Sacrifice
Beneath the capital city of Rajagriha in Kingdom of Magadha lies a vast underground cavern. At its very center is a massive lingam, an essential object for the worship of Shiva.
The surrounding walls are covered with all sorts of weapons—swords, spears, and hammers—a total of two hundred, all bearing the marks of battle.
Not far away, on a high spot, a man sat with one hand supporting his head, his eyes closed, seemingly taking a nap, or perhaps reminiscing.
Years ago, the man stood here, holding a blood-stained knife. He had just slain a hundred kings, each of whom was a recognized Kshatriya warrior.
"Mahadeva, I offer these Kshatriyas as a sacrifice to you, drink their blood! Look at these weapons, each one of which I slew with my own hands. The entire Daichi, all the kings, tremble at the mere mention of my name, Yao Lian."
Yao Lian spoke, he poured milk onto the linga. With this done, the sacrifice was completely complete. Afterward, Yao Lian met the god.
Holding a trident, with a black snake around his neck like a ghost in the night, he stood there, exuding an imposing aura without even trying. The sacrifice was complete, and the great god who had received the offering naturally came before him, bestowing upon him the blessing he deserved.
"Yao Lian, what blessing do you desire?"
Shiva acted swiftly, which suited Yao Lian's intentions perfectly. Appeasing the gods through extreme asceticism or grand sacrifices in exchange for blessings was an almost inviolable rule.
No god can refuse it.
"Let me become invincible, able to defeat anyone!"
The Yao Lian asked Shiva for power, but Shiva shook his head and said, "No one is invincible forever; even Indra, the king of the gods, has been defeated several times."
"Then grant me eternal life!"
There is no absolute immortality in this world; even Brahma will one day die. If you are obsessed with immortality, then you might as well choose a way to die.
Upon hearing this, Yao Lian laughed loudly, "Hahaha, I know about Taraka, who was killed by your son, but I will not allow anyone to kill me. Shiva, I have decided on my blessing."
Grant me the blessing that, if ' Yao Lian ' is 'alive,' every part of my body will never perish!
Upon hearing this, Shiva was somewhat puzzled, but still bestowed the blessing upon Yao Lian. The moment the blessing landed, Yao Lian laughed loudly, then took out a knife and cleaved himself in two.
He was born from a gift of fruit from an immortal, and was born split in two. But at this moment, he tore himself in two, and at the same time, he began to activate the Magnetic Field Power.
Magnetic Field Rotation -- Cellular Regeneration!
Shiva watched helplessly Yao Lian's body, torn apart, began to regenerate under the power of Cellular Regeneration. Bones grew, flesh wove together, and soon, amidst his agonizing roars, the two Yao Lian appeared before Shiva.
A double burst of laughter echoed within the stone chamber. Yao Lian had indeed not achieved immortality, but in a sense, he was also immortal.
Back in the present, Yao Lian opened his eyes. A seductive Rakshasa woman entered and said, "Your Majesty, we are still short of offerings for the third sacrifice. I've heard that the princes in Hastinapura have launched an attack on the Kingdom of Panchala. Should we take this opportunity to capture that blind man?"
Yao Lian spat disdainfully, directly onto the Rakshasa woman.
"Dhritarashtra? That piece of trash is not worthy of being a sacrifice. Using him as a sacrifice would only pollute the environment. My goal is a silver lion, but as long as Dhritarashtra and those guys are alive, Bhishma will not die."
And that Dhritarashtra, protected by Bhishma, is like a calf protected by a bull.
Yao Lian suddenly turned around, smiled at Rakshasa, and said, "Go to the Kingdom of Panchala and capture all one hundred and five princes."
Therefore, Bhishma had no choice but to leave Hastinapura and take action, and at that time, Dhritarashtra was the prey on his plate.
Upon hearing this, the Rakshasa woman revealed a seductive smile. Then, she reached out and wiped away the saliva that Yao Lian had left on her lower abdomen. After wiping her lips with her fingers, she accepted the order and prepared to leave.
"Etc."
Yao Lian called out to her, "I want that King Drupada from the kingdom of Panchala too!"
Yao Lian clenched his fists, his muscles tensing, and his wicked laughter echoed in the stone chamber. Meanwhile, outside the city, a carriage slowly drove out of the forest.
"Is that Rajagriha, the capital of Kingdom of Magadha? It's really easy to spot." Bai Mo looked at the gold nugget lying among the leaves in front of him. Rajagriha was surrounded by normal buildings, but its center was resplendent in gold.
The Rajagriha was literally built of gold and jade, a testament to its past splendor.
"After all, they've conquered countless kingdoms, so this level of accumulation is normal. Besides, they even have the protection of the God of Great Terror in the forests; they probably already completed their first objective and received Shiva's blessing."
"That would be troublesome. Even Shiva himself sometimes can't handle his own blessings."
Bai Mo shook his head helplessly. The blessings bestowed by these India deities were truly powerful, so powerful that even the person bestowing the blessing couldn't withstand them. The most famous blessing from Shiva is "Ash-Burning Asura" – Vrika.
He pleased Shiva through extremely rigorous ascetic practices. When Shiva appeared to bless him, he asked for a power: anything touched by his right hand would immediately turn to ashes.
Then he immediately turned on him, wanting to use this blessing to kill Shiva, Shiva was thus chased all over the world by him.
Finally, the guy accidentally touched his head with his hand and died from this blessing.
"It seems that to deal with Yao Lian, we first need to figure out what kind of blessing this guy has. Is it similar to a dual clone?"
Who knows?
Based on the previous situation, Kama analyzed the situation, but Bai Mo did not believe that Yao Lian would simply want a clone.
As if suddenly remembering something, Kama leaned closer to Bai Mo and said with a grin, "Do you think it's possible that the Yao Lian chose a way to die? For example, that only a child born to Kama could kill him or something?"
What should we do then?
Kama's restless little hands wrapped around Bai Mo's waist, tracing his V-line like an exploratory sentry.
With a snap, Bai Mo flicked the guy's forehead with his finger, then he said with a slight headache:
"Then you should think carefully about whether you've ever harmed the ancestors of the Yao Lian. How could you possibly ask Shiva for such an absurd blessing? You'd rather be killed by a seven-day-old child."
Kama rubbed his head, stuck out his tongue in dissatisfaction, and muttered, "It's not impossible. I'm already in a formless state right now. According to that guy's understanding, how can something be born from the formless?"
Bai Mo didn't want to continue discussing this terrible topic with Kama, and at the same time, he prayed inwardly that nothing unexpected would happen.
