Chapters 202–223 Vol. 3 Read

Ch. 202The End

Madara Uchiha overwhelmed Heavenly Martial XIII and the Sword Saint with his Perfect Susanoo, and their final charge destroyed the imperial city and ended the Heavenly Martial Empire. Hashirama Senju ordered the surviving puppets to aid the wounded and search the ruins as Madara disappeared, while the consequences of the war remained ahead.

  • Heavenly Martial XIII and the Sword Saint joined their powers and prepared to fight Madara Uchiha to the death.
  • Madara Uchiha summoned his Perfect Susanoo and raised its swords for a final blow.
  • A blood-soaked Martial Saint charged the Susanoo as Heavenly Martial XIII and the Sword Saint launched their last attack.
  • The Susanoo's strike annihilated the attackers and devastated the battlefield, leaving the imperial city in ruins.
  • Madara Uchiha vanished into the smoke, and the surviving soldiers surrendered as the Heavenly Martial banner burned to ash.
  • Hashirama Senju ordered the remaining puppets to treat the wounded, search for survivors, and clear the ruins.

Ch. 203Aftermath

After learning that the Martial Capital had fallen and the imperial bloodline was wiped out, Qingzhou City's leaders rejected surrender and prepared to fight the Shinobi Alliance. The first battle began as the puppet army approached, while Heavenly Martial XIII's final edict spread across the empire.

  • Qingzhou City's lord told the assembled generals and nobles that Heavenly Martial XIII had fallen and the Shinobi Alliance would reach the city within three days.
  • A family representative proposed negotiating, but the city lord exposed his family's secret agreement with the Shinobi Alliance and killed him.
  • The city lord ordered Qingzhou City to prepare for battle, burn its granaries, and poison its wells rather than let the enemy claim its supplies.
  • Qingzhou's defenders took their positions as the approaching puppet army came into view, and the city's steam cannons fired the first volley.
  • Heavenly Martial XIII's final will spread across the empire, stirring its remaining cities, fortresses, and subjects.

Ch. 204Scorched Earth

Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke served undercover with the Red Eyebrow Army as the Shinobi Alliance sought to bring it under its control. Sasuke led a mission to rescue villagers from imperial troops, then learned that the Shinobi Annihilation Alliance had carried out the attack, prompting the deputy leader to call for notifying the leader.

  • Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke discussed how the Shinobi Alliance intended to use and eventually absorb the Red Eyebrow Army, while Naruto worried about betraying its people.
  • The deputy leader sent Sasuke and the third squad to stop imperial troops from destroying Blackwater Village, and Sasuke accepted the mission.
  • Sasuke’s squad rescued the children and villagers, controlled the fires, and captured six attackers alive.
  • An interrogation revealed that the attackers belonged to the Shinobi Annihilation Alliance, and Sasuke delayed hearing more until they returned to camp.
  • After hearing the report, the deputy leader condemned the Shinobi Annihilation Alliance and said they had to notify the leader.

Ch. 205Red Eyebrow

Sasuke met the Red Eyebrow Army’s leader and admitted he served the Shinobi Alliance, arguing that the Alliance wanted to assess whether the resistance could help restore peace rather than be destroyed. He showed her evidence that Heavenly Martial XIII had caused the Martial Capital’s deaths and left her weighing whether cooperation could protect civilians.

  • Sasuke told Naruto that the Red Eyebrow Army would have to choose between destruction by other resistance forces and accountability to the Shinobi Alliance, and that he would make its leader see surrender as the only path to survival.
  • Sasuke traveled with the deputy leader to the Red Eyebrow Army’s headquarters, seeing how its warriors and villagers protected one another.
  • The leader confronted Sasuke with reports linking him to Shinobi Alliance spies, and Sasuke admitted that he came from the Alliance.
  • Sasuke claimed the Alliance had sent him to assess whether the Red Eyebrow Army should survive, then used Genjutsu to show the leader how Heavenly Martial XIII had orchestrated the Martial Capital’s destruction.
  • Sasuke showed the leader footage of Alliance teams treating civilians and cleaning poisoned wells, and offered to take her to survivors so she could verify his claims.
  • The leader lowered her blade and looked toward the village, silently considering whether the Shinobi Alliance’s offer could save more innocent lives.

