Seeing Dumbledore's reaction, Morris had a guess in mind and asked, " Professor Dumbledore, do you know the whereabouts of the Deathly Hallows?"
" The Deathly Hallows," Dumbledore said with his signature smile, "Many people throughout history have sought them, and I was no exception."
Such an ambiguous response.
"Wait!" Sirius suddenly realized the truth and exclaimed in surprise, " The Elder Wand, the Invisibility Cloak, the Resurrection Stone —these things really exist?"
Dumbledore maintained his smile and nodded slightly, saying nothing more.
This clearly shows that he knows the whereabouts of the Deathly Hallows, but is unwilling to reveal it.
Morris shook his head helplessly.
What else can he do? He can't force a centenarian, can he?
Just then, Morris's gaze suddenly fell on Dumbledore's wand on the table.
Dumbledore's wand was unusually long, but otherwise it was nothing special.
Morris secretly extended an extremely subtle Mental Power, and then an indescribable, strange sensation emanated from the staff.
It's a bit subtle.
hiss-
Could it be?
Morris gave Dumbledore sharp look.
Dumbledore looked back at him without flinching and blinked.
really.
Morris looked away.
After chatting for a while longer, Sirius left the Headmaster's Office.
"Professor, is that the Elder Wand in your hand?"
Morris then turned around and asked.
Dumbledore picked up his wand and gently touched it.
"That's what people call this wand," he said casually, "But whether it's the Elder Wand from the stories, nobody knows."
"Is there anything special about it?" Morris raised his eyebrows.
"Special... perhaps you could say that," Dumbledore nodded, "In my opinion, it's just a handy wand; while it can enhance the user's magic, it's far from making one 'invincible.'"
Morris knew that Grindelwald had once possessed the Elder Wand, so it seemed normal that it had ended up in Dumbledore's hands, given that Dumbledore had once defeated Grindelwald.
"You really want it?" Dumbledore asked.
"That's right," Morris said sincerely, "While I wouldn't say I absolutely need it, I am indeed a little curious."
Which wizard wouldn't have any interest in this legendary magic wand?
"So what do you plan to do?" Dumbledore asked Morris with interest.
Morris stroked his chin. "Do you think I could possibly take it from you?"
Dumbledore smiled and shook his head.
He knew, of course, that Morris was just joking.
"Okay," Morris shrugged and spread his hands, "I'm not in a hurry. Let's talk about it when we have the chance later."
"Hmm," Dumbledore nodded, rising from his armchair and straightening his robes. "Well then, I have some business to attend to, so I should be leaving."
"Wait," Morris stopped him, "Do you know the whereabouts of the remaining two items Invisibility Cloak and the Resurrection Stone?"
Dumbledore stopped, turned to the side, and calmly looked at Morris's face.
"Those two things aren't in my possession," he said. "Perhaps you can try to find them yourself."
After leaving Hogwarts, Morris returned to the Ship in a Bottle that was moored near Hogsmeade.
Entering the living room, he leaned back on the sofa, stretched, and squinted at the magic lamp on the ceiling.
The Elder Wand has been found, so all that's left is the Invisibility Cloak and the Resurrection Stone.
If he's looking for something... he can't avoid the information brokers in Diagon Alley that he knows.
I'll ask them one by one when I have time.
With the added advantage of money, they should be able to get some information out of you.
One early morning in early August.
London, an ordinary Muggle street.
Morris stopped in front of a rather dilapidated-looking red telephone booth.
" The Muggle-Repelling Charm must be here."
As he pondered this, he opened the door to the phone booth and went inside.
This phone booth serves as the visitor entrance to the Ministry of Magic.
He is here today at the invitation of Hardy to visit the Department of Mysteries.
Morris quickly scanned his surroundings, picked up the microphone, and entered the number "62442" on the dial pad.
This string of numbers represents the English letters "MAGIC".
About five seconds after dialing, a woman's voice came through the receiver.
"Welcome to the Ministry of Magic. Please state your name and the purpose of your visit."
The person's voice sounded completely emotionless, with a very strong accent.
" Morris Black has come at Mr. Hardy's invitation."
The microphone went silent.
A few seconds later, the coin slot dispensed a Winky silver badge.
Morris picked up the badge, which bore the name and purpose he had just stated.
After pinning the badge to his chest, the phone booth swayed and then began to sink. The surrounding sounds gradually disappeared, and the scenery turned into dark brickwork.
The entire descent was very gentle and lasted about half a minute.
Finally, the phone booth was placed in a dimly lit hall.
This was a very spacious hall with a huge golden fountain in the center, a row of elevators at the far end, and numerous fireplaces around the perimeter. Many wizards were emerging from it.
It was during working hours, and the hall was crowded with people. Wizards dressed in robes of various colors hurried by, their expressions all tense.
Morris walked toward the reception desk, where a witch wearing thick glasses was engrossed in processing a pile of documents.
"Hello."
"!"
The witch was startled and looked up. Behind the thick glasses were a pair of bloodshot eyes, as if she had been up for several sleepless nights in a row.
"Are you a visitor?" she asked nervously.
Morris took the badge off his chest and handed it to him.
The witch looked very young; she must have just arrived.
The witch glanced at him and visibly relaxed. " Mr. Hardy already told me he'll be here soon. Please wait a moment."
So, Morris leaned against the reception desk, idly surveying the scene in the lobby.
This was, in fact, his first time visiting the Ministry of Magic.
Who would have thought that beneath an ordinary Muggle street lay such a scene?
" Morris?"
Suddenly, a familiar voice rang out.
Morris turned his head and saw a red-haired figure emerge from the crowd.
" Mr. Weasley?" he greeted with a smile. "Good morning."
The newcomer was none other than Arthur Weasley.
Arthur is an employee of the Ministry of Magic, so it's perfectly normal for him to be in the hall at this time.
"I thought I was seeing things!" He strode over, his face beaming with surprise. "What are you doing here?"
" Mr. Hardy invited me," Morris said truthfully.
" Hardy..." Arthur muttered, then nodded in realization, "Oh, it's him."
