Qi Ling led his companions west toward Sea God Island, fought the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King, and lost access to his powers after the battle. After reuniting with the others and forming an alliance with Zi Zhenzhu, Qi Ling reached Sea God Island and began its trials despite his powerlessness.

• Xue Ke mastered the Gundam under Qi Ling’s guidance, while Qi Ling later gave Tang San the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud.
• Qi Ling and his companions rescued survivors from the Wolf Bandits, defeated the bandits, and continued to Vast Sea City, where they won every Great Soul Arena match and bought a Dragon Abyss Boat.
• Qi Ling exposed Haider’s attempt to drug and rob the group, then fought the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King and sent Tang San and the others away before the battle left him severely injured and powerless.
• Zi Zhenzhu claimed Qi Ling as her bride, but Jian Lan and the others found him, and he stopped Tang San from fighting Zi Zhenzhu when they reunited.

Qi Ling returned from Sea God Island after helping his companions begin their trials, then helped Qian Renxue pass her Fifth Trial and trained in the Star Dou Great Forest. He left with Bibi Dong to face an ambush by Qian Xunji, Xue Qinghe, and Qian Daoliu.

• Dai Mubai, Ma Hongjun, Oscar, Ning Rongrong, Zhu Zhuqing, Xiao Wu, and Yu Tianyi received Sea God trials, while Tang San was marked for the Sea God’s Nine Trials and Qi Ling and Jian Lan received trials of no trial.
• Dragon Maiden revealed that Qi Ling was the Dragon God and restored his sealed power, allowing him to defeat Sea Dragon Douluo and climb the Sea God’s Light without difficulty.
• Qi Ling trained his companions under the Sea God’s Light, where Zhu Zhuqing reached the fiftieth step and Jian Lan walked to the top without resistance.
• Bo Saixi challenged Qi Ling to fight her after nine months, and Qi Ling left Sea God Island with Dragon Maiden for Dragon's Glory City.

• Qi Ling found Bibi Dong at Xiao Wu’s mother’s empty grave and left the forest with her, but Qian Xunji and Xue Qinghe confronted them before Qian Daoliu attacked Qi Ling from behind.

Qi Ling fused his divine and demonic powers to survive the battle with Qian Daoliu, then recovered through Bibi Dong and traveled to Sea God Island. After helping test his companions and comprehending the sea’s laws, he challenged Bo Saixi, whose decisive attack remained in preparation.

• Bibi Dong shielded Qi Ling from fatal attacks and restored his strength, allowing him to fuse his Martial Soul Avatars and force Qian Daoliu to sacrifice himself for Qian Xunji and Xue Qinghe’s escape.
• Qi Ling returned gravely injured, consummated his relationship with Bibi Dong to awaken the Life and Death Lotus, and advanced beyond level eighty.
• Bibi Dong departed for Yue Shen’s divine test, while Qi Ling traveled to Sea God Island and watched his companions complete the First Trial.

Qi Ling passed Bo Saixi’s trials and led his companions to Dragon God Island, where he learned that he was the reincarnation of both the Dragon God and Blood Devil. After training and receiving new divine rewards, he absorbed his eighth Soul Ring and reached power that met the standard of God Level.

• Qi Ling defeated Bo Saixi with the Xuanyuan Sword and took eight companions through Dragon Maiden’s passage to the Dragon God Continent.
• Qi Ling used his companions’ support and destroyed the Sword of Rupture to reach Dragon God Island, leaving himself catastrophically injured.
• Blood Devil emerged from Qi Ling and attacked his companions, but the Dragon God defeated him and healed those he had injured.