Ch. 206The Situation

Hoshino reshaped Red Rock Canyon with a new spatial and temporal technique, clearing the way for Sunagakure's advance. At Iron Wall Fortress, the Alliance planned how to govern its occupied territory, and Hashirama arrived with news of a healing plant just as Madara appeared.

  • Hoshino judged the souls in his Ten Thousand Souls Banner too weak for battles at his level and subdued Heavenly Martial XIII's rebellious soul.
  • Hoshino led the attack on Red Rock Canyon and transformed its terrain, traps, and defenders, allowing Sunagakure's troops to pass without resistance.
  • Tobirama Senju, Tsunade, and Ōnoki reviewed resistance, occupation challenges, and a plan to divide the continent into seven administrative regions.
  • Tobirama ordered occupied areas to halt further advances and focus on stabilization while civilian administration units prepared to arrive.
  • Hashirama Senju returned from the eastern forest with a healing plant he had found, and Madara Uchiha stepped out of the shadows as Hashirama said he wanted to discuss something with him.

Ch. 207The Expeditionary Force

Hoshino returned from the Heavenly Martial Continent and discovered that the Dragon Vein’s disturbances revealed a Six Paths Level enemy commanding an expeditionary force of a million. He spent time with Shion in Sunagakure as the Shinobi World faced the coming threat, while Temari watched them from a distance and walked away.

  • Hashirama Senju and Tsunade planned to investigate a blue leaf with unusual Chakra that might support a new medical system, while Tobirama Senju organized postwar work and troop transfers.
  • Hoshino returned to the Shinobi World, leaving the southwestern mountains’ follow-up governance to Tobirama Senju and the others.
  • At Rōran’s Dragon Vein Control Center, Hoshino and Shion explored the Dragon Vein’s core and saw a masked Six Paths Level figure alongside an expeditionary force of a million; Shion’s Pupil of the Pure Moon bled as Hoshino pulled them back.
  • Hoshino told Shion that his eyes could be restored only after he took control of or erased Jashin, then agreed to walk with her through Sunagakure.
  • Temari watched Hoshino and Shion together at a dessert shop, declined Kankuro’s suggestion to greet them, and left with him.

Ch. 208Obito

Obito remained secluded in the Kamui Dimension despite Rin’s resurrection, until Hoshino helped him confront his past and the harm he had caused. After removing his mask, Obito chose to return to the Shinobi World and see Rin and the others.

  • Obito kept Black Zetsu restrained in the Kamui Dimension and refused to help him free Otsutsuki Kaguya.
  • Hoshino brought Obito to a meteorite in space and showed him Rin living in Konoha with Kakashi.
  • Hoshino showed Obito memories of both his crimes and his earlier kindness, prompting Obito to recognize that his past contained more than its consequences.
  • Obito admitted that he saw his own sins and faced his fear of meeting Rin and seeking forgiveness.
  • Obito removed his mask and chose to return to the Shinobi World to see Rin and the people waiting for him.

Ch. 209Otsutsuki Toneri

Hoshino confronted Otsutsuki Toneri in the moon palace and overcame his attacks by disrupting the Giant Tenseigan and using a higher-dimensional technique. He took control of the Giant Tenseigan by reshaping the fused Byakugan consciousnesses, while Toneri was left powerless.

  • Hoshino entered the moon palace and froze the stone puppets that Otsutsuki Toneri sent against him.
  • Toneri attacked Hoshino with the Giant Tenseigan, but Hoshino neutralized its beams and resisted its crushing pressure.
  • Hoshino disrupted the Giant Tenseigan and wounded Toneri after confounding his Truth-Seeking Orbs and bypassing his defenses.
  • Hoshino used a higher-dimensional technique to divert Toneri's Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion, leaving Toneri weakened.
  • Hoshino eroded Toneri's connection to the Giant Tenseigan and used Cognition Reconstruction to alter the fused Byakugan consciousnesses.
  • Hoshino activated Tenseigan: Submission, making the Giant Tenseigan's light obey him as Toneri knelt helplessly.

