Loose ends
The tip of the spear was glowing faintly, proving that Roa had entered the reincarnation stage. Although this thing could only provide a general location, it was more than enough to find him if one was fast enough.
Bai Mo frowned slightly. Seeing this, Arcueid asked with some confusion, "Bai Mo? What's wrong? Is this thing broken?"
Bai Mo shook his head and said, "No, the location this thing gives is different from the location in the spider-like Dead Apostle's memory. Maybe they are two different nests. Another possibility is that Vlov has already used this spear tip before. Perhaps the enemy already knew about it and used this thing to lure us into a trap they carefully set."
Upon hearing this, Ciel stepped forward to take the spear tip, saying, "In that case, I'll take this. Even if it's a trap, the opponent will leave clues, won't they?"
With a flick of his wrist, Bai Mo's spear tip vanished. Bai Mo could not possibly condone Ciel's willingness to risk his life. He lightly tapped Ciel's forehead with his finger, and a memory flooded into Ciel's mind.
"No need. Go check the location of this spider's brain. As for Roa, leave it to me." Seeing that Ciel still wanted to say something, Bai Mo smiled and said, "That's an order, Ciel, the Executor."
Hearing this boss-like tone, Ciel was immediately furious and muttered, "Macho... What are you planning to do, Arcueid? You're in such poor health, you can't be of any help at all."
"I don't need your words. I'll be much better recovered by today, more than enough to beat you down, Ciel," Arcueid replied coldly. Bai Mo, standing to the side, glanced at her discreetly upon hearing this.
Afterwards, Ciel quickly went to the Church to prepare weapons, and without stopping, prepared to explore the coordinates given by Bai Mo. Meanwhile, Bai Mo also needed to take care of some things, some matters that needed to be resolved before the final battle.
"Aren't you going, Arcueid?"
In response to Bai Mo's question, Arcueid shook her head and said, "Forget it. Although I don't like that girl, I don't want to see her end up like this. Besides, we still have some time. Let's meet at the movie theater."
Bai Mo narrowed his eyes slightly, looking at Arcueid seemed to have something on his mind, and then nodded.
On the hotel's top floor, Altrouge Brunestud seemed to have completely made herself at home, watching television while popping a macaron into her mouth. As a hybrid of True Ancestor and Dead Apostle, she could eat these foods, though they were utterly useless to her.
Two figures entered the room without making a sound; they were her two attendants, the Black Knight Strout and the White Knight Brad.
"My lord, we are so sorry we are late. Please leave quickly." Strout immediately knelt on one knee. Brad glanced around but didn't see Cathy Palug. He asked, "Where is that Cathy Palug?"
"Let's go find something to eat; after all, it's badly injured." Altrouge Brunestud stretched as the servant approached, seemingly having no intention of moving.
Strout frowned and asked, "My lord, has some kind of restriction been placed on you?"
"Yes, it's Magnetic Field Heavenly Lock."
However, it wasn't Altrouge Brunestud who answered him, but rather Bai Mo, who had somehow appeared behind him. Strout froze instantly, his gaze never leaving Altrouge Brunestud; he wouldn't move unless his master gave the order.
Brad, however, thought differently. Unlike Strout, who could escape time and not die, fighting this monster now would be fatal.
Damn it, Cathy Palug isn't here at such a crucial time. I might be the first one to die if a fight breaks out. His gaze swept around, and then he spotted the White Beast somewhere in the distance.
Brad breathed a sigh of relief. Hiding to prepare for a fatal blow? Cathy Palug, you cunning cat demon.
Upon seeing Bai Mo, Altrouge Brunestud jumped off the bed and smiled at Bai Mo, saying, "So, Mr. Bai Mo, what's your decision?"
"Roa's reincarnation is almost over, so I have no interest in asking why you know anything about me." Bai Mo's answer was clearly not what Altrouge Brunestud wanted, and the black-haired princess pouted.
"Please don't give irrelevant answers, but if you really care, join me and I'll tell you everything, how about it?"
"Not interested."
Bai Mo's voice remained icy. Brad's hand was already on the hilt of his sword, his mind racing, trying to figure out how to create an opportunity for Cathy Palug to launch a surprise attack.
