Xin Jiu advances through attributes, skill cards, equipment, and achievement rewards rather than a documented personal level.

Background

Xin Jiu’s mother died of illness when Xin Jiu started middle school. Her father subsequently brought home his mistress and Xin Yue, his illegitimate son, who was only three months younger than Xin Jiu. She reclaimed her mother’s property and her own entitled share, moved out with the nanny, and never returned to the Xin family home 2.

Before the game descended into reality, Xin Jiu was her platform’s number-one gaming streamer. She published gameplay guides and persisted with Codename: Divine Descent for two years, regularly playing four hours a day despite its punishing difficulty. She became the first player across all servers to clear it, only for the system to announce a major update ten minutes later 1.

Her original tower climb reached the twenty-fifth floor during the first year; the final five floors occupied roughly another year. A heavy sword accompanied her through the later stages to the tower’s summit 15 17.

Personality

Xin Jiu is persistent, suspicious, and highly practical. She spends two years clearing a game that millions abandon, investigates an apparently worthless shop item closely enough to discover Monkey’s Eye, and disguises herself as a helpless card beggar to discourage museum players from targeting her 1 5 16.

She takes calculated risks when the reward justifies them. Against Niuniu, she deliberately accepts increasingly dangerous grazes to test how injury affects agility gains. Conversely, she avoids large goblin groups when her attributes are insufficient and stops hunting when fatigue makes continuing inefficient 12 22 23.

Her generosity has firm limits. She lets fellow Nine Provinces players collect goblin-kill scraps, shares food with an elderly player, teaches others to gain agility, and gives Tangtang more points than she needs for an item. She refuses to accept responsibility for strangers’ choices or tolerate attempts to steal from or kill her 8 23 26 32 44.

Although reluctant to form parties, she is not indifferent to others. She dislikes becoming attached to companions because she cannot bear watching them die. She also sacrifices a clown doll’s life-saving charge rather than run over a fawn and intervenes when Qingming threatens to eat the Mushroom Person helping her 19 26 38.

Game Descent and Resource Hunt

After the game enters reality, Xin Jiu uses her prior knowledge to bypass ordinary Shatang fruit and claim the superior fruit pit inside the tree. At S City Museum, she obtains Xingtian’s Clone and Tata’s Favorite Map, then expends the clone to escape players trying to rob her before entering the tower 2 3 5.

Goblin Tutorial

Xin Jiu kills 265 goblins in the first round, recognizes the shrinking safe zone’s danger, and leaves its protection to hunt higher-value enemies. With Li Ran and Xiaoqing acting as support, she continues collecting hearts and ultimately kills the hidden Goblin King, ending the instance early and earning District 46 a server-wide reward 8 9 13 14.

After the clear, she explains that players had to obtain goblin hearts themselves: those who stayed inside the safe zone without doing so turn to ash. The rankings establish her as the global individual leader 14 15.

Forest Labyrinth

Her search for the Tibetan fox leads her through Niuniu’s agility-training encounters, Li Tao’s assassination attempts, and the rescue of Bubu’s egg. Bubu reveals that tower administrators can alter floor contents, making her previous game knowledge useful but no longer fully reliable 21 22 25 26 30.

She confronts Yin Lingzi for Qingming’s fan, acquires Copy, frees animals held by the Human-Faced Tree, and defeats the Bloodthirsty Wolf King with help from captive female players. She finishes first again and reports abnormal NPC activity, prompting a system purge of the instance 34 37 40 42 44.

Snake God Mountain Service Area

Heeding Bubu’s warning, Xin Jiu spends most of her points before entering the service area, where everyone’s balance is reset to 1,000. She secures lodging, hides Bubu and her Inspector identity, and coordinates with other elite players while investigating how to earn enough points for their stay 44 45 47 48.

After overhearing orders targeting inspectors and investigators, she visits the arcade, pays 100 points for a game draw, and alerts her contacts. She subsequently competes in a lethal race using her speed skill 49 50.