Ch. 210The Sage of Six Paths

Hoshino brought Otsutsuki Toneri to Hamura Otsutsuki’s hidden chamber, where Hamura confirmed the approaching dimensional invasion and contacted the Sage of Six Paths. After learning Hoshino’s arrival had accelerated the crisis, Hoshino accepted responsibility and returned to Sunagakure with a white-clad youth.

  • Hoshino took the Giant Tenseigan from Otsutsuki Toneri but promised to return it and help him awaken his own Tenseigan.
  • Hoshino led Otsutsuki Toneri into the pure chamber and awakened Hamura Otsutsuki’s remnant soul.
  • Hoshino showed Hamura Otsutsuki the approaching army from another spacetime, and Hamura confirmed the threat was real.
  • Hamura Otsutsuki contacted the Sage of Six Paths, who revealed that Hoshino’s arrival had accelerated the collapse of the spacetime barriers.
  • Hoshino vowed to take responsibility for the crisis, then returned to Sunagakure with a white-clad youth and greeted Temari.

Ch. 211One Year

Hoshino returned to Sunagakure with Otsutsuki Toneri and revealed that the Shinobi World faced an imminent invasion as its spacetime barriers collapsed. At the emergency meeting, he announced that a Six Paths Level advance force and a million-strong army would arrive in one year.

  • Temari and Kankuro saw Hoshino return to Sunagakure, where Shion greeted him and met Otsutsuki Toneri.
  • Hoshino joined a Reform Society meeting, where Rasa reported that intelligent puppet production had expanded to fifty thousand units.
  • Temari asked Hoshino about his unrecovered eyes, and he warned her that the spacetime barriers were collapsing and the Shinobi World had little time left.
  • Tobirama Senju, Tsunade, Raikage A, and Ōnoki arrived in Sunagakure, confronted Hoshino for withholding information, and summoned the alliance leaders to an emergency meeting.
  • At Shinobi Alliance headquarters, Tobirama Senju announced that the Shinobi World had less than two years, and Hoshino revealed that an advance force led by a Six Paths Level powerhouse would arrive with a million troops in one year.
  • Hoshino showed the assembled leaders Dragon Vein footage of a masked fighter with nine Truth-Seeking Orbs, an Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, and a Rinnegan, backed by a vast shinobi army.

Ch. 212Grandma Chiyo

Hoshino and the Shinobi Alliance leaders planned to invade Shinobi World No. 2 and establish a strategic outpost before a masked enemy army arrived. After the meeting, Hoshino shared dinner with Grandma Chiyo and agreed to go to the market with her the next day.

  • Hoshino proposed striking first by establishing bridgeheads in other spacetimes, and the leaders chose Shinobi World No. 2 as their target.
  • Tobirama Senju outlined a three-phase operation, and Hatake Sakumo was assigned to lead an elite reconnaissance squad of ten into the parallel world.
  • The leaders agreed to integrate the Heavenly Martial Continent's resources into the Shinobi Alliance over the next three months.
  • Hoshino returned home, ate Grandma Chiyo's cooking, and asked what she would do if he stopped being himself; she insisted he would always be her grandson.
  • Hoshino told Grandma Chiyo he would go to the market with her the next day, and she planned to buy sewing needles and make him new clothes.

Ch. 213Shinobi World No. 2

Hatake Sakumo and the reconnaissance squad crossed into Shinobi World No. 2, where they found Rōran and Sunagakure transformed into a bizarre celebration of peace. After disguising themselves to gather intelligence, they were detected and forced to flee as the village’s inhabitants attacked with distorted, nonlethal techniques.

