The two agreed to settle their struggle for Douluo Continent through seven duels, while Qi Ling began assembling his side and learned that Qian Jiyin might interfere.

• Qi Ling took Xiao Wu, Luna, and Yu Tianyi to Sea God Island, defeated Sea Dragon Douluo, and learned that Tang San was completing his Sea God trials.
• Qi Ling rescued Tang San from the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King, helped him defeat the beast, and carried him to the surface to claim its Soul Ring and Soul Bone.
• Qi Ling brought Tang San to the Clear Sky Sect, where Tang Chen tried to save him from the Asura Divine Power, and Qi Ling helped Hu Liena calm Tang San and share the Asura God Position with him.
• Qi Ling trained the Clear Sky Sect, then learned Tang San and Hu Liena had inherited the Asura God Position together and that Tang Chen had died.

• Tang San lost his match against Qian Jiyin, while Tang Hao defeated Golden Crocodile Douluo with his Clear Sky Hammer.
• Bibi Dong defeated Gui Luo by using Kyōka Suigetsu and sealing his true body, while Bai Ling'er lost to Hao Long after hesitating to hurt him.
• Jian Lan defeated Xue Qinghe, reading his presence and cutting apart his World-Destroying Demonic Lightning.

Qi Ling restored Bibi Dong to power, completed the trials that gave him a mighty ninth Soul Ring, and entered an unfamiliar world to aid Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing. There, stripped of his abilities but retaining his unusual toughness, he learned that he was secretly known as Azure Dragon and set out to find a mole in the Light Observation Hall.

• Chen Xin defeated the elder in their sword duel, securing Qi Ling's side a fourth victory, and Qian Xunji and Qian Jiyin left the world after conceding.
• Qi Ling returned with Bibi Dong and Qian Renxue to Spirit City, where Bibi Dong explained Qian Xunji's crimes, spared the misled, and restored Qian Renxue to command.
• Bibi Dong announced the end of the Divine Court and was crowned Pope, while Qi Ling visited Xue Ke, who asked him to help her conceive an heir.
• Qi Ling demonstrated Dragon's Glory's elemental troops and military forces to Xue Ke and her delegation, then reunited with Dai Mubai and the Shrek members in Spirit City.

• Yang Qianqiong saved Qi Ling from bandits and told him Ning Rongrong led the Light Observation Hall, while Qi Ling discovered that his body remained unusually tough.

Qi Ling helped King Wu defeat the Shang Dynasty, returned to the Douluo Continent, and reconciled with Qian Renxue before setting out for the second half of the Demon God Contention Battle. He arrived in the Devil Realm with his companions as the combat round began.

• Qi Ling reunited with Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing in Fuzhou, learned their roles in the rebel cause, and returned to Chaoge to investigate the Shang Dynasty.
• Qi Ling uncovered Su Daji’s identity, won Vermilion Bird’s support, and joined Zhu Zhuqing in ambushing Zhao Gongming, allowing King Wu’s forces to capture cities and bring down the Shang Dynasty.
• Qi Ling returned to the Douluo Continent while Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing stayed to continue their Godhood trials, then prepared for the Demon God Contention Battle and agreed to help Xiao Ye explore the Night Dynasty ruins later.
