No Trace Left
Inside the tower, on the walls that were originally carved with beautiful paintings and poems, someone had painted a large "Demolish" character in red paint. Ishtar's brows were almost twisted into a pretzel as she stretched out her claws and scraped off a layer of soil and stone from the wall.
If it were outside, out of sight, out of mind, it would be fine, but it seems to be Gilgamesh's revenge, as this character is located in Ishtar's bedroom.
"That damn guy..."
Meanwhile, Sajyou Manaka's attention was completely elsewhere. She was equally furious, her eyes fixed on the two people on the sofa. There, Arcueid had her arms around Bai Mo's, tearing off a piece of his shirt to reveal his muscular shoulders.
In Manaka's fantasy, the shoulder she could only lean on after their passionate lovemaking was now being "enjoyed" by Arcueid. Just moments ago, Arcueid, using the excuse that Crimson Moon had interrupted her last blood-drinking session, demanded that Bai Mo let her drink blood again.
Arcueid slowly sucked on her blood, glancing occasionally at Sajyou Manaka beside her.
In Manaka's eyes, Arcueid's actions were nothing short of an intruder asserting sovereignty—an irreconcilable enmity! Her pupils were devoid of any light; the glimmer of hope that had ignited upon seeing her dream prince seemed to have been swallowed by Arcueid along with her blood.
Seeing Manaka's expression, Arcueid's eyes lit up with a smile. Then, she slightly opened her mouth, allowing Manaka to clearly see her delicate tongue licking her wound.
"Crunch, crunch." The sound of teeth clashing came from Manaka's mouth.
But what good is anger? Faced with the True Ancestor Princess, the Moon UO, nine hundred thousand horsepower, and Arcueid with the Bai Mo's blood-drinking permission, what can she do?
Meanwhile, Bai Mo simply ignored the two of them; his only goal was to find out from Ishtar how Uruk had become like this.
"Alright, Ishtar, forget about that thing. Out of respect for your privacy, I won't ask you why you left Uruk. You know that Magnetic Field Power doesn't belong to this world, so tell me where you got this power from."
With so many magical beasts, it's impossible to have such a sufficient Source of Power. This means that the Magnetic Field Power in this world has been modified. Just like Roa before, by manipulating a single Source of Power, three people can now wield the Magnetic Field Power.
Ishtar still looked somewhat dejected. Sitting on her large, gold-embroidered bed, she said weakly:
"Your score is higher than mine, so why don't you just read my thoughts directly?"
Bai Mo frowned slightly as he looked at Ishtar and said, "Unless I'm certain she's a mortal enemy I must kill or the situation forces me to, I generally don't use my power to read minds. That's very impolite; it's just using power to invade someone's privacy."
But I really need the relevant information right now. If you insist on doing so, then I will grant your wish.
He secretly grumbled to himself. Although he knew these goddesses were incredibly proud, it was still too embarrassing for them to act like this after just one failure.
What Bai Mo didn't know was that Ishtar was only heartbroken over her jewels. When she left, she took the most precious ones, and on the way, she was still saddened that she couldn't take the ones she left in the tower with her.
Now it's all over; the things inside the tower are still there, but the most precious ones are all gone.
Faced with this twist of fate, Ishtar was filled with grief and indignation. What pained her even more was that the person who came to save her was Bai Mo. If she had known that Bai Mo was such a good person, why did she run away in the first place?
Not only did they lose their most valuable gems, but they also received a severe beating.
What am I doing? I really want to go back to yesterday and slap myself twice.
With a deep sigh, Ishtar sat up. Although she felt terrible, since Bai Mo had shown respect for her privacy, wallowing in self-pity was pointless. She began to speak:
"Well, it's uncomfortable to have your inner thoughts spied on."
"Anyone can see your filthy and despicable heart. There's no point in hiding it now, is there?"
A mocking voice came from Manaka, but Ishtar was no longer powerless. She raised her finger, and a power cannon shot straight at Manaka. A magic circle appeared in front of Manaka, but it was destroyed by the Magnetic Field Power in an instant.
Compared to magic, the destructive Magnetic Field Power is far greater, and this world has few ways to deal with this external force. The only option is to counter it with magic of equal strength. However, compared to the enormous burden of magic, those who possess Magnetic Field Power only need to catch their breath.
With a single thought, Bai Mo instantly shattered the power released by Ishtar. He frowned slightly and said:
"Alright, if you two don't get along, hurry up and resolve these problems. Otherwise, you'll probably never see each other again."
Upon hearing Bai Mo's words, the two of them simultaneously snorted coldly. This once again made Bai Mo deeply realize that women really are a lot of trouble.
Ishtar cleared her throat and slowly began to speak:
"Actually... I don't know much about the origin of this power. After all, I was summoned by the priestess when Uruk was in dire straits, so I have no idea when this power appeared."
If we could contact other Sumer deities, we could probably learn more.
Ishtar's slender legs swayed as she seemed lost in thought, and she slowly said:
"At that time, after I was summoned, I went straight to the heavens. Even though the gods had already retreated, it's generally still possible to sense them. But strangely, I couldn't sense any of the gods at all, not even the wind god Enlil or the sun god Utu. They were like... truly dead."
Ishtar described it vividly, and her unease could be felt in her voice. After being summoned, the most familiar place was now teeming with monsters, and none of the familiar gods could be found. One can imagine the unease that must have been in her heart at that time.
Then, her tone shifted, becoming lighter.
"The monsters wouldn't attack me, so I returned to my temple. Just when I was at my wit's end, a strange stone tablet appeared inside my temple."
Upon hearing this, Bai Mo frowned, because he had already been to the Ishtar Temple on Mount Ebih. There, he found not a single stone tablet, let alone a complete brick.
Ishtar continued, "The stone tablet communicated with me, asking if I desired power, in exchange for a portion of my Me and soul. In the end, thanks to my exquisite eloquence and charm, I obtained this power at minimal cost, through the Me of Fertility and a tiny bit of my soul."
