Your wife felt really good to kill
"Swift Wind, Ten Thousand Shadows" was divided into several levels: ten steps, a hundred steps, a thousand steps, and ten thousand steps.
The names were quite vivid.
Minor mastery meant taking ten steps in an instant, launching surprise attacks and killing within those ten steps.
After familiarizing himself with "Swift Wind, Ten Thousand Shadows,"
Lin Tian walked out of his room.
He saw the other people aboard the immortal ship leaving.
These people had probably been arranged by Su Nan beforehand.
Lin Tian did not particularly care what Su Nan was doing.
He happened to encounter a passing attendant.
"Do you have a cultivation room aboard?"
The attendant glanced at Lin Tian in awe and hurriedly said:
"Yes. Young master, please follow me."
They went all the way down to another deck.
There was an extremely spacious cabin, and Lin Tian began practicing "Swift Wind, Ten Thousand Shadows" there.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!
Inside the cabin, Lin Tian flickered about, becoming streaks of afterimages.
"No, although I have tremendous strength and can produce afterimages with an instantaneous burst, that's completely different from Swift Wind, Ten Thousand Shadows."
Lin Tian pondered, then opened "Swift Wind, Ten Thousand Shadows" and began studying it.
"I understand now. The key lies in the word 'wind.'"
Lin Tian laughed, stood up, and began practicing.
Time trickled by.
It continued until the next day.
The attendant spoke cautiously from outside the cabin:
"Young Master Wenren, Young Master Su sent me to find you."
"All right."
Lin Tian shook his body, and under the violent vibration,
the sweat on his body instantly dispersed.
When he walked out of the cabin, Su Nan, Ziwei, and the others were already at the very front of the deck.
"Brother Wenren, you truly are diligent."
Su Nan offered a word of praise.
Yu Xiu and Li Xin watched Lin Tian for a while, seemingly casually.
[Ziwei: Zhenwu, are you a sword cultivator or a body cultivator?]
Ziwei's message came through in his mind.
[Zhenwu: Is there a problem with that?]
Ziwei frowned and hurriedly replied:
[Ziwei: Of course there is. There are many cultivation systems, but below the Soul Palace Realm, only body cultivators can train day and night without restraint. The others, such as sword cultivators, sorcerers, and formation masters, may be very powerful, but their bodies ultimately have limits. Training night and day really can cause sudden death. Of course, once you're strong enough to reach the Soul Palace Realm, you no longer need to worry about any of this.]
Lin Tian instantly understood.
Why he could hear Ling Qiuzi's breathing as she slept every day.
At the time, he had even wondered why Ling Qiuzi was content to eat through her resources and wait for death.
As it turned out, he alone was so strange.
When Ziwei saw that Lin Tian had not replied, he continued:
[Ziwei: Besides, formation masters like me don't have strong physiques. We rely heavily on sleep, because sleeping is the cheapest way to recover our stamina. Sorcerers depend on it even more than we do, practically. It's strange, really-sword cultivators generally don't have strong physiques.]
A thought stirred in Lin Tian's mind, and he asked:
[Zhenwu: Then why don't people like sorcerers temper their bodies while practicing their own cultivation methods?]
A helpless smile appeared on Ziwei's face, and he gave Lin Tian a very odd look.
[Ziwei: Zhenwu, you're a sword cultivator. You should know this. The way of the sword has had no end throughout the ages. If a sword cultivator wants to reach its pinnacle, they can only specialize in that one path. If they practice body tempering as well, the vast majority perish halfway.]
Ziwei looked at Lin Tian, opened his mouth, and stuck out his tongue, miming dropping dead.
Was that how it worked?
Lin Tian's heart tightened.
He had no master and relied solely on killing to cultivate.
He knew nothing of these matters.
"We're here."
Su Nan's quiet voice rang out.
Everyone gazed into the distance.
Far away, within several thousand miles,
three immortal ships of different shapes were gathered together.
Above the ground, already detached from the land,
an immortal mountain appeared before them.
Brilliant rosy light rose from the immortal mountain.
Golden characters could be seen flickering in and out of sight all around it.
They were exceedingly intricate and did not resemble the writing used in the immortal nation.
Instead, they should have been ancient sacred script.
The immortal ship continued approaching, drawing closer and closer to the other three ships.
Everyone could see figures shifting about at the bow of each immortal ship.
"Brother!"
A pretty woman in white palace attire, graceful and regal, waved exuberantly at Su Nan in greeting.
