147 149
Abilities & Skills
Abundance Emanation
As the Thousand-Tailed Vixen, Bai Heng possesses Emanator-level power from the Path of Abundance. Her presence carries the aura of a Scourge comparable to Shuhuo in its prime. 147

- Can create a protective sanctuary by vibrating the air with her bowstring. 149
- Projects numerous spectral tails capable of restraining and tearing at opponents. 149
- Her power and memories were initially compromised by Shuhuo's influence. 147
Path-Concept Separation
Bai Heng learns, through prolonged contact with Abundance, how to undermine Shuhuo's attempted fusion of Path powers. 149
