Raging Beast
Once, I ran alone through the forest, every muscle was tearing, the pain was so intense I almost lost all feeling. But I still ran by memory and instinct.
No, that wasn't running, that was fleeing. I fled like a pathetic coward. I didn't know what I was afraid of. Even though I had already been spared, I kept running.
It felt as if someone was chasing me from behind. He was imposing and incredibly strong. He was wealthy and owned half of the Kingdom of Panchala. He was respected by others, protected by his father, and never encountered any major difficulties in his life.
He was a soldier respected by everyone.
He was chasing me, cursing me as a despicable person, and hurling insults at me for being unworthy of being a warrior, for being a bastard who attacked an unarmed pregnant woman and child, and for deserving to die like a Rakshasa.
But I just couldn't die. The only person who could have killed me let me go in the end. Out of respect for that guy, and out of respect for my father, he didn't kill me...
Why did this happen...? This damned war... has turned us all into beasts.
I don't know how long it took, but it took me a very long time to atone for this sin. Ironically, someone like me, who murdered pregnant women and children, is recorded as a hero.
No matter what, this is my chance to atone. The sins of the world have disappeared, but the sins in my heart are far from gone. But even someone like me has been given a second chance.
I must seize this opportunity...
"Oh, so you're my Servant? My name is Peperoncino, just call me Pepe."
The androgynous guy in front of me seems to be my Master. He looks a bit disheveled, as if he's been attacked by an enemy. But it doesn't matter. Now that I'm here, no enemy is worth my fear.
Although I don't know why, my weapon has turned into this thing, this war wheel, the weapon I wanted to exchange for the Skull of Brahma in my previous life, a weapon I was not qualified to use in my previous life, but now, it has actually appeared beside me.
Is a curse... also a trial?
Is this thing really that big? I remember Krishna's thing was about the size of a plate, wasn't it? And I don't remember it being a ring.
"No matter what, as long as I can wield it, that's fine, right? Don't worry, Master, no matter who the enemy is..."
As I finished speaking, I admitted that things seemed to have gone somewhat beyond my expectations. What was that thing? Arjuna? Why was he sitting on the Vimana? And what did those eyes mean?
In the end, to protect my Master, even though it was someone I'd only met once, I still went for it. I had no choice; that guy had no one else to rely on but me.
I charged in again and again, only to be killed by that [Arjuna] again and again. Damn it, how did that already unreasonable guy get even stronger? I really hope that Duryodhana never sees this guy, otherwise I'll definitely be so desperate that I'll cry.
The good news is that my Master managed to escape. He should have escaped this Lostbelt by now. Well, there's nothing I can do about it. Facing something like Arjuna, escaping is already quite an achievement.
However, just when I thought it was over, that guy [Arjuna] actually put me on a leash, like putting a dog on a chain.
I watched the world being destroyed and rebuilt in his hands, and to be honest, I felt terrible. From a human perspective, my reason told me that this thing had to die.
Otherwise, the very value of the concept of human existence would be completely erased.
But what can I do now? I can only keep being angry... Even if Shiva himself were here, he couldn't do anything against that kind of guy. All I can do is... be chained by him, keep being angry, and bite everything I can see.
This is the only way I can maintain myself before everything is destroyed by [Arjuna].
With a loud bang, the Divine Wheel was blasted open. Contrary to Bai Mo's expectations, the Divine Wheel did not seem to be very aggressive towards him. In fact, many times when it touched him, the Divine Wheel would slow down a little.
Even Kama felt a hint of doubt. This thing was incredibly powerful, on par with Shiva's trident and Brahma's Brahmanda.
"Is it that the Ashwatthama doesn't know how to use it, or..." Kama glanced at Krishna below without making a sound, and muttered to himself.
The battlefield on the ground was just as one-sided as the one in the sky. Faced with Krishna's power, King Drupada's army could not break through the Moonlight Vajra even half a step, and all their weapons were thrown from their hands.
The arrows shot forth like falling leaves, chewing up sharp swords and sturdy shields. The Moonlight Vajra tore these weapons apart without harming a single person. Faced with such divine power, what ordinary warrior would have the courage to even raise their weapons?
Seeing Krishna protecting Drona, King Drupada was quite indignant. He had obtained the Dhrishtadyumna, and now was the perfect opportunity for revenge. But where did this person come from?
Who are you? Why are you protecting Drona?
"You don't need to know my name. When your heart is clouded, everyone will be shrouded in shadow in your eyes. With that shadow, how can you recognize anyone else?"
As for Drona, I will protect him from being killed unlawfully. King Drupada, I will protect you in the same way, provided you refrain from further illegal acts and from stirring up further conflict.
Krishna spoke to the King Drupada, but clearly, this man completely ignored Krishna's warning. Stubborn people often ignore the advice around them. If they are on the right path, that's fine, but if they are on the wrong path, and can't even see the road ahead, blindly rushing forward is very dangerous.
King Drupada fired arrows one after another, raining down, but they were all crushed by the Moonlight Vajra. Krishna's fingers twirled continuously, stirring up a cloud of smoke that obscured the sky.
"King Drupada, stop! Your actions have become unbearable even for the gods. Anger and selfishness are driving you to commit mortal destruction. Reflect on your responsibilities as king, instead of abusing your royal power. Do not embark on the path to Hall of Enma, or I will have no choice but to kill you!"
Krishna roared, but King Drupada remained silent, only nocking and drawing his bow.
Krishna shook his head inwardly. These old chauvinistic stubborn men at this age are the most troublesome, like a stinking rock.
Meanwhile, in the sky, Kama also learned about Ashwatthama's situation. Ashwatthama's body was one-quarter the size of Eros, and for Kama, this body could not hide any secrets.
"This guy isn't an enemy; at least he's been forced into shackles. If we can remove the curse on him, we should be able to rescue this poor little dog."
Kama spoke to Bai Mo, Bai Mo immediately used his Magnetic Field Power to inform Krishna of the news. Although Krishna below did not understand what was going on, he still agreed.
Then, Bai Mo used the Nine Heavens Samsara Lock to restrain Ashwatthama. Just as Bai Mo and Oga War God were about to capture him, Ashwatthama suddenly raised his head and looked down.
That figure, without a doubt!
All that could be heard was the neighing of the Heroic Spirit Ashwatthama, which murmured:
"This taste... there's no mistake, Dhrishtadyumna, and King Drupada!"
