Her love subsequently turned to hatred, and she and Qi Gu made underhanded moves against Jing Fanyu 11 12.
That sequence was disrupted when Wu Fei and Jing Fanyu obtained the Seven Emotions Flower instead. Nevertheless, Liu Yuexuan later became Qi Gu’s dao companion and developed hostility toward both men 27.

Story Role / Major Arcs
Inheritance Tomb
On the seventh day inside the inheritance tomb, Liu Yuexuan encounters Jing Fanyu and Wu Fei shortly after they kill a Nascent Soul Realm demon beast. She invites Jing Fanyu to investigate a hidden cave abode that she and Qi Gu discovered. Although they have cleared its entrance and dismantled mechanisms, they cannot find the way beyond its stone walls 12 13.
Jing Fanyu activates the concealed mechanism, allowing the group to enter the cave’s trials. Liu Yuexuan and the other disciples emerge with gains but without obtaining an inheritance 13 14.
When Jing Fanyu later disappears from his cabin, she joins Qi Gu and the others in searching for him. By the time Wu Fei and Jing Fanyu return from ancient ruins, the group has departed. Wu Fei finds her willingness to leave without Jing Fanyu unusual, but what happened to her that night remains unclear 15 17.
Heavenly Dao Assembly
At Flame Spirit Mountain, Liu Yuexuan appears beside Qi Gu, now her dao companion, and watches Wu Fei and Jing Fanyu with pronounced malice. Wu Fei follows her when she quietly leaves the gathering and heads toward the preparation area for the Dao Comprehension Tea 27 28.
Wu Fei delays her with questions until the tea is carried away, preventing her from tampering with it. He suspects that the concealed item in her hand was intended to expose Jing Fanyu’s identity as a Devil Cultivator. Despite her failure, Jing Fanyu’s demonic qi subsequently erupts during the lecture, revealing him as Yin Fan 28.
Actions in the Flame Spirit Realm
Liu Yuexuan tells the Seven Luminaries Sect disciples where Wu Fei and Yin Fan will pass, enabling them to prepare an ambush. Xiao Yi later identifies her as their source 37.
She subsequently appears beside Cang Xiao at a mysterious altar, where righteous sect leaders and Devil Venerables have gathered to act against Yin Fan. Using the beasts’ essence blood, she activates the altar and helps summon an apparently divine presence 41 42.
Possession and Mental Collapse
After Wu Fei destroys the summoned apparition, black mist pours from the altar into Liu Yuexuan. She clutches her head and alternates between delight and madness, pleading for Jing Fanyu to accept her as her voice changes into a deep male voice. When the mist leaves her body, she appears vacant 42.
During the ensuing confrontation, she again demands to know why Jing Fanyu rejected her. A surge of black mist erupts from her body and merges with the Obstruction Devil, which then draws those present into an illusory realm 43.
Her reference to being pushed away makes Wu Fei suspect that she has awakened memories of Heavenly Dao’s original events: the rejection she describes did not occur in the altered sequence. This remains a theory, not a confirmed explanation 43 49.
Inside the illusory Heavenly Clear City, Wu Fei and Yin Fan find her disheveled and muttering that Jing Fanyu belongs to her. Her repeated claim that someone “promised” her this is left unexplained 45.
Qi Gu eventually takes her back to the Heavenly Sword Sect. Yin Fan’s investigation confirms that her madness is genuine; Wu Fei attributes it to the Obstruction Devil having consumed all of her obsession, seven emotions, and six desires 49.
