Several days passed quickly. With the Myriad Worlds Pearl constantly nourishing his soul, Luo Ao soon recovered from the damage caused by splitting his soul in two.
Seeing Luo Ao walk toward him, Darren could not help feeling a surge of excitement.
"Mr. Luo Ao!" The lean man, ordinarily so refined in appearance, could not help growing nervous. "How are your preparations coming along? Shall we leave now?"
Luo Ao smiled at the sight. "Looks like you can't wait either. Then sooner is better than later. Let's fulfill your long-cherished wish."
"Rest assured, Mr. Luo Ao. Korno is only good at preserving his life. In a head-on fight, he's not even my match. Now it'll be the equivalent of three of us surrounding and killing him. Let's see where he can run this time!" A resolute gleam shone in Darren's eyes.
Killing Korno alone was indeed difficult for him, but Mr. Luo Ao had now become a deity in two elements. That meant their side effectively had three Deity Level experts. Escaping would not be so easy for Korno this time!
Luo Ao did not explain his unusual circumstances. He had agreed to act partly to hunt for a Divine Spark and partly to experience how Deity Level experts fought.
Since becoming a deity, he truly had not fought anyone yet.
Along the way, Darren spoke with excitement all over his face. "Mr. Luo Ao, let me tell you about Korno's moves. He has a move that can create a full sixteen clones. When the time comes, we'll surround him from three directions..."
"So it's that move. It really is good for staying alive." Luo Ao nodded, though in truth, he did not take it too seriously.
Crossing towering mountains and mighty rivers along the way, the two flew toward Korno's residence, the Xiuyisi Mountain Range.
The Dark Church's secular forces were mostly overseen by Saint-level experts. Deity Level experts like Korno generally stayed far from the secular world to cultivate in peace.
The Boya Continent was so vast, yet Darren knew his opponent's location precisely. It seemed he really did hate the man to the bone, keeping a close watch on him as he sought an opportunity for revenge.
"Mr. Luo Ao, we've reached the Xiuyisisi Mountain Range," Darren said with a smile on his face.
Luo Ao looked down and saw an astonishingly tall mountain before him, its summit covered in gleaming white snow.
"This was a fine place for secluded cultivation, yet Korno occupied it. What a wanton waste." Darren clearly found nothing about Korno pleasing. As he spoke, he drew a slender azure longsword, roared in fury, and slashed toward the hollow encircled by the mountains!
Rumble!
The slash was terrifying. Even the air seemed to split in two, and the frighteningly sharp sword qi ultimately cleaved straight into the mountainside.
Crack! Crack!...
The snow covering the mountain instantly collapsed over a vast area, triggering a horrifying avalanche of tremendous force.
A tremendous ripping sound rang out...
Cracks actually spread across the surface of the once-majestic mountain, as though it were about to break apart completely.
A single slash held enough power to split mountains and sever seas. Such was the might of a Deity Level expert!
"Who's there!"
The slash immediately alerted Korno, who lived in seclusion deep within the mountain range. A streak of black light flew out from its depths. This sinister old man dressed in black robes was Korno, the target of their journey.
Korno looked grimly at the two men hovering before him.
"Darren? You again! And... who are you? A newly risen Deity Level expert on the continent?"
Although Korno lived in the Xiuyisi Mountain Range, he had sensed the descent of the Natural Laws twice over the past dozen or so years. This unfamiliar young fellow was probably one of those two.
Darren stared fiercely at Korno and smiled. "Korno, ever since I became a deity, not a moment has passed when I haven't thought of killing you! Last time, you escaped by a lucky fluke, and I failed to finish you off. Let's see where you can run this time!"
It was time to settle their old score today!
"Just the two of you?" The black-robed old man gave a sinister sneer, not the least bit concerned for his safety.
In his view, Darren's Wind Law did indeed possess powerful offensive might, but his Shadow Clone Technique was more than enough to keep him alive.
As for Luo Ao? A little fellow who had only broken through a few years ago-even if he had become a deity, how could he compare with someone who had cultivated for well over a hundred thousand years?
Besides, with his ultimate lifesaving move, he was confident he could escape even if both men besieged him together. Whether to fight or flee was entirely his decision.
"What, are you saying you look down on me?" Luo Ao regarded Korno with a cold sneer, not knowing where the fellow got his confidence.
Korno snorted, turning his sinister eyes toward Luo Ao. "Are you sure you want to wade into these muddy waters? The two of you think you can kill me? Try again in your next life!"
"Korno, enough nonsense. I have never forgotten the vengeance I owe you for causing Helen's death." Darren pointed his longsword at the black-robed old man and said coldly, "Now it's time for you to pay the price."
"What are you talking about? I never caused her death. She has now returned to the embrace of the Lord of Darkness and become a supremely glorious Fallen Angel!" Korno laughed wickedly, deliberately provoking Darren.
Darren looked at Korno, his heart filled with anger and hatred.
What bullshit Fallen Angel! How was that any different from becoming someone else's slave!
"Korno! You're courting death!" Unable to endure it any longer, Darren lunged forward, opening with a killing slash aimed straight at the throat.
Korno calmly used a Shadow Clone to evade the attack. A black dagger then appeared in his hand, and he looked at the two men. "Want to take me on? Then go ahead and try. With juniors like you, I wouldn't care even if a few more showed up!"
"Oh? So you're that impressive. I hope you won't regret it in a moment!" Luo Ao could not help sneering as he addressed Korno coldly.
Korno truly was a disgusting fellow. Never mind Darren, whose hatred for him ran as deep as the sea-even Luo Ao was finding him somewhat unbearable.
"Regret? In my entire life, I, Korno, have never known how to write that word!" Korno remained where he was, still wearing an arrogant, overbearing expression. Relying on his Shadow Clone Technique to keep him safe, he naturally spared no effort in mocking the two men as much as he could.
"Is that so? I originally intended to take my time fighting you and use you to get accustomed to the combat methods of Deity Level experts. But that mouth of yours has made me change my mind." As he spoke, Luo Ao instantly unleashed his means.
"Hm? This is!" Korno's smug expression changed in an instant.
Boom!
In an instant, all the space within nearly a thousand meters of the three men was bound. More precisely... Luo Ao had used his two Lowgod Divine Sparks to take complete control of the water and fire elements within nearly a thousand meters, pressing them down upon the loathsome Korno to restrain him.
This move was none other than God's Domain! Luo Ao had previously had the fortune to experience it firsthand from Betty, the planar overseer.
The higher the rank of the Divine Spark, the stronger this control became.
Although Luo Ao was only a Lowgod, he possessed two Divine Clones that shared the same root and origin. His two overlapping God's Domains might not fully match a God's God's Domain, but they came very close.
Faced with a God's Domain nearly equivalent to that of a God, Korno instantly went pale.
Even though he struggled to deploy his own God's Domain and could still barely control the surrounding darkness elements, he felt as though he had sunk into a mire.
This is bad. Korno realized that his speed would be greatly reduced under these conditions. His reliance for staying alive had always been his Shadow Clones. With their speed greatly reduced, flaws in his clones would be easy to spot!
Before this battle had even begun, its outcome was already decided.
"My lord! Spare me! I belong to the Dark Church! You can't kill me!" At last, the sharp-tongued Korno was afraid. He knew that escape was absolutely impossible under these circumstances and immediately pleaded for mercy in a shrill voice.
"Only begging for mercy now? Too late!"
Hearing Luo Ao's cold, resounding words, Korno shuddered!
Was he... going to die?!
