• Chen Mu helped Chen Village destroy the Black Water Tribe, then traveled to Ghost Yin Mountain, where he obtained Soul-Hosting Wood and the Holy Soul Grass and advanced to an Eight-Rune Talisman Master.
• Chen Mu returned during E Bei’s attack on Chen Village, used Landuo’s control of the mechanical puppets to defeat the invaders, and killed Wu Tong.

He won first place and entered the pavilion as a new disciple, where An Ruhai began teaching him about the realms of the soul.

• Chen Mu invited Mingye to travel with him, then turned back with his companions to rescue the Weng Mountain Tribe from the Blood Wolf Gang and helped secure the survivors’ place as vassals of Chen Village.
• Chen Mu and his companions joined Hou Gu’s caravan to Wilderness Border City, where Chen Mu bought a damaged spatial dagger and a meditation cushion that tempered his soul with Karmic Fire and made him an Intermediate Earth Talisman Master.
• Chen Mu reached Heaven-Questioning Pavilion with Chen Duo, A Huo, and Mingye, and the four passed the preliminary admissions examination before entering its three-day nameplate contest.
