Roy and the allied forces fought Imu and the Five Elders on Elbaf, while Roy was trapped inside the magic circle and awakened the Dark-Dark Fruit with Davy Jones’s help. After Imu’s defeat and Roy’s recovery, Shanks gave Roy the last Road Poneglyph rubbing, and Loki accepted Luffy’s invitation to join his crew.

• Luffy and Loki fought Imu while Roy directed the allied forces against the Five Elders, whose Black Turn marks were shattered and whose survivors were bound in seastone.
• Roy faced Imu in battle, then joined Kaido, Bullet, Hawk Eyes, and the other allies in exploiting Imu’s weakness and breaking down his transformed body.
• Imu absorbed the black mist of the fallen Elders and Holy Knights, restored his strength, and used a magic circle to create monsters and seize Roy.
• Luffy, Loki, Ace, and the others attacked the circle as Roy resisted its mental assault, destroying two of the nineteen eyes within his consciousness.
• Imu’s body crumbled into black smoke that entered the circle, while the array repelled the allies and Roy’s strength faded under the eyes’ attacks.
• Roy awakened the Dark-Dark Fruit, which drove back the fog, and met Davy Jones, who revealed that the nineteen traitors had stolen his power and made Imu their vessel.
• Davy Jones passed his remaining power and will to Roy, and the magic circle exploded, and Yamato caught Roy as the darkness lifted from Elbaf.
• After waking from three days of sleep, Roy joined the island’s celebration, received the last Road Poneglyph rubbing from Shanks, and saw Loki accept Luffy’s invitation to join the crew.

Roy and the Straw Hats uncovered Laugh Tale’s history, the World Government’s betrayal, and Joy Boy’s hidden treasures before returning to prepare for war. Luffy became Pirate King and tested his new strength against Roy, while Roy gathered allies and forces for the coming assault on Mary Geoise.

• Roy left Elbaf with Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates, and the crew navigated a deadly fog to reach Laugh Tale.
• Robin and the crew uncovered the Moon People’s history, the origins of the gods and Devil Fruits, and the betrayal that led to the World Government and the Void Century.
• Luffy awakened the seal on Joy Boy’s stele, retrieved the Davy Jones and Nika origins and the Array-Array Fruit, then absorbed the Nika origin power.
• Roy and Luffy agreed to join forces against the World Government, and Roy defeated Luffy in a fierce battle after they fought across a shattered island.
• Roy returned to Hachinosu, prepared his forces and supplies for war, and gave Vegapunk Davy Jones’s origin power to study under seal.
• Roy visited Shirahoshi and tested her Poseidon power in the Calm Belt, where she summoned and commanded supergiant Sea Kings to gather at the New World’s entrance.
• Kid and Law headed to Hachinosu with Roy after Roy challenged Kid to test his strength there.

Roy led the alliance from Hachinosu through the Marine defenses and into Mary Geoise, where he cleared the Black Turn monsters and uncovered the sleeping rulers of the World Government. After severing the kings’ shared bond, Roy faced Imu as the ruler transformed and began overwhelming the allied fighters.

• Roy assembled the pirate and Revolutionary forces at Hachinosu, then led their fleet toward Mary Geoise with a plan to capture Sabaody and attack the World Government.
• The alliance broke through the passage defenses and captured Sabaody, where Roy’s tsunami swept away most of the Marines and Ace, Dragon, and the Whitebeard Pirates defeated or drove off the Marine commanders.
• Roy led the assault up the Red Line, and the allies overcame Kong’s Army and the five black-robed fighters before raising their flags over Pangaea Castle.
• Shamrock’s ritual unleashed Black Turn monsters beneath the empty city, but Roy used his Darkness Domain to absorb their black mist and clear Pangaea Castle.
• Roy and fifteen allies entered the underground chamber, where they found Imu and eighteen ancient kings awakening from their coffins after eight hundred years.
• Roy severed the gray-robed elder’s connection to the kings, allowing the allied fighters to wound all eighteen, while Imu absorbed the kings and transformed into a colossal monster.
• Imu attacked with black flames, lightning, mental force, gravity, and warped space, injuring the allied fighters as Roy’s Telekinesis Domain protected those near him.
