Qi Ling defeated the Skeleton King, claimed the Demon God Fangtian Halberd, and helped Tang San restore Tang Hao and revive Ah Yin. He entered the Demon God Contention Battle in disguise, reached Magic Fairy Castle with Kurumi and Zhuge Xiaoyu, and faced his first group of challengers.

• Qi Ling joined forces with Cao Yang, Dongfang Ye, Bei Na, and Jian Lan to defeat the Skeleton King, then burned it to ash with World-Destroying Black Flame.
• After Cao Yang and Dongfang Ye fought over the golden key, Qi Ling returned, opened the doors to the Demon God Fangtian Halberd, and earned the weapon’s recognition.
• Qi Ling used the halberd’s portal to return to Dragon's Glory City, where Blood Devil taught him the first three forms of the Six Severances of Ghosts and Gods.
• Qi Ling and Tang San reunited with Tang Hao and Ah Yin at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, where Qi Ling treated Tang Hao and Tang San used the Blue Silver Grass to begin reviving Ah Yin.
• After Ah Yin began her return to the hundred-thousand-year level, Qi Ling returned Xiao Wu to the Star Dou Great Forest and prepared for the Demon God Contention Battle.
• Qi Ling entered the Devil Realm disguised as Bai Di, met Kurumi, and drank the inn’s Thousand-Day Drunkenness while pretending to be affected by it.
• Qi Ling, Kurumi, and Zhuge Xiaoyu traveled toward Magic Fairy Castle, where Qi Ling defeated ambushers who had trapped Xiaoyu with poisoned arrows.
• At the castle, the organizer announced that contestants needed more than five points within three hours to qualify, and Kurumi drew three attackers away as four others confronted Qi Ling.

Qi Ling advanced through the first round, clashed with Chu Ling, and joined the contestants aboard Noah for the island trial. There he gathered points and rescued the frozen Cang Yue, while Kurumi confronted an ambush outside the safe zone and merchant Dimo approached Qi Ling about Cang Yue.

• Qi Ling defeated Tu Yan, Jin Suo, and Yin Suo, then met Kurumi and watched the powerful Chu Ling eliminate nine contestants.
• Qi Ling fought Chu Ling until officials halted the duel, then joined the 1,200 survivors traveling to the second round.
• Xue Qinghe recruited Qi Ling and Xiaoyu into Qian Xunji’s alliance, while Luna mistook Qi Ling for her former master.
• Alice led the contestants aboard Noah to an island and explained the ten-day trial, its points, safe zones, quests, and Clearance Tokens.
• Qi Ling took points and a Defense Token from a would-be robber, exposed and killed a murderous couple, and fused three Level One tokens into a Level Two token.
• Qi Ling found Cang Yue battling hired attackers, then carried her in a crystal coffin after she froze herself to recover.
• Xiaoyu used the Bagua Stone to find Qi Ling, who killed a Ferocious Beast for a 100-point coin before they reached a safe zone together.
• Qi Ling entered the safe zone with Xiaoyu and learned that healing would cost 120 points, while Kurumi threatened the ambushers outside and Dimo approached Qi Ling about Cang Yue.

Qi Ling and his companions fought Escanor and joined Qian Jiyin’s hunt for the Sword Demon, where Qi Ling was gravely wounded saving Luna. After recovering and finding Cang Yue alive, Qi Ling learned that Sleepless City had discovered ancient ruins, and the group set out to explore them.

• Kurumi treated Cang Yue with Qi Ling’s blood while Qi Ling and his companions took missions, battled beasts, and tried to earn points to extend their stay.
• Qian Xunji’s alliance mistook Escanor for Qi Ling and attacked him, but Escanor overwhelmed the group until Qi Ling fought him and withdrew before either could claim victory.
• After Zhen Hong apparently killed an SSS-rank monster, Xiao Ye invited Qi Ling to join Qian Jiyin’s plan to hunt another one and recruited Luna to help.
• Qian Jiyin led the gathered fighters to the altar, where they battled the Sword Demon and its clones until Qi Ling identified the original and helped restrain it.
• Qi Ling switched places with Luna to take the Sword Demon’s deadly strike, countered with Heaven Devourer, and collapsed with a severe chest wound.
• Luna carried Qi Ling to safety despite Hao Long’s opposition, and the group spent ten thousand points to heal him, after waking, Qi Ling saw Cang Yue emerge from her shattered cultivation chamber.
• Xiao Ye told Qi Ling that Qian Jiyin had kept the SSS-rank monster’s best rewards and that Sleepless City had found ruins with comparable treasure, so the group prepared to explore.
• Luna gathered Demon Alliance members while Xiao Ye exchanged points for supplies, and Qi Ling’s group quietly departed for the ruins at night without Hao Long.

Qi Ling cleared the ruins, rescued Luna, and survived the trials and battles before returning to the Douluo Continent. He resurrected Xiao Wu’s mother and reunited with Bibi Dong, who was welcomed by Xiao Wu’s mother in her rabbit form.

• Xiao Ye, Xiao Ming, and Qi Ling entered the ruins while Luna held back the crowds, but Hao Long betrayed her and helped Chu Ling pursue Qi Ling.
• Luna transformed into a giant demon cat to defend the entrance, then fell unconscious after Qian Jiyin trapped her in a formation and the attackers overwhelmed her.
• Qi Ling, Xiao Ye, and Xiao Ming drank the tea required for the ruins’ trial, and Qi Ling passed by restoring his sense of self while Chu Ling and Qian Jiyin’s group arrived.
• Qi Ling won three rewards, including powerful cat bells for Luna, then confronted Qian Jiyin, Hao Long, and Chu Ling after they used Luna to lure him into a trap.
• Cang Yue intervened in the fight, and Qi Ling gave the cat bells to Luna, who regained her strength and defeated Hao Long while Qi Ling fought Qian Jiyin.
• Qi Ling and his companions returned to the safe zone, where Alice announced the 258 contestants who had passed and gave them a year before the next round.
• Qi Ling returned to the Douluo Continent, visited Xiao Wu, and helped her reach Soul Power Level 92 before performing a ritual that restored her mother in a white rabbit’s body.
• Qi Ling reunited with Bibi Dong in Dragon’s Glory City, and Xiao Wu presented her mother’s rabbit form to Bibi Dong, who welcomed her tenderly.
