Origin and Entry into Human Society

Gu Yuena was born from the Dragon God’s division rather than from parents. As the Silver Dragon King, she inherited the Dragon God’s elemental powers and the Power of Creation, while the Golden Dragon King inherited the ultimate physical body and the Power of Destruction 81 135.

She adopts the name Gu Yue and an ordinary-looking human disguise. Her initial involvement with Yu Longyue is connected to a bet with Na’er, her avatar, though her affection becomes genuine as she comes to know him 121 122 142.

Meeting Yu Longyue

Gu Yue introduces herself to Yu Longyue at a café, remarking that they both have “Yue” in their names. Their meetings become a daily routine, with cultivation comparisons, teasing, and a shared seat that leads Huo Yuhao to mistake their gathering for a date 11 12.

Her interest also concerns Yu Longyue’s origins. His unusual dragon Martial Soul and bloodline feel familiar to her, and she questions why his power can suppress another dragon Martial Soul so thoroughly 15.

Meanwhile, she directs Di Tian and other Soul Beast subordinates investigating the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. After learning that Di Tian drove a promising Thunder Dragon into human territory thousands of years earlier, she rebukes his shortsightedness and stops the investigation. Realizing that the dragon is now with Yu Longyue, she accepts that the pairing suits him 21.

Shrek Academy

Gu Yue and Yu Longyue take Shrek’s entrance assessments together. She initially holds back, but reveals three elements and Spirit Abyss Realm Spiritual Power when Silver Moon Douluo challenges her performance 23 24.

She refuses Silver Moon Douluo’s offer of discipleship, condemning the elder’s prejudgment of Yu Longyue and preference for already-gifted students. Elder Cai eventually apologizes, and Gu Yue thanks Yu Longyue for confronting a Titled Douluo on her behalf 24 27.

Their closeness deepens at the academy, but his Golden Dragon King bloodline creates a conflict between her feelings and her objectives. When he falls asleep in her room, she considers acting against him to achieve her goal, then chooses not to strike 49.

During the Eastsea City crisis, she uses Xiong Jun to prevent a hostile Titled Douluo from interfering while she observes Yu Longyue’s decisions in battle. When Di Tian demands that she seize his bloodline, she asserts her authority and argues that Yu Longyue may be the Dragon God’s chosen ally. She later stays beside him during his hospital recovery 63 73.

Star Luo Tournament and Dragon Valley

Gu Yue accompanies the Star Luo exchange delegation and faces Yu Longyue in the tournament final. Although she ostensibly seeks the championship’s Soul Bone, she also intends to obtain his Golden Dragon King blood and preserve the option of killing him if he proves not to be the Dragon Clan’s chosen human 84 104 105.

She suppresses his lightning and forces a fierce battle, but cannot overcome his defenses. Yu Longyue ultimately surrenders, making her the individual champion. Her interest in the prize reflects her longstanding collection of Soul Bones, which she regards as remains of her people that she hopes to restore to life 105 107.

After her faction locates Dragon Valley through Long Yue’s Mountain Dragon King Martial Soul, she enters to claim her inheritance. She and Yu Longyue bury the Dragon Clan’s exposed dead and refuse to consume the Dragon Souls, preserving the possibility of their revival 107 118.

The Mountain Dragon King and Light Dragon King bless them with paired rings. Gu Yue admits her love and accepts Yu Longyue’s proposal for a temporary relationship despite their responsibilities to opposing peoples. She subsequently reveals her true appearance and name, and they exchange rings bearing their reverse scales 121 122.

Spirit Pagoda Leadership and Na’er’s Independence

After returning from Dragon Valley, Gu Yuena becomes a level-91 Spirit Envoy. Huo Yuhao, operating as Huo Haodong, later competes with her for the position of Spirit Pagoda Master; she eventually obtains the post 141 160 212.

At eighteen, she ends her bet with Na’er and reclaims the power invested in her avatar. Rather than absorbing Na’er, she uses the Dragon God’s Heart to sustain her independently and replaces her Silver Dragon Spear Martial Soul with a White Dragon Spear 142.

Gu Yuena acknowledges that she once wanted an ordinary human life with family and the freedom to love. Nevertheless, she accepts responsibility for reviving the Dragon Clan and asks Na’er to enjoy the human life she feels unable to choose for herself 142.

Abyss War and Agreement with Humanity

As Spirit Pagoda Master, Gu Yuena insists that defending Douluo Continent is also her responsibility. After serving as a main force against the Abyssal Sage King, she asks Yu Longyue to take her to the next battlefield rather than leave her behind to recover 245.

She also leads the Spirit Pagoda and Western Legion onto the main battlefield in Four-Word Battle Armor. Her Spiritual Power neutralizes the Abyss Spirit Dragons’ howls and restores affected human soldiers’ Spiritual Power 273.

Yu Longyue’s eventual God King strength forces her to reconsider the Soul Beasts’ planned invasion. Recognizing that war would endanger her people, she proposes a staged confrontation in which he will defeat her publicly and use his strength to secure the Soul Beasts’ acceptance of an alliance 300 303.

She leads the Soul Beasts into the confrontation and faces the True Dragon Legion. After another battle with Yu Longyue, she publicly acknowledges defeat and agrees that her side will follow his arrangements 307 309 310.

Ten Thousand Years Later

Gu Yuena remains beside Yu Longyue as his wife ten thousand years later, with her appearance essentially unchanged. They return together to Shrek Academy, and she wonders whether Na’er is still there 313 314.

Her later exchanges with Na’er show that their separate identities endure. When Na’er suggests switching places, Gu Yuena refuses to relinquish Yu Longyue; she later stands beside him as he becomes one of the universe’s greatest figures 316 333.

Gu Yue is proud, competitive, and unwilling to remain weaker than Yu Longyue. She openly compares their cultivation and is willing to challenge him directly, while her combat experience lets her identify and exploit the elemental foundation of his fighting style 12 90 105.

Her reserve contrasts with her protectiveness toward him. She rejects Silver Moon Douluo’s authority when the elder unfairly judges him, checks his injuries when he enters her room, and allows him to sleep through class because he looks exhausted. Her jealousy is more conspicuous: she refuses requests from other girls to photograph him and repeatedly teases him about attracting women 24 31 36 49 92.

Her central conflict is between personal happiness and responsibility for the Soul Beasts. She can contemplate killing Yu Longyue for his bloodline, yet cannot bring herself to attack him in his sleep. She likewise refuses to sacrifice Na’er’s individuality when reclaiming her power, despite insisting that racial survival outweighs romantic love 49 105 142.

She becomes more pragmatic about coexistence when Yu Longyue’s strength makes the original invasion plan untenable. Rather than pursue a ruinous war, she negotiates a public defeat intended to bring the Soul Beasts into an alliance 300 303.