  • Hoshino and Shion opened a passage to Shinobi World No. 2, and Hatake Sakumo led Mu, Gengetsu Hozuki, First Raikage A, and others through it before it collapsed.
  • The squad discovered Rōran transformed into a cheerful amusement park, where a childlike Gaara and a briefly lucid Kankuro greeted them.
  • The reconnaissance squad left Rōran and reached Sunagakure, finding its defenses and streets converted into peace-themed attractions.
  • While gathering intelligence in disguise, Sakumo saw Naruto handing out candy, Kakashi performing for a crowd, and a young Kakashi calling him Daddy.
  • Sunagakure detected the squad as unpeaceful intruders, and Sakumo ordered a retreat while the village attacked with bizarre, cartoon-like Ninjutsu.

Ch. 214Konoha of Shinobi World No. 2

Hatake Sakumo and the other Kage investigated a world where people appeared unnaturally perfect, then Sakumo entered Konoha and found his friends and family living in eerie harmony. The chapter ended with Naruto claiming the Tailed Beasts had lived peacefully alongside humans since the First Hokage mediated between them.

  • Hatake Sakumo, First Raikage A, Second Mizukage Gengetsu Hozuki, and Mu left Sunagakure after witnessing its residents behave like cheerful puppets.
  • The group found the same forced happiness in a border town, then saw people across the Land of Fire behaving with increasingly convincing, unnerving perfection.
  • Mu's chakra detector went blank near Konoha, so Sakumo told the others to split up and meet outside the village at midnight without trusting anyone.
  • Sakumo entered Konoha, met Uchiha Mikoto, and watched Naruto and Sasuke spar in unusually harmonious coordination under Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki's supervision.
  • Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki invited Sakumo to dinner, where he asked who Shukaku was and Naruto explained that the One-Tail lived peacefully in a Sunagakure temple.

Ch. 215Miracle

Hatake Sakumo investigated the peaceful parallel Konoha and learned that a decades-old miracle was tied to its peace, while Hiruzen Sarutobi warned him of unfamiliar beings in the village. He reunited with the other investigators and shared what he had discovered as their search widened to include the Uchiha and the Valley of the End.

  • At Minato Namikaze and Kushina’s dinner, Hatake Sakumo discovered that Rin Nohara was alive and engaged to Kakashi, but no one recognized the name Obito Uchiha, and Minato had never become Hokage.
  • Hatake Sakumo accepted Uchiha Fugaku’s invitation to review the security plan for the joint Chunin Ninja Exams and saw the peaceful Uchiha compound, where he met Fugaku’s young son Yōta.
  • Hatake Sakumo found the Memorial Stone replaced by a park and a statue crediting Hashirama Senju with establishing lasting peace among the Five Great Nations.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi told Hatake Sakumo to secretly investigate the golden light that had appeared decades earlier at the Valley of the End, warned him not to alert Orochimaru, and mentioned unfamiliar chakra signatures that might belong to beings from another world.
  • At the hidden cave by the Naka River, Hatake Sakumo met First Raikage A and Second Mizukage Gengetsu Hozuki, who reported that Shisui Uchiha was alive and that most Uchiha Sharingan had degenerated; Sakumo recounted Hiruzen’s warnings.

Ch. 216Orochimaru

Orochimaru revealed to Hatake Sakumo that he recognized him and his companions as people from another world, and explained how a mysterious figure had altered the Shinobi World's perceptions. Sakumo followed Orochimaru toward his hidden laboratory in the Forest of Death while A and Gengetsu stayed behind to continue their plan.

  • Orochimaru emerged from the cave shadows and told Hatake Sakumo, A, and Gengetsu that he knew they came from another world.
  • Orochimaru explained that a figure had altered everyone's perceptions, but Living Corpse Reincarnation had let him remain clearheaded within the Land of Fire.
  • Orochimaru gave Sakumo the location of his underground laboratory beneath a dried-up well south of Training Ground Three in the Forest of Death.
  • Sakumo decided to investigate the laboratory alone and told A and Gengetsu to continue gathering information.
  • Sakumo followed Orochimaru into the cave's darkness as A and Gengetsu remained behind, ready to support him.

