Arc 7The Dragon Vein Alliance

Hoshino uncovered the truth behind Kaguya and the coming invasion, then united the Shinobi World to prepare for it. After Shion defeated Moryo and the Alliance began rebuilding, Hoshino left for a new world while Shion promised to wait for his return.

  • Hoshino investigated Hidan’s immortality, but a vision of Jashin triggered a catastrophe that trapped him in a cocoon of decaying bone.
  • Hoshino’s Qi, Priestess Power, All-Killing Ash Bones, and Mutant Insects rebuilt and balanced his body, after which he traveled to Roran and learned that otherworldly invaders could arrive within three to five years.
  • Hoshino revealed Black Zetsu’s role in Kaguya’s revival and showed the Kage the history of the God Tree, the Ten-Tails, and the Eye of the Moon Plan.
  • Hoshino persuaded the Kage to form a united alliance, brought back Madara and Hashirama through Impure World Reincarnation, and convened the leaders in Deliberation City to organize preparations for war.
  • Sasuke returned to Konoha and reunited with Naruto, while Shion released Moryo’s spirit and absorbed the power of nine generations of priestesses.
  • Madara, Hashirama, Hoshino, and Shion fought Moryo, and Shion used the Pure Moon Eye to accept and purify the resentment in its core.
  • Hoshino asked Shion to guard the Dragon Vein while he traveled to a new world, and Shion promised to wait for his return as he vanished into golden motes.
Chapters 152–176 Vol. 2 Read

Ch. 152Nothing to Show for It

Hoshino searched the ruined Uzumaki shrine in the Land of Whirlpools for clan relics but found nothing and left for the Land of Rain. Meanwhile, Pain agreed to arrange an identity for Sasuke as Obito announced that Sasuke and Madara would return to the Akatsuki.

  • Hoshino promised Shion he would return and free her from her fate as a priestess, then left the shrine with her protective charm.
  • Hoshino asked Pain to lend him Hidan and told the Scientific Research Department to analyze Karin’s body and the Uzumaki Clan’s Kekkei Genkai.
  • Hoshino flew to the Land of Whirlpools, searched the ruined Uzumaki shrine, and found only broken pottery and indistinct runes before heading toward the Land of Rain.
  • Pain told Konan that Hoshino’s goals did not currently conflict with theirs and that he was curious about Hoshino’s aims.
  • Obito told Pain that Sasuke was returning to the Akatsuki and that he would soon leave the Land of Rain to avoid interfering in Kirigakure’s coming civil war.
  • Pain agreed to arrange an identity for Sasuke, while considering the manpower the Land of Rain needed.

Ch. 153A Gift from Heaven?

Hoshino met Pain in Amegakure and explained that he wanted to study Hidan’s immortality to investigate the Jashin behind it and its possible connection to ancient powers. Pain agreed to give him Hidan, provided Hoshino shared everything he discovered.

  • Hoshino arrived at Amegakure’s tower and asked Pain where Hidan was.
  • Hoshino told Pain he wanted to research Hidan’s immortal body and the possible existence of Jashin.
  • Hoshino questioned whether Pain’s Rinnegan and his fate were gifts from heaven or part of someone’s manipulation.
  • Konan asked whether Hoshino wanted Hidan to verify that the immortality technique came from an ancient power.
  • Pain agreed to let Hoshino have Hidan on the condition that Hoshino revealed all his findings, then sent Konan to lead him to the secret room.

Ch. 154An Ordinary Hidan

Hoshino began examining Hidan in the Akatsuki’s underground laboratory while Sasori monitored the research. The first scan revealed that Hidan’s Chakra system was unusually weak and ordinary despite his immortal body, leaving Hoshino puzzled.

  • Konan led Hoshino through the corridor, where Sasori joined them to supervise the research on Hidan.
  • Hoshino asked what else Hidan was involved in, but Konan said it had nothing to do with his research and led them to the underground laboratory.
  • Hidan eagerly volunteered for the examination, and Hoshino used a Chakra scanner to map his internal Chakra flow.
  • Hoshino found that Hidan’s Chakra meridians were thin, weak, and otherwise ordinary, with no special energy traits to explain his immortality.
  • Sasori mocked Hidan’s poor aptitude, but Hidan proudly credited his immortal body to Lord Jashin’s grace.

Ch. 155Have You Heard His Voice?

