Haruma guided the Kirigakure team through the Chunin Exams while confronting Orochimaru, influencing Konoha, and revealing Naruto’s parentage. The arc ended with Naruto defeating Sasuke in the second final match.

• Haruma entered the Forest of Death with Suigetsu and Chōjūrō while Kimimaro, Haku, and Sasuke headed toward the tower, and he later confronted Orochimaru after Orochimaru attacked them.
• Haruma stopped Suigetsu’s fight with Gaara, rescued Karin, and killed Zaku Abumi during the preliminary matches before treating Hinata’s injuries.
• Haruma told Naruto that Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki were his parents, and the Third Hokage confirmed the truth after Naruto confronted him.
• Haruma abducted Hinata and Hanabi, then met Hiashi and revealed himself as the masked figure from three years earlier.
• At the finals, Temari surrendered to Haruma, and Naruto and Sasuke began their match with Sasuke gaining the early advantage.

Haruma used the Konoha attack and his Hidan disguise to expand his influence while maneuvering among Akatsuki, Konoha, and Orochimaru. The arc left Shisui facing Sasori and Deidara as a newcomer’s Shinra Tensei scattered the battlefield and appeared before Manda.

• Gaara’s sand engulfed the arena during his match with Kimimaro, while Yamato protected the spectators and the Kazekage revealed himself as Orochimaru before Haruma appeared with the Rinnegan.
• Sarutobi sealed the reanimated Hashirama and Tobirama and then sealed Orochimaru’s hands with the Reaper Death Seal before dying, while Haruma repelled Jiraiya and the others with Shinra Tensei.
• Haruma collected the remains of four Hokage, left Konoha, and joined Kakuzu as Hidan after using Hidan’s ritual to discover its remote killing power.
• Haruma and Kakuzu killed Chiriku at the Fire Temple, while Shisui’s group kept the dismembered Hidan captive and Haruma planned to grow Hidan’s Jashin cult in Yugakure.
• Haruma, Itachi, Kisame, and Kakuzu attacked Asuma’s squad, took Asuma’s corpse, and withdrew when Konoha’s reinforcements arrived.

Haruma recruited Orochimaru and Akatsuki members, manipulated both sides, and used the reanimated Hokage to extort the Five Great Nations. After Akatsuki captured the Fifth Kazekage and other Jinchūriki, Haruma’s group reached Konoha to demand payment, where Tsunade attacked Suigetsu.

• Haruma defeated Sasori and Deidara, then arranged for Sasori to escape with information about the impostors and their connection to Obito and Pain.
• Haruma recruited Orochimaru, then helped Kisame, Kakuzu, and Itachi turn against Akatsuki while Shisui impersonated Itachi during the attack on Kumogakure.
• Haruma demonstrated his power to the Cloud forces and demanded five billion in annual protection money, while Shisui’s group attacked Kumogakure for its wealth.
• Nagato investigated the impostors as Konan traced the attacks to Kirigakure, where Haruma secretly watched her investigation and had Orochimaru join his organization.
• Haruma restored Orochimaru’s soul and ninjutsu, summoned Hashirama, Tobirama, Hiruzen, and Minato, and forced the Hokage to serve him.

Haruma took control of Akatsuki’s conflict, disrupted Nagato’s assault, and helped steer Konoha and Kirigakure toward a united response. When Obito and a reanimated Madara appeared in Konoha, the fighting exposed Obito’s identity and left the villages battling both threats.

• Hashirama urged Tsunade to accept the enemy’s terms, but she fought him and reaffirmed her resolve as Hokage, and Minato met Naruto and warned Jiraiya that Konoha faced destruction unless it paid five billion.
• Haruma forced the three Sage Lands to accept contracts, then destroyed the Enma clan’s territory with a meteor before visiting Mount Myōboku and Shikkotsu Forest.
• Tsunade led a Konoha delegation to Kirigakure as Nagato sent Pain to capture Naruto, and Haruma secretly proposed joining forces with Black Zetsu to free Kaguya.
• Pain attacked the delegation at Rich Man Bridge, but Haruma defeated Nagato and took his Rinnegan, and Nagato’s final Shinra Tensei sent Konan into the sea, where a gigantic creature swallowed her.
• At Kirigakure, Haruma told Jiraiya and Kakashi that Itachi and Sasuke were spying on Akatsuki, and Jiraiya learned from Konan that Obito controlled the organization.
• Obito returned to Konoha with Black Zetsu and a reanimated Madara, and the assembled Konoha and Kirigakure forces confronted them.
• Might Guy shattered Obito’s mask, and Kakashi recognized him as Obito, and Tsunade ordered the forces to capture him while the others fought Madara’s Susanoo.
