Meanwhile, Carlmand and his group strolled around the streets. The area wasn't very developed, and it wasn't easy to find shops selling special services.
I only found three shops after wandering around for ages, and before I could even go inside to see what was going on, I heard a police siren.
All the shops started closing their doors and windows, and soon only a few grown men were left on the street, looking completely bewildered.
" Carlmand, what's going on?"
"Let's get this straight, you volunteered to lead the team earlier, so if you didn't get to play this time, you're fully responsible."
Behrens realized he had run out of fun, so he decided to tease Carlmand first; he needed to find some amusement, after all.
Behrens ' words deeply stung Carlmand. Like a cat with its fur standing on end, he turned around and angrily retorted, "You shameless bastard! Oulait was brought up by you and Drew, and you can't escape responsibility!"
Drew paused for a moment, pointed to himself, and said, "Eh!!!"
"Didn't you ask me to lend a hand?"
"Why is it my business again?"
Drew was speechless. He was always dragged into everything. He hadn't even fired a shot, so why was he always being used as a scapegoat?
"Nonsense, wasn't it you who raised your hand and said you'd bring yours? I think your bad luck this time is most likely due to your special constitution."
"Yes, Drew, you're a man, you have to take responsibility."
Carlmand and Behrens each said something that left Drew completely dumbfounded.
Those two shameless old scoundrels have absolutely no shame. If he could beat them, he would have kicked them both.
" Oulait, look at them."
Drew was at his wit's end and could only turn to Oulait for help, who was watching coldly from the sidelines.
As expected, Oulait glanced at him coldly and said, "You were indeed among the people who pulled me away earlier."
Drew was completely out of ideas. He turned around, squatted down, and started drawing circles on the ground with his finger.
He seemed to be muttering something under his breath.
"You always bully honest people like me! I'll draw a circle and curse you all, I curse you so you won't be able to lift the pole next time you play!"
" Drew, what are you muttering about over there?"
"Let's go quickly, let's find someone to ask what's going on."
"Oh, it's nothing, I'm here."
Drew was startled when he heard Carlmand and the others calling him. He thought those old thieves had overheard him, so he quickly got up and went with them to look for the people.
Knock knock knock~
Knock knock knock~
They knocked on several doors, but without exception, no one answered.
This left them momentarily at a loss; they couldn't very well force their way into a house and kick the door open.
They wandered aimlessly through the streets for a while.
Suddenly, another sound echoed throughout the town, and the residents began to return to their normal lives.
"My God, what's wrong with the people in this town? I've never seen such a custom before."
"Me too, it feels a little eerie."
"Why worry about so much? This is a good thing! The shop we're looking for should be open by now. Don't forget the important thing."
Seeing Drew's urging manner, Carlmand and Behrens gave him the middle finger.
They even accused him of slander?
Do they even need to slander them? They're more proactive than anyone else; they're a perfect example of latecomers catching up and surpassing their predecessors.
"Let's go, Oulait."
Needless to say, it was Behrens and Drew who made the move again, and Oulait was dragged away once more.
Seeing the pink sign in front of her, Oulait's eyelids kept twitching, and an impatient look appeared on her face.
House of Cloud Dreams ~
The name itself sounds amazing.
"This is what you call tradition?"
"That's utterly self-degrading."
Oulait stood at the door, refusing to go in. Carlmand and the others took turns trying to persuade him, saying, " Oulait, as a brave swordsman, how can you back down?"
"Think about it, how will you know you don't like it if you don't experience it yourself?"
"If you haven't experienced it yourself, what grounds do you have to criticize it?"
"If you don't experience it yourself, what reason do you have to criticize Kazu?"
"You must remember Kazu once said: 'No one has the right to speak without practice.'"
"If you want to deny something and refute us, you have to go through it yourself first to find its flaws. Only then can you be reasonable, convincing, and persuasive, right?"
Carlmand's words made Oulait think deeply, feeling that what he said made a strange sense.
Especially that line that could be used to retort to Kazu...
Yes, it's truly irresistible.
"This..."
"Then let's go."
With a critical eye, Oulait followed Carlmand and the others into the House of Cloud Dreams, displaying a remarkable spirit of fearlessness.
"Boss, we'll all take the most expensive set meal, and two for each of the girls."
"Oh, right, find two skilled, enthusiastic, and proactive guys for my brother. He's a bit aloof and too lazy to do anything himself."
The manager hadn't expected these people to be so arrogant, so he said, "What are you waiting for? Please come inside."
