His feud with the Feng Clan included a three-year pursuit by an elder carrying its Extreme Dao Emperor Weapon. Before his Chaos Body reached Great Accomplishment, he caught the clan’s Emperor Weapon barehanded. He ultimately attained the Dao through his own strength rather than the conventional route supported by heaven’s mandate 1 2 3 16.

Personality

Lu Qingyun rejects the idea that becoming an emperor obliges him to protect the universe. Having spent eight hundred years persecuted by its inhabitants and suppressed by its laws, he sees no reason to repay that hostility with unconditional service. His priorities are survival, cultivation, and the growth of his forbidden zone 1 3.

His early poverty leaves him acquisitive even after obtaining immense resources. He attends the Black Emperor’s banquet partly for free medicine that offers him little practical benefit, then steals the emperor’s lotus dais for study. He also remembers old grudges and enjoys provoking former enemies while pretending to be innocent 15 16 17.

Despite his overwhelming strength, he is cautious about the forbidden zones’ collective forces and ancient reserves. His interventions are selective and often reward-driven: he stops an attack on Chaotic God Mountain for a system mission, then declines to defend other forbidden zones when no reward is offered 1 30 33 36.
