Two Arrows
Rewinding to a slightly earlier time, when Kama's attack missed, Bai Mo also relayed this information to another person.
At dawn, Karna packed his bags, made thorough preparations, bid farewell to his parents, and headed to the battlefield of Kingdom of Panchala, where he would shine and carve out his own kingdom.
He set off with the princes, during which time it seemed that the Hundred Sons of Dhritarashtra departed ahead of him, while the Pandavas remained nearby, looking rather dejected. Duryodhana seemed to be preparing to claim all the credit for the battle and display his divine prowess in this war, in order to erase the regret he had felt during his martial arts demonstration.
Just then, the Kuaiji Type Zero Core on Karna's chest emitted a flash, and a message was transmitted to Karna. The message was simple:
"Yao Lian is hiding in Hastinapura, ready to make his move at any moment. I'll tell you his location, but there might be a delay."
Upon hearing the news of his master, Karna immediately spurred his horse and galloped to a hilltop, from which he could overlook the entire Hastinapura. However, the Hastinapura had already awakened from its slumber, and many people had already come out.
Karna nocked his bow and aimed his eyes at the location Bai Mo had indicated. Yao Lian had been constantly moving, and Karna was not a power user, but rather someone who had obtained the power bestowed upon him by Brahma through cultivation. He did not possess the perception of Magnetic Field Power or the enhancement of his brain's thinking.
Before he could fire, another arrow whizzed past him. Karna looked down and saw Arjuna. Not only him, but the Pandavas had also rushed over.
"Son of Sudor, what are you trying to do? Why are you aiming your bow and arrows at Hastinapura?"
Arjuna said coldly, holding his longbow; the arrow he had just fired was his warning. Without hesitation, he nocked another arrow and aimed it directly at Karna's head.
The atmosphere suddenly became tense, and Karna dismounted. He looked at Arjuna and thought of a solution.
Seeing this, Yudhishthira, the eldest of the Pandavas, dismounted and gave Arjuna not to act rashly. He then dismounted and asked Karna:
"Warrior Karna, I expect you to give me a reason why you are pointing arrows at Hastinapura."
"Yudhishthira... Prince, there are enemies in Hastinapura."
Karna's tone was resolute, Bhima frowned slightly, saying, "If there were enemies, why didn't you inform the guards beforehand? Did you leave Hastinapura and then receive information about the enemy?"
Karna, you've been under our watchful eyes ever since you left home.
Karna retrieved the computing core of the Kuaiji Type Zero and said to the highly vigilant Pandavas, "This is what my master told me. Right now, that madman from the martial arts tournament, Yao Lian, is hiding in Hastinapura."
Upon hearing this, Bhima laughed and said, "Is there even a need to say that? Didn't that Yao Lian already die in Hastinapura? That guy's remains are indeed still in Hastinapura."
The Pandavas mocked, and Karna felt somewhat helpless facing his foolish brothers. His eldest son, Yudhishthira, frowned slightly, signaling the others to stop laughing, and then asked Karna in a somewhat serious tone:
"Karna, do you know what you're saying?"
"Of course, I trust my master."
"So, how will you prove it?"
The other four sons seemed somewhat helpless about their eldest brother Yudhishthira's actions and attitude, while Karna turned his gaze to Arjuna and said to Arjuna:
"Arjuna, son of Indra, I have heard that Indra, the king of gods, has a net covered with jewels, from which one can see everything on Daichi."
"Son of the Heavenly Emperor, I hope you can borrow the precious pearl from Lord Indra to take a look. Although I know Yao Lian's location, he is constantly moving. Hastinapura is crowded, and I cannot guarantee that I can kill him with one blow without harming the innocent."
Upon hearing Karna's words, Arjuna immediately frowned. He was indeed the son of Indra, the god of gods, but at the same time, he considered asking his father for help a taboo.
After all, if he invokes Indra's name every time something happens, what does that make him?
"Son of the coachman, you're delusional. You think I'd bother my father over a single, unbelievable word from you? You're far too presumptuous!"
Arjuna drew his arrow again, but Arjuna neither dodged nor evaded Karna. In the next moment, countless golden lights flashed, and a suit of armor woven from golden blades appeared.
"Arjuna, I am stating a fact, and this is the best way."
Yudhishthira looked at the two with some helplessness. These two archers were truly like-minded and repelled each other. Meanwhile Bhima began to examine Karna's armor. As if sensing Bhima's gaze, the blades on the armor bristled like the fur of a wild beast.
"Alright, let's not fight over this, Arjuna. We didn't come out here to fight this guy to the death. He's actually one of our comrades this time."
"Who's an ally of this guy?!"
Arjuna drank, and Bhima, looking distressed, said to Karna, "Then Karna, tell me the location of that Yao Lian, and I'll go see for myself to see if it's true or not!"
But Yudhishthira stopped Bhima: "No, we were ordered to go into battle, and we haven't achieved anything. How can we go back? Karna, why don't you go back?"
"I swore an oath before Bhishma that as long as my parents are safe, I will never set foot on the land of Hastinapura again."
This is quite a commotion... Bhima was speechless, while Arjuna coldly said, "Don't listen to him, brother, let me duel this guy!"
"No, Arjuna!" Yudhishthira tone stopped Arjuna. Then, his eyes met Karna's, and he said, "Warrior Karna, are you willing to keep your word?"
Upon hearing this, Karna removed his Hell War Armor, revealing his body. Arjuna, upon seeing Arjuna, heard a voice repeatedly urging him to kill the man before him. "Only your brother is here; no one will know."
Arjuna gripped the arrow tightly in his hand, and then placed a hand on Arjuna bowstring.
"Arjuna, my brother, do as Karna says."
"Big brother? Why?"
Arjuna looked at Yudhishthira with disbelief, while Yudhishthira said firmly, "Arjuna, if what he said is true, then the entire Hastinapura will be in danger."
Uncle Dhritarashtra had his master and grandfather to protect him, but our mother didn't. Don't forget that on the training ground, those Yao Lian's arrows were also pointed at our mother."
He looked at Karna and said earnestly, "Arjuna, I believe in your strength, but on the training ground, you and this warrior before you attacked together, causing two arrows that should have saved your mother to collide with each other."
Arjuna, do not let that happen again.
