Travels

The following morning.

Teiichi slowly opened his eyes from the bed.

The two spent some more time at the beach last night.

To avoid the restaurants in town closing down, we returned early.

After getting up and packing his luggage, Teiichi arrived at the door of Kanae's room next door.

After knocking on the door and calling Kanae, the two went out and had breakfast together before saying goodbye.

Kanae embarked on her journey back to the Butterfly Mansion.

Teiichi also set off on his journey.

This took two years to begin with.

For the past two years, Teiichi has only been able to return to the Butterfly Mansion to celebrate the Lunar New Year with everyone.

The rest of the time he was out exploring.

In two years, Teiichi's footsteps have traversed most of Japan's territory.

I saw a lot of things, but also a little.

This is largely because it is, after all, a country, spanning more than twenty degrees of latitude, and has different climates.

It is less because, compared to the vast territory of China, it does indeed lack much scenic beauty.

But it is precisely for this reason that Teiichi was able to traverse most of this country's territory on foot.

I looked down at the vast, turbulent sea, and I looked up at the boundless starry sky.

I've climbed the famous Mount Fuji and drunk from the unnamed streams in the mountains.

I've seen rural areas that still retain their ancient charm, and I've also seen cities that are as magnificent as those of modern times.

In the summer, I've traveled to the southeast and experienced incredibly powerful typhoons; and in the winter, I've visited Hokkaido to see snowscapes that are found all over the world.

Wherever he goes, Teiichi will stay for a period of time, more or less.

The aim is to experience the local customs and culture, and also to visit local attractions and streets.

Sometimes, when Dingyi hears from the locals that there will be an event in a while, he will even Teiichi a special trip back to participate.

As Teiichi encountered more and more people, things, and events, he felt his heart becoming calmer.

During the two years he was away from home, Teiichi still maintained communication with Kasugai Crow and Kanae.

However, the frequency of delivery has been changed from once a week in Kyushu Island to once a month.

Because Teiichi's current itinerary is unpredictable, he might be in this village or town today, but in a few days he might be in another village or town.

Sometimes Teiichi you don't know where you're going next.

Usually, I'll go wherever I feel like going, or if I hear there's some kind of celebration or event, I'll go there.

For this reason, only White Feather could deliver the letters to everyone at the Butterfly Mansion; the Butterfly Mansion's Kasugai Crow could no longer help deliver them.

And after the Kasugai Crow was no longer in service, White Feather also made it clear.

It came out to have fun, not to be used as a trustworthy person.

Therefore, the frequency of letters had to be changed to one letter per month.

Through their correspondence, their relationship remained strong.

Every year when I go back home for Chinese New Year and see them, I feel a heartfelt joy.

And so, Teiichi traveled peacefully for two years.

Until this day.

"Lord Tengen, come quick! We have the latest rouge here!"

A familiar name reached his ears, Teiichi looked in the direction from which the voice came.

In the distance, Tengen Uzui's tall figure stood in front of a shop, surrounded by his three wives.

They are Suma, who has long black hair and is somewhat timid and prone to crying; Suma, who has golden Makio at the front; and Hinatsuru, who has a high ponytail and a smooth forehead.

At this moment, Makio was scolding Suma, who had just made the suggestion, "Suma, we already bought rouge at that shop!"

Suma replied, "Hey, hey, hey! But this shop has the latest model! Makio, don't you want to try it?"

"We can buy this later, it's not going to run away! Let's use up what we buy first, this isn't how you live!" Makio shook her head, although she wanted to try it, she still refused.

Upon hearing this, Suma nodded in disappointment. "Eh? Is that so? Alright then!"

Tengen Uzui laughed loudly, "Hahaha! What are you worried about? If you like it, let's go buy it together!"

The person in front of me appeared to be over 1.8 meters tall, with an upright posture, a straight nose that made him look very energetic, thick eyebrows that were still delicate, and a steady demeanor like distant mountains. His eyes were deep and bright, revealing a sense of tranquility.

The familiar yet somewhat unfamiliar face startled Tengen Uzui, who quickly tried to match it with the image in his mind.

Tengen Uzui said, "Hahaha! Oh! Isn't this Kato? It's been two years, and you've become quite handsome since then!"

Looking at Tengen Uzui, who had his hair down and was dressed in casual home clothes, Teiichi chuckled.

"You look much cooler in this outfit than I did when I saw you in the team before!"

"Hahaha!" Upon hearing Teiichi's praise, Tengen Uzui burst into laughter, "You've got good taste, kid! I am the God of Magnificent Celebrations!"

"Oh, by the way, let me introduce you to my wife!"

After saying that, Uzui introduced Teiichi and his three wives to each other.

Teiichi and Tengen Uzui's three wives nodded in greeting.

After the two got to know each other, Tengen Uzui asked a question.

We haven't seen you since you left the team. What have you been doing these past two years?

"Over the past two years, I've traveled extensively throughout this land, seeing different places and experiencing different scenery!"

Tengen Uzui turned to his wife and said, "Hinatsuru, Makio, Suma, I'm sorry, I can't go shopping with you today. I have to entertain important guests!"

"Of course, Lord Tengen. Then please invite Lord Kato to our home as a guest!" Hinatsuru replied.

"Hahaha~ That's only right, Kato, let's go to my house! We're not leaving until we're drunk!" Tengen Uzui called out to Teiichi.