Hoshino investigated Hidan’s supposed immortality and found that it appeared to be an external, rule-based ability rather than a property of his body or Chakra. After testing Hidan’s wound, he discovered that recovery required outside intervention and began observing how the severed tissue reattached.

  • Hoshino examined Hidan’s cells while Sasori provided a scroll describing the conditions and effects of Hidan’s Death Controlling Possessed Blood technique.
  • Hoshino questioned whether Jashin existed and whether Hidan had ever seen or heard him, while Sasori recalled Hidan mentioning Jashin’s whispers.
  • Hoshino cut Hidan’s arm and found that the wound did not heal on its own.
  • Sasori told Hoshino that Hidan’s body needed outside intervention to recover, prompting Hoshino to place severed tissue against the wound.
  • Hoshino observed fine black lines reconnecting the tissue and concluded that recovery speed depended on the size of the tissue.

Ch. 156Death Controlling Possessed Blood

Hoshino and Sasori tested the limits of Hidan’s regeneration, then observed the Death Controlling Possessed Blood ritual and found signs that an unknown force transferred Chakra and vitality between Hidan and his victim. Hoshino touched a mark on the victim’s corpse and received a blurry vision of worshippers gathered before an inverted triangle altar.

  • Hoshino cut off Hidan’s arm and found that the severed limb stayed alive but could only be restored within a limited range, with rough reattachment slowing the process.
  • Hoshino questioned Hidan about his ability, and Hidan could not remember who had taught him to reattach his limbs.
  • Sasori brought a wandering ninja to the laboratory, and Hidan performed the Death Controlling Possessed Blood ritual by drinking the man’s blood and drawing a circular formation.
  • Hidan stabbed himself with a spear, causing matching wounds to appear on the wandering ninja as Hoshino’s scanner detected Chakra disappearing from Hidan and reappearing in the victim.
  • Hidan killed the wandering ninja with a final stab to his own heart, and Hoshino found a smaller Jashin mark on the corpse that absorbed its remaining energy.
  • Hoshino touched the mark and received a blurry vision of figures kneeling before a massive inverted triangle altar and a shadowy presence.

Ch. 157Rampage

Hoshino’s experiment with Hidan’s Jashin ritual triggered a terrifying transformation, as gray-white bone spikes erupted from his body and erased everything they touched. Sasori and Pain retreated from the collapsing facility, leaving Hoshino sealed inside a vast bone cocoon amid the ruins.

  • As Hoshino prepared to record the ritual, a shadow in the image noticed him, and strange markings spread across his body as the Kikaichū inside him went berserk.
  • Gray-white bone spikes burst from Hoshino, absorbed the laboratory’s remaining Chakra, and disintegrated Sasori’s Iron Sand needles and the surrounding equipment.
  • Sasori fled with Hidan, whose supposedly immortal body lost an arm to the spikes, while the pursuing growth erased the passage and Sasori’s spare puppets.
  • Sasori used Shinra Tensei to shield their escape, but the bone spikes erased the repulsive force and consumed the underground tower.
  • Pain confronted Sasori and Hidan in the ruins, and Sasori began explaining that the disaster had started while they studied Hidan’s ritual.

Ch. 158Dead?

Pain, Sasori, and Konan assumed Hoshino had died in the decay caused by All-Killing Ash Bones, while Hoshino’s body and consciousness were caught between the bone technique, Jashin’s power, and his Mutant Insects. As Jashin neared control, Shion’s protective charm began radiating Priestess Power, giving Hoshino a possible chance to resist.

  • Pain identified the destruction as accelerated decay and concluded that Hoshino and Hidan could not survive it.
  • Pain ordered Konan to notify the Shinobi Alliance and Reform Society that an experimental accident had killed everyone.
  • Sasori left the ruins, thinking of Hoshino’s connection to Grandma Chiyo, while Pain reflected on the power behind the decay.
  • Inside the bone cocoon, Hoshino’s body and mind deteriorated as All-Killing Ash Bones, Jashin’s power, and the Mutant Insects fought for control.
  • As Jashin neared its final takeover, Shion’s protective charm glowed with Priestess Power, and Hoshino struggled toward it.

Ch. 159Grandma Chiyo

Shion sensed Hoshino’s faint presence inside a bone cocoon and struggled against the prophecy that warned her not to intervene. Kankuro, Temari, and Gaara reached Amegakure to investigate Hoshino’s rampage, where Grandma Chiyo appeared as they confronted the cocoon’s deadly power.

