• Tu Yan emerged from the earth after Qi Ling hardened the soil, then Jin Suo and Yin Suo bound Qi Ling with their intangible chains.

• The woodcutter offered Qi Ling tea, and Qi Ling sensed poison in it and pretended to collapse.
• The woodcutter returned with a healed leg and called in his wife, revealing their plan to kill Qi Ling.
• Qi Ling disarmed the old woman, killed her, then killed the old man and set off to find his own way.

Qi Ling discovered that his Fiery Eyes and Golden Pupils could locate hidden Defense Tokens on the island and learned that three Level One tokens fused into a Level Two token. He continued onward with stronger defenses and a way to seek out and upgrade more tokens.

• Qi Ling found a 20-point resource coin and considered how to earn and spend points on the island.
• Qi Ling used his Fiery Eyes and Golden Pupils to spot a Level One Defense Token beneath a rock, then discovered that carrying a second identical token had no added effect.

Qi Ling discovered that island tokens could be combined to upgrade their level, then came across Cang Yue as three men attacked her while she was badly injured. He watched from concealment as their talisman blocked her opening assault and her defenses began to fail.

• Qi Ling considered how many defense tokens higher-level upgrades would require and found a new 20-point coin at another resource point.
• Qi Ling discovered that a moving resource signal came from a person and recognized Cang Yue, who was facing three hostile men.
• The three men revealed that they had been hired to kill Cang Yue and dismissed her attempt to learn who had paid them.
• Cang Yue triggered the icy battlefield she had been preparing and sent ice spikes at the attackers.
• The bald man used a talisman to raise an ocher barrier, which blocked the spikes before shattering, and the three men reached Cang Yue and broke her ice shield.

Cang Yue used Absolute Zero to kill the two men who attacked her, then collapsed in a seemingly lifeless state. Qi Ling discovered she might still be alive and promised to take her with him, but he had to carry her in a crystal coffin because she could not enter his Infinite Space.

• Cang Yue killed one attacker with an icicle made from her blood, then froze the other two with Absolute Zero.
• Cang Yue collapsed after the battle, and Qi Ling cautiously approached to search the bodies for points.
• Cang Yue suddenly grabbed Qi Ling's hand, and he guessed that she had placed herself in a protective frozen state.

Qi Ling took the injured Cang Yue toward safety but became lost while carrying her coffin. Xiaoyu found him using the Bagua Stone and reported a powerful Ferocious Beast, prompting Qi Ling to investigate while she watched the coffin.

• Qi Ling struggled to find his way through the forest while carrying Cang Yue in her crystal coffin.