Ch. 217Strange

Hatake Sakumo investigated Orochimaru’s hidden laboratory and learned about the golden light that ended the war and altered people’s memories. Orochimaru revealed that the Akatsuki had remained in the Valley of the End for three years, and Hatake Sakumo decided he would have to confront whatever was there.

  • Hatake Sakumo followed Orochimaru through an excavated passage into a concealed laboratory and noticed signs of recent activity.
  • Orochimaru showed Hatake Sakumo a map and a recording of golden light descending over the Valley of the End during the war.
  • Orochimaru explained that the Akatsuki had stayed in the Valley of the End for three years and that his Shadow Clones lost contact near its entrance.
  • Hatake Sakumo suspected the valley had become a distorted domain that imprisoned the Akatsuki and served as the dwelling of a powerful being.
  • Orochimaru said the being’s influence had limits and described its peace-bringing power as a technique with boundaries.

Ch. 218The Nationwide War Preparation Plan

Hoshino led the Shinobi Alliance council in approving a plan to let supervised civilian teams enter the other world and gather resources for the cross-plane war. After Hoshino rejected Kabuto Yakushi’s proposal to create Dragon Vein Warriors, Kabuto and Orochimaru continued their secret research in an underground laboratory.

  • Hoshino presented the Nationwide War Preparation Plan, including limits and oversight for civilian teams entering the other world.
  • Kabuto Yakushi demonstrated a Chakra analyzer and described tracking formulas in Dragon Vein passes to monitor and recall teams.
  • The Five Great Shinobi Villages and other representatives unanimously approved the plan, including how the collected resources would be distributed.
  • Kabuto Yakushi proposed combining Dragon Vein energy with prosthetic technology to create Dragon Vein Warriors, but Hoshino postponed the idea as too risky.
  • Temari questioned Hoshino about leaving Kabuto in charge, and Hoshino said he trusted Orochimaru not to disrupt the alliance.
  • Kabuto reported the rejection to Orochimaru, who revealed a modified body in an incubation chamber and declared that science did not need to follow rules.

Ch. 219Valley of the End

Hatake Sakumo entered the Valley of the End and was lured by a woman who resembled his dead wife, Yukiko, into reaching for a crystal ball promising reunion. Madara Uchiha broke the illusion with a burst of Amaterasu and unleashed a shinjutsu as his body crumbled.

  • Hatake Sakumo followed strange chakra into the Valley of the End, where he found a lush forest and a veiled silver-haired woman.
  • The woman revealed a face like Yukiko's, then used Sakumo's memories and grief to make him believe he could reunite with his dead wife.
  • Hatake Sakumo followed the woman to a lake, where Akatsuki members in white robes stood around a crystal ball showing Yukiko in their old home.
  • Hatake Sakumo embraced the crystal ball, but saw Madara Uchiha chained beneath the lake and recognized him as the illusion began changing his body.
  • Madara Uchiha spent his stored chakra to unleash Amaterasu, cracking the crystal ball and destroying the woman's illusion.
  • Madara Uchiha completed a hand seal and invoked Shinjutsu: Ōmikami: Release as his body rapidly crumbled.

Ch. 220The Truth

Hatake Sakumo confronted the false Yukiko, revealed as an Ōtsutsuki, and tried to free Madara from the God Tree’s chains. Madara showed Sakumo how Obito used Shinjutsu: Ōmikami to impose false peace on the world, leaving Sakumo to confront the truth as Madara rejected the illusion.

