|---|---|---|
| God King | 3 | Already exists beyond Douluo Continent when the displaced Tang San arrives in the timeline. |
| Supreme God King | 314 | After ten thousand years, is described as one of the strongest experts within the God King Realm and returns with the other eleven Great God Realm rulers. |
Appearance
- Early displaced body: A nine-year-old boy; while gathering money for his first Soul Spirit, he becomes covered in dirt and wears beggar-like clothing 4 10.
- Reconstructed body: Has long, dark-blue hair and healthy, lustrous skin, with a composed and confident bearing 146.
- Asura transformation: His dark-blue hair turns white, his eyes shine blood-red, and an Asura Demon Sword manifests in his hand 135.
- Demon Empress possession: Retains the Demon Empress's female appearance. Her final soul-destruction technique prevents him from freely changing the body's form and leaves an involuntary charm effect 254 255.
Personality
Tang San remains intensely conscious of his former status. Poverty and dependence feel humiliating to someone who remembers being a God King, and he vows to repay that humiliation once he regains his strength. Nevertheless, he can suppress his resentment and behave respectfully when dealing with people whose assistance he needs 10 32.
His attachment to family is bound up with control and bloodline. He feels both pride and resentment after losing to Tang Wulin, but later threatens Tang Wulin's adoptive parents to force his son to cooperate. Even while insisting on their biological relationship, he fails to accept Tang Wulin's right to refuse him 87 146 147.
Repeated defeats by Yu Longyue profoundly alter the displaced incarnation. He develops a heart demon, avoids anything associated with his opponent, and flees even after obtaining temporary Quasi-God strength. His fear remains severe enough that he refuses to reveal his identity publicly while uncertain of his ability to protect himself 135 137 163.
The present-timeline God King is similarly calculating: he attempts to kill Huo Yuhao to eliminate a possible future threat. During his final confrontation, he admits manipulating his daughter's soul to bind Huo Yuhao to his side. His apparent final confession does not become an unconditional surrender; he uses the ensuing destruction to conceal an attempted soul escape 311 329 330.
Abilities & Skills
Blue Silver Grass and Blue Silver Emperor
- Blue Silver Entanglement: His first Soul Skill sends vines around a target to restrict movement. He retains the technique after recovering the Blue Silver Emperor 41 128.
- Anchoring and support: Uses vines to secure himself to surrounding trees against an enemy's storm attack 41.
- Blue Silver Avatar: His seventh Soul Skill increases Blue Silver Emperor skill effects by one hundred percent and allows individual plants to serve as hosts for him 131.
- Vitality: The Blue Silver Emperor's resilience helps sustain and restore his severely damaged body, particularly when combined with Sea God's Light 134 285.
Clear Sky Hammer
- His second Martial Soul is absent when he first occupies the child's body 4.
- It returns during the three years of cultivation assisted by Tang Hao 123.
Tang Sect Techniques
- Mysterious Heaven Skill: One of the cultivation methods he turns to after losing his former power 4.
- Hidden Weapons: Uses thrown weapons alongside Blue Silver Entanglement, including against a Man Faced Demon Spider and an Ice Fire Demon Tiger 40 41.
- Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track: Enables rapid, evasive movement through Yu Longyue's lightning domain 131.
- Theft: Uses Tang Sect skills to obtain money while impoverished, an application he regards as deeply humiliating 32.
Eight Spider Lances
- Begin recovering after he kills a hundred-year Man Faced Demon Spider inside the Spirit Ascension Platform 40.
- Provide additional piercing attacks and rapid movement 41 86.
- Their recovery indicates that his surviving divine consciousness retains characteristics of his former abilities 40.
Soul Cores and Divine Consciousness
- His last sliver of divine consciousness initially keeps him alive. He cannot expend it to contact his parents without risking complete disappearance 4.
- With Tang Hao's guidance, he becomes the third practitioner of Yin-Yang Complementary Dual Soul Cores after Yu Longyue and Huo Yuhao 123.
- At approximately level eighty-three, his restored abilities allow him to defeat Super Douluo around levels ninety-six or ninety-seven 123.
- Yu Longyue destroys both Soul Cores. His reconstructed body subsequently contains only one 137 146.
Sea God and Asura God Powers
- Sea God power: Provides healing, defensive techniques, ocean control, and a temporary level ninety-nine Demigod state 133 135 280 285.
- Asura God power: Provides killing-oriented divine power, the Asura Demon Sword, and a temporary level ninety-nine Quasi-God state 135.
