History

Conflict over the Heavenly Wolf Gang

The Heavenly Wolf Gang operated in Fengluo City under the Ghost King Sect’s protection. When the Six Sword Slaves attacked its headquarters, gang leader Xiong Tian invoked that backing, but Zhen Gang killed him regardless. The Shadow Pavilion then seized the gang’s holdings 7 8.

The sect sent Fifth Elder Yin Tiankui, several deacon elders, and disciples to destroy the Shadow Pavilion in retaliation. Yin Tiankui publicly declared the gang’s destruction a provocation against the sect and attempted to capture Luo Tian. Han Tang intercepted him, while the other Ghost King Sect elders fought Lü Baichuan 14 15.

The expedition was annihilated. Luo Tian broke the elders’ joint formation and killed one elder; Lü Baichuan killed the others with Seven Star Needles. Han Tang pierced Yin Tiankui’s heart, and the Shadow Pavilion’s remaining fighters killed the accompanying disciples 15.

Assassination Plans and Sun Qi’s Death

After receiving news of the defeat, Qi Tianlong convened the elders. Grand Elder Gui Ming urged caution: the Shadow Pavilion’s reserves were unknown, and heavy losses could invite attacks from the Falling Rosy Clouds Sect or the imperial family. The leadership instead agreed to hire the Blood Kill Organization secretly to assassinate Shadow Pavilion leaders and test its strength 17.

A second dispute began when Sun Qi and other disciples attempted to rob Luo Tian after he killed a Twin-Horned Poison Crocodile Beast. Luo Tian killed the entire group using the Falling Rosy Clouds Sword Art, intending to implicate the Falling Rosy Clouds Sect 26.

Alerted by Sun Qi’s shattered soul jade, Qi Tianlong sent Gui Ming to investigate. Gui Ming reconstructed fragments of the killings through the Image Retention Technique and recognized the sword art. Qi Tianlong subsequently confronted Falling Rosy Clouds Sect Master Liu Ran; their fight ended without a victor, and Qi Tianlong demanded that the murderer be surrendered within three days 27 28.

The sect publicized a bounty offering a mid-grade Profound-tier cultivation method, one million low-grade spirit stones, and admission as an inner disciple for useful information. Disciples were instructed to report sightings rather than confront the killer themselves 29.

Gui Ming’s Assassination

Qi Tianlong ordered his disciples to kill Falling Rosy Clouds Sect members on sight. Despite this hostility, Gui Ming and the rival sect’s grand elder, Lin Ye, agreed to investigate the suspected provocateur, Tian Luo, after fighting to a standstill 31.

Luo Tian responded by sending Han Tang and Lü Baichuan to assassinate Gui Ming. They killed him and the accompanying Ghost King Sect members, then removed his head to claim the black-market reward. Because the Falling Rosy Clouds Sect’s investigators survived unharmed, suspicion initially fell on them 33.

Qi Tianlong personally examined the scene and connected the poisoned needles in Gui Ming’s body with the Shadow Pavilion’s earlier methods. He concluded that the Shadow Pavilion was responsible, while suspecting cooperation between it and the Falling Rosy Clouds Sect 34.

Three-Force Assault

Qi Tianlong sought Ancestor Guixuan’s support for war. Guixuan ordered the sect’s disciples recalled and preparations made to destroy the Shadow Pavilion. He also instructed Qi Tianlong to test the Falling Rosy Clouds Sect’s allegiance by demanding its participation 35.

Threatened with war if he refused, Liu Ran agreed to join the campaign. The Ghost King Sect, Falling Rosy Clouds Sect, and Blood Kill Organization assembled at Fengluo City and surrounded the Shadow Pavilion’s base 36 39.

During the battle, Tianshan Tonglao initially overpowered Guixuan. His Netherworld Transformation briefly reversed their matchup, allowing him to injure her, but Yan Nantian intervened and killed him with Divine Sword Art. Qi Tianlong attempted to flee after the ancestor’s death; Yan Nantian caught and killed him 40 42 43.

Destruction

With the sect’s principal fighters dead, Luo Tian ordered Yan Nantian to eliminate its remaining members and seize its resources. Ding Chunqiu’s assassins surrounded the headquarters and killed those attempting to escape 45 47.

Yan Nantian shattered the sect-protecting formation with a single sword strike. The Shadow Pavilion then killed everyone remaining inside, buried the bodies, collected the resources, and began repairing the grounds for use as its temporary headquarters 47.

Organization and Members

The sect maintained an ancestor, sect master, ranked elders, deacon elders, stewards, and several disciple categories. Its reputation had been established over centuries within the Heavenly Star Dynasty 13 14 17 27.