The other man and woman merely gave Su Nan an indifferent glance.
"Little sister."
Su Nan smiled and greeted the lovely woman.
He then introduced them to Lin Tian and the others:
"The ones standing at the very front of each bow are my younger siblings. The one greeting me is my youngest sister, Su Rou."
A breeze swept past with a soft rustling.
Dressed in white, Lin Tian stood with an unhurried bearing.
Though his face was not as handsome as his original appearance, his presence remained outstanding.
His gaze swept across the other three immortal ships.
Behind each of the other three Su Clan siblings stood roughly seven or eight people.
Only Su Nan had lost five slots right at the start.
Among those standing behind the Su Clan's eldest young lady, Lin Tian spotted a familiar figure.
Qi Liancheng.
At that moment, Qi Liancheng was saying something to the Su Clan's eldest young lady.
The Su Clan's eldest young lady looked at Lin Tian, her gaze calm.
She merely glanced at him indifferently before looking away without a care.
She wore red, and beneath her slender, fair neck,
rounded, snow-white curves lay partly concealed.
Judging by looks alone, the Su Clan's eldest young lady was indeed stunning.
And beside the Su Clan's eldest young lady,
Qi Liancheng grinned viciously and drew a finger across his throat at Lin Tian.
Su Rou's gaze swept over Lin Tian and the others, settling on the Heavenly Sword in his hand.
"Hey, sell me your sword. I happen to need a fire poker."
Lin Tian gave Su Rou an indifferent glance and said nothing.
Su Rou narrowed her phoenix eyes, then sneered and said to the people behind her:
"If you kill him, remember to leave his sword for me."
Behind Su Rou, several people nodded.
They did not find what Su Rou had said particularly strange.
After all, it was only killing a person.
Su Rou looked haughtily at Lin Tian before shifting her gaze to Su Nan.
"This hypocrite again. The sight of you makes me sick. Once we enter the Fire Nether Forbidden Land, I'll tear your head off myself."
At this, Ziwei's mouth fell open.
"What kind of freaks are these? Does your family think of nothing but killing one another?"
Su Nan gave a bitter laugh:
"Their minds really don't work properly sometimes."
Su Nan and Ziwei had not spoken loudly.
But everyone around them was a martial cultivator with extremely keen senses.
Su Rou and the others all looked at Su Nan with hostility.
"Su Nan, are you still going to keep up your false pretenses even now?"
Su Zheshan, the Su Clan's eldest young lady, spoke indifferently.
Meanwhile, the Su Clan's second young master looked viciously at Su Nan and said:
"Su Nan, where is my wife?"
Su Nan's expression stiffened. With a thought, he brought out the corpse of an exquisitely beautiful woman.
"My sister-in-law had disguised herself. I didn't recognize her at the time, or I would never have killed her."
As Su Nan spoke, the Su Clan's second young master's face instantly darkened.
His face twisted, veins bulging on his neck as he practically forced the words through his teeth.
"Who. Killed. Her?"
Su Nan frowned and waved a hand, tossing the beautiful woman's corpse to his younger brother.
"I killed her."
Su Nan spoke quietly.
"You're courting death!"
The Su Clan's second young master cradled his wife's corpse and snarled.
"Ha-ha."
An effeminate laugh rang out.
"Su Nan, your cultivation is lacking, but you're quite good at buying people's loyalty. Will it do you any good, though? You only have five people in total."
Qi Liancheng laughed darkly and pointed at Lin Tian:
"Young Master Su Ming, that sword cultivator in white is the one who killed your wife."
All at once, everyone looked at Lin Tian.
"It was you?"
Uncontrollable fury flashed in Su Ming's eyes, like a raging beast.
Violent fluctuations of Spiritual Qi blazed around him, his entire being brimming with killing intent.
Lin Tian gave Su Ming an indifferent glance, his robes fluttering in the breeze.
"I really didn't know she was your wife at the time."
Lin Tian spoke, his eyelids lowered.
"Tch, another coward."
Su Rou gave Lin Tian a contemptuous look.
"However."
Lin Tian looked at Su Ming, an exceedingly cruel smile appearing at the corners of his mouth.
"Your wife felt really good to kill."
An uproar erupted!
Lin Tian's words stirred up a thousand waves.
Everyone stared at him in astonishment.
"I'll tear your corpse into ten thousand pieces."
Su Ming stared at Lin Tian with savage eyes.
"Ha-ha-ha, Young Master Su Ming, count me in."
Qi Liancheng spoke with a cold laugh.
