His arrival coincided with his marriage to Bibi Dong. She initially insisted that their marriage would be in name only and threatened him when he challenged her. After activating the Great Villain System, Lin Chen suppressed her Soul Power and sexually assaulted her. Their formal wedding subsequently took place in the Pope’s Hall 1 2 7.

Lin Chen is boastful, flirtatious, and openly interested in acquiring multiple partners. He enjoys admiration and often uses teasing or shameless humor, but becomes jealous when Bibi Dong’s former relationship with Yu Xiaogang is involved. When Bibi Dong accuses him of pursuing other women despite already having her, he privately admits that she is right 5 10 20 21.

His possessiveness frequently becomes coercive. He uses power suppression, threats, forced bargains, and intimidation to secure obedience or relationships. His treatment of Bibi Dong, Huo Feng, Lord Five, and Zi Zhenzhu demonstrates that he is willing to override resistance rather than accept refusal 1 19 71 86 209.

He is also calculating about both enemies and political opportunities. Rather than immediately kill Tang San, he repeatedly preserves him as a source of Villain Value. He advocates material incentives when courting allies and recommends delaying confrontation when it would jeopardize control of Heaven Dou 13 80 130 184.

Bibi Dong holds a privileged place in his affections. He refuses Qian Renxue’s demand that he abandon her, comforts her when she is distressed, and supports her political ambitions. He nevertheless attempts to prevent the mother and daughter from destroying their relationship 11 46 98 118 223.
