History
Foundation and First Conquest
Luo Tian founds the Shadow Pavilion after summoning the Six Sword Slaves. He appoints them hall masters, provides one million low-grade spirit stones, and orders them to recruit intelligence operatives and assassins. Within a night, they secure a temporary base and begin monitoring Fengluo City’s major factions; a separate abandoned courtyard becomes an outpost for commissions 5.
The pavilion’s first major operation targets the Heavenly Wolf Gang. The Six Sword Slaves kill its leader, Xiong Tian, despite his warning that the Ghost King Sect backs him. Yellow-rank assassins eliminate resisting gang members, and the pavilion seizes the gang’s holdings. It then publicly claims the businesses and warns other factions against interfering 7 8.
Control of Fengluo City
The Ghost King Sect sends Yin Tiankui and other members to retaliate. Han Tang, Lü Baichuan, and Luo Tian defeat the attackers in a one-sided battle, exposing two peak Yin-Yang Realm experts among the pavilion’s forces. News of Yin Tiankui’s death spreads throughout the dynasty 14 15 16.
Luo Tian then demands the submission of Fengluo City’s established powers. The Wang Clan and Huang Lineage agree to surrender sixty percent of their profits, while officials from the City Lord’s Manor flee to the capital. Through Han Tang, the pavilion also obtains agreement to collect half the underground black market’s annual profits 18.
Capital Expansion and Gui Ming’s Assassination
Luo Tian reorganizes the pavilion under Yan Nantian’s management and sends Ding Chunqiu to establish operations in Heavenly Star City. Intelligence and assassination remain its designated focus 20 21.
First Prince Murong Yi uses the black market to commission the assassination of Gui Ming, the Ghost King Sect’s Grand Elder, as a test of the pavilion’s strength. Han Tang accepts a price of eight million low-grade spirit stones and an upper-grade profound-rank cultivation method or martial skill, with a one-month deadline 18.
After the Ghost King Sect hires the Blood Kill Organization against the pavilion, Luo Tian orders retaliatory operations. Han Tang and Lü Baichuan ambush and kill Gui Ming in the Gloomy Shadow Mountain Range, taking his head. The operation also serves Luo Tian’s effort to deepen suspicion and conflict between the Ghost King Sect and Falling Rosy Clouds Sect 30 33.
Defeat of the Three-Force Alliance
The Ghost King Sect, Falling Rosy Clouds Sect, and Blood Kill Organization assemble a joint force to destroy the pavilion. Forewarned by its intelligence network, Luo Tian prepares its senior fighters and orders assassins to ambush enemy disciples outside the base 36 38 39.
During the battle, Yan Nantian reveals his genuine early Reincarnation Realm cultivation. He kills Ancestor Guixuan despite the latter temporarily reaching mid Reincarnation through Netherworld Transformation, then catches and kills the fleeing Qi Tianlong. Liu Ran commits suicide, and Luo Tian rejects the Blood Lord’s surrender before ordering the remaining attackers eliminated 42 43.
Territorial Consolidation
Following the victory, Luo Tian orders Yan Nantian to destroy the remaining Ghost King Sect and secure its resources. The pavilion claims the sect’s grounds: Luo Tian designates them as its new headquarters, while a later public announcement describes them as a branch pavilion 45 47 48.
The surviving Blood Kill Organization members subsequently seek protection and surrender. Their personnel, assets, and intelligence archives are incorporated into the pavilion. Meanwhile, business at the Heavenly Star City base expands, and the pavilion’s reputation surpasses that of its former rival 48.
Luo Tian next prioritizes taking over the Heavenly Star Dynasty. Fu Hongxue and Bi Yiren join that effort, while Yuan Tiangang is sent beyond the dynasty to establish a separate faction without exposing its connection to the Shadow Pavilion 49 50.