  • Shion sensed Hoshino inside a giant bone cocoon and feared something had happened to him, but the prophecy restrained her from going to help.
  • Kankuro received word that Hoshino was in danger, and he, Temari, and Gaara prepared to travel to the Land of Rain with cybernetic ninjas.
  • Kankuro, Temari, and Gaara arrived outside Amegakure and followed Konan to the plaza where the bone cocoon had caused widespread decay.
  • Konan explained that Hoshino had triggered a forbidden power himself, and Gaara’s Sand Shield crumbled when it touched the cocoon.
  • Grandma Chiyo approached the group through the rain, having come to the Land of Rain because of Hoshino.

Ch. 160Ineffective

Grandma Chiyo confronted Sasori over Hoshino’s fate, but the group set aside their conflict to find a way to free Hoshino from the bone cocoon. Shinnō and the Scientific Research Department arrived to investigate, but their instruments produced only chaotic, inconclusive results.

  • Grandma Chiyo accused Sasori of getting Hoshino killed, and Kankuro stopped Hiruko’s tail when Sasori fought back.
  • Konan urged everyone to focus on Hoshino, and Grandma Chiyo agreed to postpone settling her score with Sasori.
  • Kankuro’s puppet was ruined by the cocoon’s decaying power, while Temari’s Wind Release failed and seemed to trigger a possible rampage.
  • Shinnō arrived by airship with researchers from the Scientific Research Department, who began testing the bone cocoon.
  • The researchers’ instruments returned chaotic data, and their tests failed to reveal useful information about the bone spikes.

Ch. 161Three-Way Cooperation

Orochimaru summoned Tobirama Senju to help analyze the power encasing Hoshino after Shinnō’s instruments failed. Tobirama identified the cocoon as a mixture of Ash Bones, divinity, Natural Energy, and foreign Chakra, and the group began a joint investigation to find a way to save Hoshino.

  • Shinnō told Kankuro, Temari, and the others that their technology could not analyze the bone spikes, and Orochimaru offered to help.
  • Orochimaru revealed that an Otogakure emergency research authorization let him use Impure World Reincarnation, and the group agreed to proceed.
  • Orochimaru summoned Tobirama Senju, who recognized Ash Bones in ancient Ninshu accounts and detected several other powers mixed into Hoshino’s cocoon.
  • Tobirama chose to help investigate the cocoon despite worrying that Hoshino could become a threat to Konoha.
  • Orochimaru prepared a concoction, Shinnō’s researchers set up a Chakra analyzer, and Tobirama drew a formula as the three sides began working together.

Ch. 162The Forgotten Qi

Inside the bone cocoon, Hoshino’s soul remained trapped between Jashin’s corruption, the All-Killing Ash Bones, and Shion’s fading Priestess Power. His forgotten Qi from Divine Machine Hundred Refinements awakened, balanced the four forces, and began rebuilding him into a new body.

  • Hoshino realized Jashin’s power had seized his soul and was trying to assimilate it, while Shion’s charm and the All-Killing Ash Bones kept it at bay.
  • Hoshino’s cultivated Qi awakened and used its power of creation to restore the Priestess Power, sever Jashin’s tendrils, and temper the All-Killing Ash Bones.
  • The Qi guided the Mutant Insects and the other forces as they formed Hoshino a new skeleton, Chakra circuits, regenerative flesh, and a protective veil around his soul.
  • The four forces converged into a mark between Hoshino’s brows, where they restrained and balanced one another.

Ch. 163The Domain of "God"

Hoshino emerged from the bone cocoon transformed into an energy-based, seemingly divine being, but the Priestess Power and Jashin's power still bound his soul and prevented his eyes from forming. After sensing coordinates in the Land of Wind, he vanished, leaving those around him shaken by how distant he seemed.

  • Hoshino realized that the five powers within him remained separate and that the Priestess Power and Jashin's power prevented their true fusion.
  • Hoshino told Grandma Chiyo and Temari to return without him, then vanished after sensing coordinates in the Land of Wind.
  • Grandma Chiyo, Temari, Gaara, and Kankuro questioned whether Hoshino was still the same person, while Sasori watched them leave in his Hiruko puppet.
  • Orochimaru and Tobirama Senju examined the energy fragments Hoshino had left behind and marveled at their stable, living structure.
  • Tobirama Senju concluded that Hoshino's energy body might have reached the domain of god and hoped his preparations would help Konoha face such a being.

