Shizuku’s outward composure conceals considerable enthusiasm, particularly for food. Honoka describes her as having difficulty resisting a meal, and Baifeng’s Dragon Country cooking impresses her enough that she immediately asks to live with him. She later jokingly calls him her and Honoka’s “owner” because he keeps feeding them 22 23 32.

Initially inexperienced in romance, she becomes flustered when Erika teases her about Baifeng and admits that she has never had a boyfriend. Nevertheless, she sets a clear pace when they begin dating, asking to start as boyfriend and girlfriend rather than rushing toward marriage 31 39 40.

Her competitive pride is strongest when her relationship feels threatened. Although she knows Miyuki is stronger, she insists on a serious match and is distressed by how helpless she feels in defeat. Her fear of losing Baifeng then prompts an unusually direct declaration that she intends to become the most important woman in his heart 53 54.

History

Meeting Baifeng

Shizuku and Honoka visit Baifeng’s home to thank him for protecting them, obtaining his address through a teacher. There they meet Maya Yotsuba, who introduces herself under the false identity of Baifeng’s older sister, “Maya Uesugi” 22.

After tasting his cooking, Shizuku asks to move in so she can eat it every day. Baifeng instead invites both girls to visit whenever they want a meal, establishing the food-centered friendship that precedes their romance 23.

Nine Schools Competition

Shizuku helps demonstrate Baifeng’s engineering ability by testing a competition CAD adjusted to her settings. Her report that it feels entirely comfortable supports his appointment to the magic engineering team 29.

During the journey to the competition, she shares one of his bentos with Miyuki to cheer her up. Its familiar taste becomes an important clue to Baifeng’s concealed identity; Miyuki subsequently confirms her suspicions after witnessing his magic 34 35.

At the competition hotel, Shizuku goes to fetch Baifeng for a planned hot-spring visit and finds him asleep. An accidental kiss leads them to agree to date. They initially intend to keep the relationship secret, but Baifeng reveals it to their friends before Shizuku feels ready 39 48.

Following the final, Shizuku admits that her distress is tied to Miyuki’s apparent feelings for Baifeng. Reassured that he wants to remain with her, she becomes more assertive about their relationship 54.

Baifeng’s injuries during Monolith Code badly frighten her. After First High wins, she rushes to embrace him, nearly crying with relief, unaware that his ribs still hurt 61 62.

At the closing dance, Baifeng reserves his first dance for Shizuku. Their coordination draws the room’s attention, after which she smoothly passes Honoka into his arms 74.

Living Together and Separation

After the competition, Shizuku and Honoka arrange to move into Baifeng’s home. Shizuku openly encourages him to accept Honoka’s feelings and explains that she already knows his relationships with Miyuki and Mayumi are unusual 75 76.

Their shared domestic life is interrupted when Maya summons Baifeng back to the Yotsuba residence because of the Demon Hunters. He gives the girls a less dangerous explanation, saying Maya needs help with a difficult problem. Shizuku and Honoka reluctantly accept his extended absence and watch his plane depart 78 79.

Conference Attack and Divine Realm

During the conference-hall terrorist attack, Shizuku arrives after the initial attackers have been subdued and immediately checks whether Miyuki has been injured 94.

After defeating the Demon Hunters and ascending, Baifeng offers Sub-God positions to those close to him. Shizuku accepts alongside Miyuki, Mayumi, and Honoka, joining him in the Divine Realm 100.