- Limited reserves: His initial recovered traces are emergency trump cards rather than powers he can use indefinitely 123.
- Cultivation cost: Drawing on these powers during the failed ambush repeatedly reduces his base cultivation 134 135.
Domains
- Blue Silver Domain: Creates a vigorous forest whose plants envelop and help repair the fragments of his body 131.
- Divine Slaughter's Domain: An Asura God domain used to resist Yu Longyue's domain 131.
- All Rivers Run into the Sea: Compresses this domain to a one-meter radius, trading coverage for a stronger defensive barrier 134.
- Plane-forming Asura Domain: The present-timeline God King develops a blood-sea domain that forms a plane of its own. Yu Longyue ultimately destroys it with his more expansive domain 329.
Defensive and Recovery Techniques
- Nihility: His sixth Soul Skill grants immunity to non-energy physical attacks and reduces energy attacks by fifty percent in its detailed description 130.
- Invincible Golden Body: Provides brief immunity to damage, though its protection can be overcome by sufficiently powerful divine-level force 131 134.
- Sea God's Shield: Used alongside Invincible Golden Body, Nihility, and Teleportation to survive a combined assault 135.
- Sea God's Light: Heals injuries and sustains him near death 135 147 285.
- Core of Life connection: Ah Yin's power repeatedly repairs his body during the failed ambush; this is external support rather than solely his own regeneration 131 136.
Sea God Trident Techniques
- Thousand Accusing Fingers: Used against Yu Longyue during the failed ambush 134.
- White Clouds Drift Empty for a Thousand Years: A conceptual divine time technique; Gu Yuena interrupts its execution through spatial teleportation 134.
- Gone Forever: The third form of the Golden Thirteen Halberds, performed by hurling the Sea God Trident 135.
- Sea God Trial: Traps Yu Longyue in a trial that Tang San expects to hold him for one hundred years 285.
Possession
- Initially survives by occupying a child's body rather than returning to his own childhood body 4.
- Later transfers into the Demon Empress after Tang Hao interrupts her self-destruction 254.
- The Demon Empress destroys her soul to impose a rule-level restraint that prevents complete possession and fixes the body's female form 254 255.
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Sea God Trident — His principal divine weapon. Earlier manifestations are distinguished from the real Super Divine Artifact, which he eventually retrieves from Tang Wulin. The present-timeline God King retains ultimate ownership and can recall it from afar 135 252.
- Asura Demon Sword / Asura Sword — A blood-red divine sword associated with Asura God power; also wielded by the present-timeline Tang San in his final war 135 311 325.
- Three-Word Battle Armor — Part of the displaced incarnation's equipment after training with Tang Hao 123.
- Sea God Divine Armor — Worn during the failed ambush; cracks under the opposing side's attacks 135.
- Clear Sky Sect Soul Bones — A complete inherited set, all over ten thousand years old, with none reaching one hundred thousand years 123.
- Hidden Weapons — Used for ranged attacks and early Soul Beast hunting despite having been largely superseded by modern Soul Tools 4 40 41.
- Mushroom Soul Spirit — His ten-year first Soul Spirit, which he hopes to improve through the Spirit Ascension Platform 41.
History
Displacement and a Second Beginning
Tang San and Huo Yuhao arrive from the future after falling into Spatial-Temporal Turbulence. This creates two versions of each within the same timeline: a displaced version cultivating again on Douluo Continent and an existing God King beyond it. Huo Yuhao initially believes the two Tang Sans could never cooperate because the established God King would eliminate another version of himself 2 3.
Unlike Huo Yuhao, Tang San occupies someone else's nine-year-old body. He inherits weak innate talent, Blue Silver Grass, a penniless household, and a father unwilling to fund a Soul Spirit. His old knowledge also proves poorly suited to a society where Soul Beasts are scarce and Soul Tools have displaced traditional Hidden Weapons 4.
Poverty and Shrek Academy
After gathering thirty thousand Federation Coins, Tang San visits Eastsea City's Spirit Pagoda branch. His Spiritual Power tests at sixty-five, and he purchases a random Soul Spirit draw rather than a directly selected spirit 10.
By the time he attends Shrek Academy, he has advanced beyond rank thirty-five but still lacks money and even a phone. Yu Longyue explains his company's loan system and offers an approachable, helpful manner that reduces Tang San's initial hostility. Tang San later uses ten thousand contribution points obtained from him to enter the Intermediate Spirit Ascension Platform 32 40.
