Qi Ling rescued Bo Saixi from Xue Qinghe, helped Tang San’s group complete their trials, and returned to pursue his own Dragon God trials. He gained the Dragon God Armor and new techniques, ending with his Soul Power Level raised to 85.

• Qi Ling became intimate with Xiao Wu, then rescued Bo Saixi from Xue Qinghe, destroyed Qian Daoliu’s corpse puppet, and drove the Divine Court forces from Sea God Island.
• Qi Ling befriended the Black Jade Qilin and named it Xiao Hei, shattered Xie Hu’s mind, and told Tang San to kill him and absorb his Soul Ring.
• Qi Ling became the Acting Sea Dragon Douluo, overwhelmed Tang San and his companions in their final challenge, and declared that they had passed the Fifth Trial.
• Qi Ling reached the second Dragon God Island, brought his companions there, and became intimate with Ning Rongrong before spending three months searching for scattered points of light.
• Ning Rongrong’s suggestion helped Qi Ling locate the final light on Dragon Maiden, and he completed the second trial, chose a Divine Dragon Bone, and summoned the Dragon God Armor.
• Tuoliya became intimate with Qi Ling and drew the Sword in the Stone, which Qi Ling renamed the Sword of the Oath before falling unconscious for a month.
• Qi Ling recovered and began Ten Thousand Years in an Instant on the third Dragon God Island, while Xiao Wu and his other companions watched over him.
• Qi Ling passed the Third Trial after nearly half a year, reached Soul Power Level 85, evolved two techniques, and received the Hundred Transformations of the Wandering Dragon.

Qi Ling accepted the Demon God Contention Battle and helped his companions finish their trials before returning to Sea God Island. He aided the Sea Witch and Hai Wei'er in the Mermaid Tribe, and the arc ended with Hai Wei'er resisting the Heart of the Ocean’s power after Qi Ling helped her recover her emotions.

• Qi Ling learned he needed an eighth Soul Ring to continue his Dragon God Trial, and Blood Devil revealed the Demon God Contention Battle and urged him to compete for the Demon God Godhood.
• Qi Ling accepted the challenge, then endured Blood Devil’s Threefold Blood Curse, which Dugu Yan, Shui Bing’er, and Huo Wu helped break.
• Qi Ling watched his companions complete their trials over six months, then surprised Tang San by lifting the Sea God Trident with ease.
• Qi Ling agreed to help Sea Witch retrieve the Mermaid Clan’s divine artifact and followed her to find the Sea Demon Tribe attacking the merfolk.
• Qi Ling and Hai Wei'er defeated the Sea Demon Tribe’s forces, rescued Haige'er, and secured permission for Hai Wei'er to attempt the Heart of the Ocean’s trial.

Qi Ling completed Hai Wei'er's Heart of the Ocean trial, intervened in Xue Ke's troubles, and helped Qian Renxue prepare for her Angel God inheritance. In the Star Dou Great Forest, he rescued Tang San from Cao Yang's forces, but Cao Yang attacked Xiao Wu's companions and returned from apparent death just as Qi Ling arrived to confront him.

• Qi Ling helped Hai Wei'er pass the Heart of the Ocean trial, and she made the Sea God Strongman her guardian before returning to the Mermaid Tribe with him.
• Qi Ling learned that Bo Saixi would have to sacrifice her Martial Soul for Tang San's Sea God inheritance, promised to find her another Martial Soul, and returned Hai Wei'er to Sea God Island.
• Qi Ling attended the National Day banquet with Xue Ke, exposed Kai Erqi's plot to drug and abduct her, and trapped Kai Erqi with the Devil-Trapping Stone before leaving Heaven Dou City.
• Qi Ling fought Qian Renxue, assessed her Angel God trials and incomplete armor, then traveled with her and Xiao Wu toward the Star Dou Great Forest.
• Qian Renxue found the Transformation Herb with Da Ming and Er Ming's help, while Xiao Wu reaffirmed that she would accept losing her Martial Soul and Soul Power to resurrect her mother.
• Cao Yang captured Tang San and used him as bait for Qi Ling, but Qi Ling defeated A Guduo's forces, rescued Tang San, and trapped A Guduo with the Devil-Trapping Stone.
• Cao Yang attacked Qian Renxue, Da Ming, and Er Ming, but Da Ming bound him and Qian Renxue burned him to ash before Cao Yang resurrected through his ghost horse and struck back.
• Qi Ling arrived and used the Hou Yi Bow to drive Cao Yang back with a stream of arrows while the others remained wounded and under attack.

Qi Ling defeated Cao Yang and Tang Chen while helping his allies advance toward their godhoods and preparing for the Demon God Contention Battle. His search for the Demon God Fangtian Halberd brought him, Bei Na, and Jian Lan into the Wailing Cave, where Cao Yang unexpectedly appeared.

• Qi Ling defeated Cao Yang, but Qian Xunji rescued him and allied with him and Xue Qinghe against Qi Ling.
• Qi Ling helped Tang San obtain a Hundred Thousand Year Soul Ring and rescued Meng Yiran from Divine Court Soul Masters.
• Qi Ling defeated Tang Chen, revealed Tang San as his great-grandson, and suggested Tang San inherit the Asura Godhood before Tang Chen took Tang San and Hu Liena to the Clear Sky Sect.
• Qian Renxue refused to kill an illusion of Qian Xunji and gained the Angel Godhood's recognition by resolving to stop his wrongdoing.
• Qi Ling helped Bei Na recover her will to battle inside the Devil-Trapping Stone, and Luna left with a woman from the Devil Realm to become stronger.
