Background / History

Undercover Life and Estrangement

Qian Renxue spends nearly twenty years undercover in the Heaven Dou Empire as Crown Prince Xue Qinghe. Although she pursues the throne, she resents having to live behind another person’s appearance for so long. Her personal maid Xiao He accompanies her for over ten years and supports her through periods of emotional collapse 131 139.

Her relationship with Bibi Dong is openly cold among Spirit Hall’s senior members. Qian Renxue blames her mother for a childhood and youth spent without maternal affection, while also opposing Bibi Dong’s restrictions on the Worship Hall’s power. Qian Daoliu initially urges her to avoid confrontation and concentrate on cultivation 44 46 122.

Attempts to Recruit Lin Chen

After learning of Bibi Dong’s marriage, Qian Renxue orders an investigation into Lin Chen and his backing. She later summons him to the Worship Hall, tests his strength, and offers him political authority, treasures, and an eighty-thousand-year Soul Bone if he joins her faction. She eventually includes herself in the offer, but he refuses to abandon Bibi Dong 8 45 46.

When Lin Chen disappears beneath a lake, Qian Renxue joins the attempted rescue. Neither her Angel Judgment nor Qian Daoliu’s attack can break the barrier concealing him 61.

Her pursuit continues in Heaven Dou’s palace, where she asks Lin Chen to remain neutral during her future revenge. He refuses, but promises to try to resolve the hatred between mother and daughter. Later, she agrees to compete for power without harming Bibi Dong’s feelings or life, though Lin Chen still will not promise noninterference 98 122.

Seizing Heaven Dou

Using poison obtained by Qian Daoliu, Qian Renxue gradually weakens Emperor Xue Ye while presenting his condition as a serious illness. She avoids killing him openly because a suspicious death could jeopardize her succession. When Tang San’s group attempts to save him, she surrounds the bedchamber as Xue Qinghe and accuses them of assassination 119 123.

Following Xue Ye’s death, she accepts Lin Chen’s plan to retain Tang San as leverage until the Clear Sky Sect publicly withdraws. She then succeeds to the throne as Emperor Qinghe. During this period, her relationship with Lin Chen becomes romantic 130 131 132.

Tang Hao subsequently attacks her over Tang San’s treatment. Forced to reveal her true appearance, she confronts him directly but is defeated; Lin Chen intervenes before Tang Hao can cripple her Soul Power 134.

Consolidating Her Rule

Qian Renxue introduces policies benefiting the populace, recruits Soul Master legions, and expands central authority. She replaces most of Heaven Dou City’s royal guards with trusted personnel 139.

Her response to rebellion is considerably harsher. She orders executions for concealed ties to the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan and uses covert interventions to replace disloyal rulers. She initially preserves the Li Clan while its influence remains useful, but later eliminates it. By then, her military control is strong enough that exposing her identity would make little difference 142 151.

The replacement kings of Barak and Alpha nevertheless join the Clear Sky Sect’s Freedom Alliance. Rather than attack immediately, Qian Renxue recommends consolidating the Spirit Hall Empire first 144.

Worship Hall Conflict and Angel Trials

At Qian Daoliu’s urging, Qian Renxue trades the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud to Tang San for six top-grade Soul Bones. Her grandfather intends Tang San to become a counterweight against Bibi Dong and Lin Chen. Qian Renxue recognizes the arrangement as a temporary convergence of interests rather than dependable loyalty 161.

Their priorities diverge when Qian Daoliu uses the Heaven Dou Royal Legion to obstruct Spirit Hall’s campaign against the Clear Sky Sect. Qian Renxue attempts to return to Spirit City to protect the legion she built, but Qian Jun and Jiang Mo prevent her departure on her grandfather’s orders. She later follows Qian Daoliu into seclusion to pursue godhood 168 169 173.

During the trials, Qian Daoliu reveals Bibi Dong’s killing of Qian Xunji and repeatedly shows Qian Renxue the scene. He sacrifices his soul to assist her inheritance. In the Eighth Trial, Qian Renxue defeats her dark counterpart, retrieves the Angel Holy Swords, and emerges to assume the Worship Hall’s leadership 213 214.

Challenges to Bibi Dong

Qian Renxue’s first major challenge to Bibi Dong ends when Lin Chen blocks an uncontrolled Abyssal Slash that would otherwise kill her. He permits one final contest, hoping she can resolve her longstanding obsession without another fatal confrontation 216 219 220 222.

After becoming the Angel God, she returns for that final battle. Bibi Dong defeats her by using Undying Body to traverse shattered space and attack from behind. Injured, disarmed, and uncertain of her future, Qian Renxue leaves for the starry sky 233 236 237.

Bibi Dong then appoints her to govern the Spirit Hall Empire. Lin Chen follows Qian Renxue, brings her back to Spirit City, and persuades her to accept the throne 238.

Appearance

Personality

Qian Renxue is proud, ambitious, and intensely competitive with her mother. She regards political leadership as something the stronger and more capable person should hold, rather than a position she must surrender because she is Bibi Dong’s daughter. Her resentment centers on being punished emotionally for wrongs she did not commit 122.

Her rulership combines public-benefit policies with ruthless enforcement. She strengthens institutions and military loyalty, but answers organized resistance with executions, purges, and covert changes of leadership 139 142 151.

Her aloof public manner conceals loneliness and a strong desire for affection. With Lin Chen, she becomes teasing, jealous, and openly vulnerable. His importance eventually extends beyond her rivalry with Bibi Dong: during the Angel Eighth Trial, the fear of losing him helps her reject darkness 98 131 157 213.

Despite her anger, she does not initially intend to kill her mother. She also distinguishes her own contest for power from the Worship Hall’s struggle for survival, and tries to protect both its members and the legion she created 168 169 214.
