Shen Heng and Qin Yu tried to destroy a Calamity Beast gathering place as the beasts attacked the base and disrupted its evacuation. The Mountain of Truth’s destruction expelled people and beasts from the Plateau Erosion Zone, while Shen Heng remained missing and later awoke beneath an unfamiliar sky.

• Shen Heng tracked the Calamity Beasts’ movements and concluded they were heading toward the base, prompting Zhou Zhenguo to order preparations and investigations.
• Zhang Weijun ordered an evacuation when four sixth-tier Calamity Beasts converged on the base, but the beasts neutralized the nuclear weapons and Li Daoyi stayed behind to protect the retreating soldiers.
• Shen Heng and Qin Yu reached the Mountain of Truth, where Qin Yu drew the Bronze Skull Beast away so Shen Heng could plant a nuclear bomb at the portal in the summit hall.

• Zhang Weijun and Wang Yuanshan suspected Shen Heng and Qin Yu’s mission had caused the expulsion, but Li Daoyi noted that both were still missing and Yan Yu warned that those displaced through the Light Gate might not return.

After being transported into the palace’s distorted spaces, Shen Heng searched for a way out while rescuing scattered soldiers and organizing new outposts. Months later, he was still exploring as he reunited with Qin Yu and learned that she had found no escape route either.

• Shen Heng confirmed that the distorted space suppressed Origin Power, hunted Calamity Beasts, and learned that heavy Origin Power use could trigger Distortion.
• Shen Heng reunited with scattered soldiers, established a refuge city, and discovered a portal leading to a volcanic space before setting out to search for an exit.
• Shen Heng rescued Xu Ruiyu’s group from a Ridged Beast and an approaching Azure Feather Bird, then assigned Xu Ruiyu to organize a new outpost.
• Shen Heng continued rescuing survivors, including Lin Yao and Zhao Lei, from Calamity Beasts, and escorted them to a stronghold before resuming his search.
• Over the next two months, Shen Heng explored more than twenty spaces, gathered Origin Crystals, and cultivated toward the sixth tier.
• Qin Yu reunited with Yu Yanhui and Lin Zhaoran while they evaded a sixth-tier Bronze Skull Beast, and told them she had found no way out.

Lin Zhaoran’s group evaded the Bronze Skull Beast until Shen Heng arrived and killed it, then Shen Heng and Qin Yu began tracing the strongest distortion in search of an exit. Meanwhile, Lü Wenrui discovered a portal leading to a grassland and white palace, and Han Ling’s group set out toward it.

• Lin Zhaoran led the evacuation while Qin Yu and Yu Yanhui laid misleading trails, and the Bronze Skull Beast pursued them toward a portal.
• Qin Yu concealed the soldiers from the Bronze Skull Beast, but Lin Zhaoran prepared to delay it when the beast resumed its pursuit.
• Shen Heng emerged from the portal, sent the soldiers onward, and fought the Bronze Skull Beast until he killed it and took its Origin Crystal.
• Shen Heng told Lin Zhaoran to gather warriors in a nearby city and set out with Qin Yu to search for an exit by tracking extreme distortion and order.
• Qin Yu explained that distortion varied across locations and over time, and Shen Heng proposed searching connected spaces by measuring which had the greatest distortion.
• Lü Wenrui stumbled into a suddenly appearing portal, explored the other side, and returned to report that he had found a large building.
• Han Ling led the group through the portal after Wang Hu and Lü Wenrui confirmed it was safe, and they emerged on a grassland facing a white palace.
• Han Ling judged the palace their best chance of finding a way out and led the group toward it despite the sluggish Origin Power and Huang Jun’s concern.

Shen Heng captured the Two-Horned Lizard, learned more about the Calamity Beasts, and searched the distorted spaces with Qin Yu. Han Ling led an escape from the Bone-Ring Beasts’ enclosure, while Shen Heng’s group reached a white palace and faced an approaching Wind-Chasing Beast.

• The Two-Horned Lizard asked Shen Heng to spare it and offered information about the Ruins Realm, while Shen Heng kept it alive for questioning and made it help Stone travel.
• Stone explained that Han Ling had protected it, and Shen Heng praised Stone’s loyalty while ordering it to cultivate as it healed.
• Han Ling learned that the Bone-Ring Beasts planned to slaughter the captives and coordinated an escape with Wang Hu, Zhou Xuan, Huang Jun, and the Hook-Tailed Golden Suanni.
• Han Ling’s group charged the enclosure’s gate as the Calamity Beasts began a riot, but the Hook-Tailed Golden Suanni realized the humans had used an explosion to distract the guards.
• White Spine ordered the Bone-Ring Beasts to suppress the uprising, while Han Ling and her companions fled through the gray mist and Han Ling awoke in a vast corridor with only two companions beside her.
