History

Rescue in Natlan

Before its appearance on Dragonspine, the little dragon was rescued by the Traveler in Natlan. Lin En remembers the Traveler crouching down and tying a red bandanna to its tail 19.

Summoning on Dragonspine

A dragon remnant uses an ancient cube to interfere with the Skyfrost Nail, declaring his intention to avenge his civilization against humanity. A dark red portal subsequently opens above the summit platform, and the remnant prostrates himself to welcome his lord back to life 18 19.

Instead, the little dragon tumbles out, staggers across the ice, and looks around in bewilderment. The remnant’s disbelief gives Lin En an opening to strike him with a Stone Stele, after which Ronava restrains him with black chains. The little dragon takes no part in the fight 19.

While Ronava absorbs power from the Skyfrost Nail, the dragon approaches Lin En and accepts his affection. Lin En decides to keep it temporarily, intending to entrust it to the Traveler when they next meet. It follows the pair down the mountain and dozes on his lap while he recounts the incident to Albedo 19.

Stay in Mondstadt

Albedo vouches for Lin En, Ronava, and the dragon when Mondstadt’s guards hesitate to admit them. At their inn, the dragon sleeps in Lin En’s room, eats the grilled meat he brings back, and curls up beside his pillow 20.

During the following week, it grows closer to Ronava. When Lin En is away, it visits her windowsill to bask in the sun and rubs its head against her hand. Ronava initially ignores it but eventually begins stroking its back 23.

Reunion with Lumine

After returning to Liyue Harbor, the dragon spots Lumine, races toward her, circles her twice, and jumps into her arms. Both Lumine and Paimon recognize it immediately 23.

Lin En explains the Dragonspine summoning and asks Lumine to take responsibility for it. She agrees to return it to Natlan after visiting Inazuma. Before the ship departs, she suggests leaving the dragon with Hu Tao; the passage does not confirm that the arrangement is carried out 23.

Personality

The little dragon is affectionate and comfortable around its companions. It nuzzles Lin En’s palm, seeks attention from Ronava, and enthusiastically greets Lumine upon their reunion. Despite the reverence attached to its title, it behaves like an easygoing young creature, sleeping on pillows and appearing confused by the conflict surrounding its arrival 19 20 23.