Ch. 164Eyes

Hoshino discovered that the Dragon Vein beneath the ruins of Roran had been damaged by disturbances between space-times and was calling for help. After the seal broke, the Dragon Vein urged him to travel to a new world and grow stronger before the unknown presence watching his world could arrive.

  • Hoshino reached the ruins of Roran and sensed powerful energy coming from the Dragon Vein beneath the central tower.
  • He found cracks in the seal and learned from the Dragon Vein that invaders from other space-times were waging war across the Five Great Shinobi Villages.
  • Hoshino glimpsed a pair of eyes watching his world through a space-time rift and cut off his connection to the Dragon Vein.
  • The weakened seal shattered, unleashing the Dragon Vein's power across the ruins.
  • The Dragon Vein urged Hoshino to travel to a new world, grow stronger, and return to save them, while Hoshino estimated the watcher might arrive in three to five years.

Ch. 165The Gathering at Rōran

Hoshino gathered the shinobi leaders at the Rōran Ruins and showed them real scenes of devastation across seven parallel space-times. After demonstrating his overwhelming power, he exposed Black Zetsu and revealed its connection to Kaguya, Hagoromo, and Hamura.

  • The leaders of the Shinobi Alliance Council and the Reform Society arrived at the Rōran Ruins to meet Hoshino.
  • Hoshino displayed scenes of ruined villages and powerful fighters from seven parallel space-times, but Raikage A, Killer B, and Yugito Nii doubted the vision.
  • Hoshino's energy subdued A and disrupted Killer B's Tailed Beast Cloak, while Orochimaru and Pain reacted with intense interest.
  • Pain asked Hoshino who the figures were, and Hoshino dragged Black Zetsu from beneath the ground to answer.
  • Hoshino identified Black Zetsu as a creation of the Ōtsutsuki Clan and a vessel for Kaguya's will, then named Kaguya as the mother of Hagoromo and Hamura.
  • Black Zetsu denied being Kaguya's third son, but Hoshino bound it with purple energy chains.

Ch. 166The True History of the Shinobi World

Hoshino used the Dragon Vein’s memories to show Pain, Obito, and the others the history of Kaguya, the Ten-Tails, and Black Zetsu’s schemes. The revelation left Pain bewildered and Obito questioning the destruction he had caused.

  • Hoshino told Pain that the Ten-Tails was Otsutsuki Kaguya and that Black Zetsu was not Madara Uchiha’s manifested will.
  • Hoshino invoked the Will of the Dragon Vein, which transported everyone into a vision of Kaguya planting the God Tree, consuming its fruit, and giving birth to Hagoromo Otsutsuki and Hamura Otsutsuki.
  • The vision showed Hagoromo Otsutsuki and Hamura Otsutsuki sealing Kaguya, the God Tree becoming the Ten-Tails, its Chakra splitting into the Nine Tailed Beasts, and Black Zetsu escaping underground.
  • Hoshino showed how Black Zetsu manipulated Indra, Asura, the Uchiha, the Senju, and Madara Uchiha to arrange Kaguya’s revival through the Eye of the Moon Plan.
  • Killer B said Gyūki confirmed the revelation, while Tsunade grieved that Hashirama and Madara had died without knowing the cause of their conflict.
  • Obito emerged from the Kamui Dimension, removed his mask, and cried out Rin, Kakashi, and sensei as he questioned what he had done.

Ch. 167The Choice (Revised)

Hoshino stopped Pain from killing Obito and urged the shinobi leaders to unite against an invasion expected within three to five years, offering the Power of Creation and the Reform Society’s technology as the basis for their defense. Most leaders agreed to form an alliance, but Obito rejected the cause and insisted the world was not worth saving, even if Rin, Minato Namikaze, and Kushina Uzumaki could be resurrected.

