The eerie ghost fire burned through the sealed-off area, setting everything here ablaze.
Amid the flames, the corpses tainted by the supernatural were swiftly reduced to ash, leaving behind not even the slightest residue. The spreading ghost fire also drove out the vicious ghosts hidden throughout this district, until they too were swallowed by the blaze.
Yang Jian strode into an empty building.
The building was still burning because too many corpses had piled up inside. Most were rapidly turning to ash, but there were always a few that could not be destroyed no matter how continuously they burned.
Very soon.
Yang Jian found a charred corpse in an inconspicuous corner of the building.
The corpse looked thin and frail, curled into a ball. Its face was twisted into a hideous, terrifying expression. Pale green flames still flickered from its eye sockets and mouth, as though ghost fire were still burning inside its body.
Even burned into such a state, the corpse had not been damaged.
Clearly, this was no ordinary corpse. It was a ghost. Under the burning ghost fire, the vicious ghost could neither move nor kill, and could only lie on the ground, unable to budge.
Yang Jian reached out, picked up the charred corpse, and turned to leave.
It did not take much effort to resolve the supernatural incident in this area. However, this was only one location. There were three supernatural zones in Dashan City altogether; this one was simply the fiercest and had caused the greatest impact.
Yang Jian went to the other two sealed-off districts as well. By the time he emerged, there were two more charred corpses at his feet. Though the corpses looked much the same, their levels of danger differed enormously. Before Yang Jian, however, they were all the same.