There, Yu Longyue and Huo Yuhao deliberately prevent him from receiving Spiritual Energy. They promise him the reward from a ten-thousand-year wolf, then Yu Longyue destroys his platform body with a single Thunder Dragon Claw, ejecting him from the platform 41.
Tang Hao's Return and the Failed Ambush
Tang Hao finds Tang San at Shrek Academy through a covert investigation using the Clear Sky Sect. He reveals that Huo Haodong is Huo Yuhao and that Yu Longyue is also a transmigrator. Tang San, then owing Yu Longyue one hundred thousand contribution points, gains both an explanation for his setbacks and a powerful ally 114 115.
Three years of paternal assistance restore his twin Martial Souls and bring him to approximately level eighty-three. Despite this recovery, seeing Yu Longyue again convinces him that he would lose a direct confrontation 123.
Tang San instead participates in an organized ambush involving Tang Hao and Clear Sky Sect experts. Yu Longyue defeats the attackers, repeatedly destroys Tang San's body, and forces him to exhaust divine reserves and burn cultivation. Ah Yin's healing and his parents' intervention keep him alive, but the defeat leaves him at level forty-nine with shattered Soul Cores and a severe heart demon 128 131 134 135 136 137.
Rupture with Tang Wulin
After receiving a reconstructed body and recovering to level ninety-one, Tang San attempts to recruit Tang Wulin against Yu Longyue. He threatens Tang Ziran and Lang Yue, only for Tang Wulin to reject both his authority and his claim that biological parenthood should determine loyalty 146.
When Tang San threatens to kill the adoptive parents, Tang Wulin mutilates himself, burns his cultivation, destroys his Clear Sky Hammer, and relinquishes his Blue Silver Emperor inheritance. Tang San attempts to heal him, but Tang Wulin rejects the healing. Yu Longyue intervenes before Tang San can reclaim the released inheritance 147 148.
Abyss Cooperation and the Demon Empress
Tang San later cooperates with Abyss forces and guards the Blood River God-Slaying Array. He fights an expressionless opponent resembling Yu Longyue for three days and nights, only to recognize the familiar presence he fears as the opponent's demeanor changes 245.
Seeking a new route to godhood, Tang San targets the Demon Empress's body. He confronts her with the real Sea God Trident, recovered from Tang Wulin. When she attempts self-destruction, Tang Hao intervenes, allowing Tang San to possess her. He gains divine power but becomes trapped in her female form by the restraint she creates through destroying her soul 252 254 255.
Revelations about his conduct and the Abyss's arrival shake the faith of Tang Sect and Federation figures who had regarded him as a hero. His opponents subsequently assess him as a level one hundred True God and suspect that Tang Hao has transferred the Plane Master position to him; that transfer is presented as a deduction rather than confirmed fact 260 262.
Sea God Confrontation and Death
After recovering Sea God authority, Tang San confronts Yu Longyue again. He loses the Sea God Trident, recovers it, and continues fighting with ocean-based divine attacks. Tang Hao and the Abyssal Sage King join the battle against Yu Longyue 277 279 280 281 282.
Tang San eventually exploits a close-range opening to trap Yu Longyue in a Sea God Trial, expecting a century-long confinement. He later fights the Abyssal Sage King, but Yu Longyue's return at God King strength overturns his plans 285 290 293.
Before dying, Tang San secretly sends information to the present-timeline God King. Yu Longyue deliberately feeds him false claims about his abilities, contaminating the report. Tang San's threat to destroy Douluo Star does not save him 294.
The Present-Timeline God King's War
The surviving God King receives his counterpart's message and recalls the Sea God Trident. Yu Longyue has already placed destructive lightning within it; the returning weapon explodes into fragments and injures Tang San inside the Great God Realm 296 297.
Tang San and the other God Kings prepare to confront Yu Longyue. Before the eventual return, he also attempts to eliminate his own Huo Yuhao as a future threat, provoking resistance through the Eye of Eternity 298 311.
Ten thousand years later, Tang San returns as a Supreme God King with the other eleven Great God Realm rulers. He accuses Yu Longyue of taking everything from him, but remains decisively outmatched in their confrontation 314 317 320 325.
In his final stand, Tang San admits manipulating Tang Wutong's soul and acknowledges his selfish conduct. After his Asura Domain collapses, he apparently burns himself in a last attack—but secretly tries to escape as a soul. Yu Longyue discovers the deception and destroys his soul by pulling it apart between five black holes 329 330.