  • Pain attacked Obito with Banshō Ten'in, but Hoshino used bone spikes to interrupt the pull and save him.
  • Hoshino warned the Kage that an overwhelming force would invade in three to five years and proposed a united alliance rather than fighting among themselves.
  • Hoshino revealed the Power of Creation and offered to teach its use, while proposing that the Reform Society share its prosthetic technology to train fighters quickly.
  • Ōnoki and Raikage A agreed to join the alliance, with Raikage A demanding access to the Reform Society's Scientific Research Department; Tsunade and Orochimaru also agreed.
  • Hoshino said Black Zetsu would be sealed and Obito would serve in the vanguard, earning acceptance through battlefield achievements; Pain asked what would happen if Obito betrayed them.
  • Obito refused to help defend the world, declaring it was already hell and that even the resurrection of Rin, Minato Namikaze, and Kushina Uzumaki would not make it worth saving.

Ch. 168Obito

Hoshino pressured Obito into helping revive Madara Uchiha to defend the Shinobi World from an invasion, and Obito returned with Madara’s corpse. After Orochimaru resurrected Madara, Hashirama appeared and greeted him, while Hoshino showed them an illusion of the otherworldly invasion.

  • Hoshino told Obito that he intended to revive powerful figures, including Minato Namikaze, Kushina Uzumaki, and Madara Uchiha, to strengthen the Shinobi World.
  • The Kage questioned whether Madara could be trusted, and Hoshino proposed using Impure World Reincarnation first; Obito left after Hoshino used Rin’s possible revival to pressure him.
  • About half an hour later, Obito returned with Madara Uchiha’s corpse and gave it to Orochimaru.
  • Orochimaru performed the Impure World Reincarnation Jutsu, bringing Madara back in a weakened form.
  • Madara challenged Hoshino’s request for help, but Hashirama Senju arrived and eagerly greeted him.
  • Hoshino showed Madara and Hashirama a Dragon Vein illusion depicting the invasion from another world.

Ch. 169The End

At the Dragon Vein altar, Hoshino stopped Madara from killing Black Zetsu and secured Madara’s agreement to join the war. The group settled the Rinnegan’s return and planned to meet in Deliberation City to discuss unifying the Shinobi World.

  • Madara tried to attack Black Zetsu, but Hashirama restrained him while Hoshino insisted Black Zetsu had to remain alive for further analysis.
  • Madara agreed to spare Black Zetsu for now and reclaim his Rinnegan, while Pain asked that Yahiko be among the first resurrected.
  • Nagato removed his Rinnegan and handed it to Madara, who gave the eyes to Hashirama for safekeeping.
  • Tsunade treated Nagato’s wounds, and Konan supported him as Hoshino said Yahiko’s resurrection would wait until the Shinobi Alliance’s affairs were settled.
  • Madara left for the Valley of the End, and Hashirama followed him; the others agreed to meet in Deliberation City three days later to discuss unifying the Shinobi World.

Ch. 170The War Council

The Shinobi Alliance exposed Zetsu Ōtsutsuki and Obito Uchiha, then gathered the Shinobi World’s factions in Deliberation City to establish the War Council and prepare for invaders expected within three to five years. The new wartime measures stirred hope in small shinobi villages and threatened the nobles’ longstanding privileges.

  • The Shinobi Alliance announced that Zetsu Ōtsutsuki had manipulated Obito Uchiha and caused major tragedies, redirecting some public hatred toward them.
  • Three days later, representatives from across the Shinobi World gathered in Deliberation City and heard that otherworldly invaders could arrive within three to five years.
  • The Shinobi Alliance proposed resurrecting selected deceased fighters, building an intelligent puppet legion, sharing technology, training ninja together, and integrating intelligence networks.
  • The Shinobi Alliance established the War Council, a three-year preparation schedule, centralized resource systems, and special wartime powers.
  • Small shinobi villages began searching their records for past powerhouses, while nobles secretly moved their wealth overseas to escape the Alliance’s resource controls.

Ch. 171Naruto and Sasuke

Sasuke returned to Konoha and began restoring his family home, haunted by memories of his parents and Itachi. After Naruto confronted his grief over Obito, he ran to Sasuke’s house, where their reunion ended in familiar bickering.

  • Sasuke chose to return to Konoha, and Tsunade approved his residence permit despite Shizune’s concerns about his Akatsuki ties.
  • Sasuke cleaned the Uchiha home and found a family portrait that brought back memories of his parents and Itachi.
  • At Ichiraku Ramen, Naruto questioned why Obito had killed his parents and harmed Sasuke, while Kakashi urged him not to sink into hatred.
  • Naruto remembered Sasuke alone in the old house and rushed there to see him.
  • Sasuke and Naruto reunited, and their teasing and arguing filled the Uchiha home with noise again.