"Oh, so you've come to kill me?" Altrouge Brunestud asked, tilting her head. Bai Mo didn't answer, but walked step by step toward Altrouge Brunestud, and then slowly raised the arms that had easily beheaded Vlov.
Now! Brad immediately activated the forbidden spell, Reality Marble: Ghost Army! Instantly, the world was eroded, and a surging Dahai appeared in the city, seemingly about to engulf Bai Mo.
However, the instant the Reality Marble was established, a surging sensation like the Dahai also appeared on Bai Mo's body, and the Reality Marble was torn to shreds in an instant.
This was the perfect opportunity. The Reality Marble was enough to conceal the prelude to Cathy Palug's attack, Brad could almost see Cathy Palug biting off the enemy's head.
However, nothing happened.
Cathy Palug remained standing still, looking at Brad with a puzzled expression.
"Fu?" (Clown, what are you doing?)
"Cathy Palug, what are you doing? Why are you just staring!"
Then, to Brad's astonishment, Cathy Palug silently walked over to Bai Mo's side and even rubbed her tail against his trouser leg.
Brad was like a warrior who had been the first to scale the city walls. After a fierce battle, he discovered that his allies not only failed to provide support but had also withdrawn. He was immediately struck by a sense of helplessness, as if he had been betrayed.
Ignoring this meaningless farce, Bai Mo stretched out his hand and shot a beam of light directly at Altrouge Brunestud's head, followed by a burst of light. However, the dismembered state of Altrouge Brunestud did not appear before everyone's eyes.
Feeling her own body, Altrouge Brunestud discovered that the Magnetic Field Heavenly Lock on her body had been unlocked.
"I should have killed you, but now, it's better for humanity to live. I don't know what kind of deal you made with Roa, but that's irrelevant to me. But I advise you: if you want to get involved in this mess, be prepared to drown."
After completing this task, Bai Mo prepared to leave. This world was different from the world Bai Mo had been in before. Humans and the Dead Apostle were hostile to each other. The Dead Apostle Apostles were divided into two factions: one led by Altrouge Brunestud, and the other led by the White Wing Duke, who believed that the Dead Apostle were a more noble species.
Rather than killing Altrouge Brunestud now and creating a single voice within the Dead Apostle, it would be more beneficial for humanity to keep her alive.
The Dead Apostle have existed for thousands of years, and their influence in this world is deeply entrenched, making them a long-term threat. However, after resolving the issue with Roa, Bai Mo will be leaving and won't have time to completely eliminate these creatures.
"No, I'll still get involved, Mr. Bai Mo. Just like you, I have things I need to do, so I'm sorry, I won't just go home obediently." Just as Bai Mo was about to leave, Altrouge Brunestud said this out of the blue.
"My God! What are you doing?!" Brad was about to yell out loud, barely able to contain himself. Couldn't he just let this guy go? Did he have to use that to force him to do something like that?
"If you're already prepared, then what reason do I have to stop you?"
Bai Mo turned to leave, but at that moment, Altrouge Brunestud's words made him pause. She spoke in a nightingale's voice, "Roa promised me that if his experiment succeeds, according to you, he might be able to obtain the power of 800,000 horses."
Unaware that this information had been leaked now, Bai Mo frowned and turned to stare at Altrouge Brunestud, asking, "You told Arcueid?"
Altrouge Brunestud nodded, then Bai Mo sighed softly and vanished from the spot. He finally understood why that idiot Arcueid had been acting strangely.
Watching Bai Mo disappear in an instant, Brad breathed a deep sigh of relief. The joy of surviving a close call made him somewhat giddy. He asked Altrouge Brunestud, "Master, you really scared me to death, you..."
Before he could finish speaking, Brad covered his mouth with his hand. The reason was simple: he saw Cathy Palug walking behind Altrouge Brunestud, her cheeks seemingly chewing on something.
Cathy Palug's sustenance is jealousy and regret, which means...
Altrouge Brunestud clenched her small hands into fists, her knuckles cracking, and muttered to herself, "Damn it, why is it always Arcueid..."