  • Madara activated Shinjutsu: Ōmikami, changing the sky and causing the Yukiko-like figure to reveal her Ōtsutsuki form as Hatake Sakumo’s attacks failed to cut the chains.
  • Madara explained that the chains were God Tree roots, then touched Sakumo’s forehead and sent him memories of the war’s end.
  • Madara watched Obito become the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki and reveal that Black Zetsu had altered the stone tablet and was Kaguya’s will.
  • Obito transformed under a golden beam, used Shinjutsu: Ōmikami to freeze the battlefield, and bound Madara as the world’s inhabitants fell under his power.
  • Madara resisted the imposed peace by holding onto memories of Hashirama, waited for an opening, and eventually found Sakumo and his companions unaffected.
  • Madara told Sakumo that Ōmikami had altered humanity’s perceptions and replaced memories of war with false peace, which he refused to accept.

Ch. 221Surrounded and Attacked

Hatake Sakumo used the Shinobi Alliance’s Flowing Silver armor to escape a supernatural trap and fight his way through the Akatsuki and pursuing shinobi at the Valley of the End. After injuring several enemies, he remained blocked from the southeast escape route by Kisame.

  • Madara Uchiha turned to ash, but golden chains bound Hatake Sakumo and Yukiko’s mirror form tried to draw him in.
  • Hatake Sakumo activated the Flowing Silver armor, broke free, and fought the Yukiko-like monster as it summoned a chain giant.
  • Akatsuki members and shinobi from the villages surrounded the Valley of the End, and Hatake Sakumo’s tactical system advised him to break through to the southeast.
  • Hatake Sakumo attacked Hidan, Kakuzu, and Sasori, using lightning and explosive kunai to damage them despite their unusual defenses.
  • Hatake Sakumo broke free of Deidara’s clay attacks and Itachi’s Tsukuyomi, then accelerated through the battle, breaking Deidara’s neck and destroying two of Kakuzu’s hearts.
  • Kisame blocked Hatake Sakumo’s southeast escape route with Samehada.

Ch. 222Free-for-all

Hatake Sakumo fought his way toward the southeastern exit while Nagato trapped him with Chibaku Tensei. Outside the Valley of the End, A, Gengetsu, and Mu battled smiling, apparently controlled ninja and powerful opponents, and had just gained brief openings against Minato and Naruto.

  • Hatake Sakumo used Hidden Mist Technique to evade Pain and destroy the Naraka Path, but Nagato stopped his escape attempt with Chibaku Tensei.
  • A, Gengetsu, and Mu encountered waves of smiling ninja from several villages and activated their battle armor to fight them.
  • A, Gengetsu, and Mu used their respective techniques to destroy enemies, but the foes' bodies unnaturally reassembled and continued attacking.
  • Minato ambushed A with Flying Thunder God attacks and Rasengan, damaging his armor, until A slowed Minato with a lightning net and struck him into the trees.
  • Naruto's Complete Tailed Beast Transformation pressured Gengetsu, while Sasuke's Susanoo forced Mu into a clash of Dust Release beams and a Susanoo arrow.
  • Gengetsu let Naruto's claws pierce his shoulder so his liquid-metal armor could coil around Naruto and trap him with a modified Water Prison Technique.

Ch. 223Chaos

Gengetsu restrained Naruto’s rampaging Nine-Tails form while Mu, Ōnoki, and A battled Sasuke and the resurrected ninja. As the blood-moon Rinnegan restored the dead and golden chains overwhelmed the battlefield, A rescued Hatake Sakumo and the fighters began retreating.

  • Gengetsu’s liquid armor crystallized into ice chains around Naruto as Mu’s Dust Release destroyed Sasuke’s Susanoo.
  • Ōnoki attacked his former teacher Mu, but A struck Ōnoki before he could finish a technique, and Minato ambushed A with a Rasengan.
  • A Rinnegan pattern appeared on the moon, and golden chains reassembled the slain ninja while Yukiko’s likeness summoned a vortex and attacked.
  • Hatake Sakumo escaped the lake, cut through the pursuing attacks, and reached A, who caught him as Ōnoki’s Dust Release leveled a cliff.
  • Gengetsu called for a retreat as Mu and Gengetsu briefly froze the golden chains, but the chains broke free and continued advancing.