Ch. 172The Priestess

As the Shinobi Alliance built its communications network across the Land of Demons, Shion awakened the power sealed by generations of priestesses and released Moryo’s spirit. She and Hoshino set out for the Land of Swamps to end their thousand-year cycle.

  • The Shinobi Alliance expanded its network into the Land of Demons, and Shion wondered whether Hoshino had changed as the world prepared for new enemies.
  • Shion led Hoshino into the shrine and used her mother’s bell to open the sealed shaft beneath the altar.
  • Moryo’s serpent spirit escaped its chains and flew southwest to reunite with its true body in the Land of Swamps.
  • The bell shattered, and Shion absorbed the power and blood pacts of nine generations of priestesses, surpassing Kage Level.
  • Shion called Hoshino to join her in the Land of Swamps, and the two traveled there along a passage of light.

Ch. 173Land of Swamps (Revised)

Tobirama Senju and Obito released Moryo from its seal in the Land of Swamps, and Moryo emerged with a massive Immortal Army. Madara Uchiha attacked the monster while Hashirama Senju watched, but Moryo’s regenerating tentacles absorbed Madara’s Fire Style.

  • Tobirama Senju and Obito broke the temple seal and escaped as Moryo’s true body emerged.
  • Moryo’s appearance raised tens of thousands of skeletal soldiers across the wilderness.
  • Obito used Kamui to avoid Moryo’s tentacle attack, then left with Tobirama Senju.
  • Madara Uchiha charged at Moryo despite Hashirama Senju’s warning and summoned two meteors with Tengai Shinsei.
  • Moryo’s tentacles regenerated into black pythons, which absorbed Madara’s Majestic Destroyer Flame.

Ch. 174A Thousand-Year Cycle Ends Today

Madara Uchiha fought Moryo, discovering that sage techniques could damage it, while Shion joined the battle with her purifying power. As Hoshino began rebuilding his body to replicate the priestess constitution, Shion prepared to end Moryo’s thousand-year cycle.

  • Madara Uchiha’s ordinary fire attack failed against Moryo, and its blast damaged his Not Perfect Susanoo.
  • Madara Uchiha used Sage Art lightning and Light Fang to burn Moryo’s slime and cut its core, while fending off the Immortal Army skeletons.
  • Madara Uchiha strengthened Susanoo with natural energy, and Shion struck Moryo’s core with purifying light.
  • Hoshino took an energy form as Mutant Insects and Qi reconstructed his body to replicate Shion’s ability to resonate with natural energy.
  • Shion’s Priestess Power weakened Moryo, and she summoned nine spectral priestesses before engulfing its core in purple light and declaring the thousand-year cycle would end that day.

Ch. 175Matters Settled

Shion merged with Moryo and inherited the power of the nine priestesses, awakening the Pure Moon Eye and reaching a state beyond ordinary Sage Mode. As her transformation stabilized, Hoshino told Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha they could leave, while Madara challenged Shion to a future fight.

  • Shion embraced Moryo's consciousness as the nine priestesses' apparitions and ritual implements joined their power with hers.
  • Shion awakened the Pure Moon Eye and used its moonlight to accept and purify the resentment hidden in Moryo's core.
  • Hoshino completed the reconstruction of his energy circulation system and protected Shion with a barrier while her transformation continued.
  • Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha recognized Shion's natural-energy state as surpassing ordinary Sage Mode.
  • Hoshino told Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha they could leave, and Madara challenged Shion to fight after she mastered her power.

Ch. 176Half a Month

Half a month after the Shinobi Alliance began rebuilding the Shinobi World, Hoshino prepared to travel through the Dragon Vein to another world while Shion agreed to guard it. The chapter ended with Grandma Chiyo looking back on photographs of Sasori and Hoshino.

  • Hoshino and Shion advanced their powers as the Shinobi Alliance established schools, new career paths, intelligent puppets, and a preliminary Resurrection Plan.
  • Hoshino asked Shion to guard the Dragon Vein while he traveled to the new world, and he explained that the Alliance would seek a way to restrain Jashin.
  • Shion accepted Hoshino's decision and promised to wait for his return as he dissolved into golden motes of light.
  • Grandma Chiyo sat alone in Deliberation City and remembered her family and Hoshino while looking at two old photographs.
