Background / History

Before transmigrating, Luo Tian lived in a home with an inherited 250-square-meter villa. His opening scene places him on a sofa watching the Football World Cup final, holding a football lottery ticket and a bottle of cola during a thunderstorm 1.

He awakens in a Fengluo City slum in the body of Ye Tianqi, an orphan who had collapsed while traveling from a remote town. An elderly man claims to have rescued him and gives him a supposed secret manual, saying that becoming a powerhouse will reveal the truth. The man then vanishes. The book turns out to contain illustrations of male-female poses rather than cultivation instructions 1.

After Luo Tian calls for a system, the Sign-In Summoning System binds to him. Its first rewards allow him to begin cultivation, while the beginner’s gift pack supplies the technique, equipment, funds, and summoning card that underpin his rise 2 3.

Luo Tian is openly ambitious but prefers concealed control to public leadership. He establishes Shadow Pavilion as only the first of several planned organizations, appoints others to visible leadership positions, and declares his goal of reaching the continent’s pinnacle—and potentially going beyond it 5 20 50.

He combines caution with ruthlessness. He initially accepts advice against seizing the imperial-backed black market, but later demands half its annual profits once his organization is stronger. He also engineers conflict between rival sects and orders the elimination of resisting enemies 11 18 33.

His irreverent internal commentary contrasts with his composed manner before subordinates and opponents. Although he delights in cultivation shortcuts, he also endures painful body tempering and repeated lightning strikes to improve his abilities 3 14 25 32. System rewards strongly influence his decisions: he refuses the Blood Lord’s surrender because sparing him would jeopardize mission completion 43.
