In Hueco Mundo, Kisuke Urahara explained that he was waiting for Uryū Ishida’s possible counter to Yhwach’s Almighty, leaving the others to wait as well.

Sajin Komamura and Nemu Kurotsuchi fought Giselle and the zombified Captains while Shūhei Hisagi confronted Hollowfied Mashiro Kuna. Komamura used the Shadow-Invasion Drug to reclaim his Bankai from Giselle’s Quincy Medallion, forcing Giselle to flee and warn Liltotto.

• Sajin Komamura arrived and released Kokujō Tengen Myō'ō, striking the zombified Kensei Muguruma back into the building.
• Shūhei Hisagi recognized Kensei and charged into battle, where Hollowfied Mashiro Kuna attacked him.
• Giselle fought Sajin Komamura and Nemu Kurotsuchi, then attempted to steal Komamura’s Bankai with a Quincy Medallion.
• Sajin Komamura took the Shadow-Invasion Drug, causing Kokujō Tengen Myō'ō to burst back out of the medallion.

Shunsui Kyōraku, Soi Fon, and Nemu Kurotsuchi subdued Giselle, Liltotto, Mashiro Kuna, and Kensei Muguruma. The captives were taken for research into reversing the zombification, while Mayuri Kurotsuchi hurried to return to the Research and Development Institute and search for Pernida.

• Shunsui Kyōraku ambushed Giselle and sealed his Reiatsu with Bakudō, while Nemu Kurotsuchi injected him with a paralyzing drug.
• Soi Fon tackled Liltotto as she tried to flee, and Nemu Kurotsuchi injected her with a drug at Mayuri Kurotsuchi's urging.
• Shūhei Hisagi activated his Bankai to trap Mashiro Kuna with him, and Nemu Kurotsuchi paralyzed her.

Uryū Ishida confronted Askin, who attacked him with The Deathdealing after learning he had betrayed Yhwach. Ishida killed Askin with his Schrift, the Antithesis, and resolved not to back down from facing Yhwach.

• Uryū Ishida admitted to Askin that he had betrayed Yhwach and urged him to consider the Quincy’s future.
• Askin revealed that he had set up a Gift Bad using Reishi, weakening Ishida with The Deathdealing.

• Yhwach told a woman that fearing death gave life its value, then left to seize the world.
• A pillar of cyan Reishi flames rose from Kuchiki District, and Shiraishi recognized that Yhwach had begun his attack.
• An explosion destroyed the communications equipment at the Research and Development Institute, so Shiraishi ordered the captains not to stop Yhwach and sent Hakuhō to another dimension.
• Haschwalth used Alexander's network and the dark web to coordinate Quincy forces and cripple Shinigami communications.

• Haschwalth wounded Mayuri, who survived by restoring himself and treated Ichigo after warning her that his blood was poisonous.

• Kenpachi Zaraki called for Yachiru Kusajishi and asked her to let him use Bankai, and she agreed after warning him not to die.
• Kenpachi Zaraki transformed and unleashed a blood-colored slash that shattered Pernida’s defenses.
• Kenpachi Zaraki attacked Pernida repeatedly, but Pernida regenerated and pierced him with nerves, forcing Zaraki to cut off his shoulder.

Meanwhile, Ichigo Kurosaki fought Haschwalth, who discovered Mayuri Kurotsuchi’s poison and used the Misfortune Shield and The Balance to send its damage back to Mayuri.

• Pernida revived and swallowed Kenpachi Zaraki, but Zaraki poured so much Reiatsu into him that Pernida exploded from within.
• Kenpachi Zaraki contained the blast, then collapsed; Gin Ichimaru called the Fourth Division’s medical team to treat him.
• Haschwalth neutralized Ichigo Kurosaki’s Getsuga Tenshō and pressed his attack while Ichigo tried to stall for time.
• Ichigo told Haschwalth that he stood against Yhwach because of the Auswählen that had killed their mothers, and said Uryū Ishida was his close friend.

Lille transformed into his Vollständig and struck Shunsui, who fled to a prepared area to use Bankai, only to realize Lille had gone after the Captain-Commander instead.

• Lille Barro prepared to shoot the man speaking with His Majesty, but Shunsui Kyōraku ambushed him from the shadows.
• Lille shot Shunsui with The X-Axis, but Shunsui survived by using Katen Kyōkotsu’s Daruma-san Fell Down and explained its rules.
