Uya gained the Tremor-Tremor Fruit’s power and trained under Might Duy, developing a lasting version of the Eight Gates that gave him chakra. He won his way into the combat assessment’s final match against Minato Namikaze, while his death duel with Uchiha Kan still loomed.
Uya defeated Uchiha Kan, joined the Anbu as a reserve member, and developed his Quake Release and Monstrous Strength techniques. After surviving and capturing an assassin who had targeted him and Kushina, he was summoned to Anbu candidate training in the Forest of Death.
Uya passed the Anbu trial, developed new tremor techniques, and proved himself in a mission that ended with the deaths of Hozuki Mugetsu and Tsuki Uchiha. After strengthening himself for the coming war, he was summoned to join the Anbu as a full-fledged ninja.
Uya joined the war in the Land of Rain, survived the destruction of his squad, and grew into a powerful special Anbu while befriending Yahiko and Konan. After claiming the Kusanagi Sword and uncovering his clan identity, he left to rescue Tsunade and faced an approaching Iwagakure force alone.
Uya rescued Tsunade, defeated Iwagakure and Sunagakure forces, and drew attention to his growing strength. As the decisive battle approached, Konoha ordered him to fight openly as a genin, where Jiraiya appointed him a temporary column captain.
Uya led Konoha’s forces to devastating victories over Iwagakure, defeating Ōnoki and earning promotion to elite jonin. With Iwagakure driven from the Land of Rain, Konoha entered a three-way conflict as Uya continued training and faced assassination attempts.
Uya helped the Sannin drive Hanzo from the battlefield, then stayed in the Land of Rain to train Konan and Yahiko and investigate Nagato’s Rinnegan. After confronting Madara’s surveillance and sharpening his sensing, Uya infiltrated Sunagakure to claim the Ame-no-Habaki Sword and escape its Anbu.
Uya invaded Sunagakure alone, killed the Third Kazekage, and drove Shukaku into the desert, forcing the village to surrender. Back in Konoha, he studied the Spirit Transformation Technique and learned that Kushina had been abducted by Cloud ninja, leaving him in pursuit.
After rescuing Kushina from Kumogakure, Uya invaded the village and fought the Third Raikage, who was presumed to have killed them both. Uya survived, returned to Konoha, and reunited with Kushina as the Second Shinobi World War ended, then sought Orochimaru’s help with his training.
Uya killed Uchiha Kageyama after the Uchiha Clan targeted him, then traded Uchiha Rin’s Mangekyō Sharingan to Orochimaru for research and pursued his own Sage Mode. After claiming Bloody Hand’s Totsuka Blade and forging it with his other swords into a powerful new Kusanagi Sword, Uya headed toward Mount Myōboku.
Uya mastered Sage Mode, stopped the Nine-Tails’ rampage, and left Konoha with Kushina so she could accept Kurama and train with his chakra. In the Land of Rain, he rescued Yahiko and Konan from Hanzo, then confronted Nagato’s Pain as Nagato revealed his plan to use the Tailed Beasts.
Uya took control of Amegakure, captured the Seven-Tails, and built his strength while the Third Shinobi World War battered Konoha. When Konoha sought his help, Uya joined the battlefield and defeated the One-Tail, leaving the war still underway.
Uya returned to Konoha, routed Kirigakure’s forces, and advanced his Sage Body by opening the Sixth Gate. He captured Iwagakure’s Four-Tails and Five-Tails Jinchūriki, pursued new ways to strengthen his soul, and arrived as the Fourth Raikage attacked him.
Uya defeated Kumogakure’s forces, Madara, and Danzo while strengthening his soul and helping Kushina train. After Danzo’s death reopened treaty negotiations, Tsunade persuaded Uya to represent Amegakure at the Five Kage meeting.
Uya asserted Amegakure’s power, transformed Rōran without taking its Dragon Vein, and absorbed its energy as Konoha faced the abduction of the Jinchūriki and the Nine-Tails’ attack. After defeating Black Zetsu’s assault and training Might Guy, Uya went to the Land of Water to seek Nagato and met the orphaned Haku.
Uya trained Haku, took Kimimaro from Kirigakure, and defeated the Akatsuki before returning to Konoha and resolving a crisis with Kumogakure. After meeting the Sage of Six Paths beyond the world, Uya returned to his body nearly two years later and began advancing further.
Uya gained Six Paths power, destroyed the lunar Tenseigan and became Hinata’s teacher, then took in Karin and prepared Amegakure’s young fighters for the exams. As Uya’s influence spread, the Uchiha clan fell, Orochimaru revealed his Konoha Crush Plan, and Kakashi was trapped by Zabuza.
Uya’s arrival in Konoha put his Amegakure students at the center of the Chunin Exams, while Naruto, Sasuke, and the others encountered dangerous opponents and Orochimaru’s attack. After Hinata confronted Gaara and Shukaku, the surviving candidates reached the tower, where Sasuke and Karin prepared to fight under Uya’s watch.
Uya completed his transformation, opened the Eighth Gate, and stopped the reanimated Senju brothers from destroying Konoha. As Black Zetsu advanced its plans and the Five Great Shinobi Villages sought an alliance, the story turned toward a Six Kage Summit in Amegakure.
Uya ended the Fourth Shinobi World War, defeated Madara Uchiha and Princess Kaguya, and stopped Momoshiki Otsutsuki after the Infinite Tsukuyomi. Weakened by the battle, he crossed into the One Piece world, where he developed a sword intent and drew Hawk-Eye Mihawk’s attention.
