Not quite what he seemed
Recalling his encounter, the Heroic Spirit Ashwatthama still found it unbelievable. Although he and Arjuna were on opposing sides, he actually admired them quite a bit, especially Arjuna's son, Abhimanyu. But now, thinking back to the fully unified Arjuna he encountered in the Lostbelt, Ashwatthama felt that it was just a monster in Arjuna's skin.
Have you made contact with Arjuna?
Ashwatthama asked, Bai Mo shook his head, saying, "No, my chosen entry point is Karna."
"Oh, that coachman's son, that's not bad either. Karna has really good luck. Although it's a bit Duryodhana to say that to Nandi, it should be much better for you to be with him than over there. Thinking back, my father and I bullied that guy quite a bit back then."
Without Karna, the situation with the Pandavas might be much better, which is a decent alternative.
The Heroic Spirit Ashwatthama and nodded. As soon as he finished speaking, specks of light began to appear on Ashwatthama body, and he seemed to become transparent, as if he might disappear at any moment.
"So fast, [Arjuna]? He even designed a program that would make me disappear whenever I mentioned related information? He's such a meticulous guy. How did he end up like this?"
Bai Mo immediately placed one hand on Ashwatthama's body, forcibly piecing his body back together with the Magnetic Field Power. However, Ashwatthama was already Heroic Spirit, and during this time, he had been severely altered by Arjuna, so his dissipation was inevitable. Bai Mo's method of stopping it was effective, but it was not a long-term solution.
"Ouch! That hurts! Can't you be a little gentler?"
"Excuse me, but there's no anesthesia for surgery here. More importantly, before you disappear, give me a clear account of [Arjuna]."
Bai Mo's tone was icy, clearly showing he didn't have a good impression of this guy. Ashwatthama gave a wry smile, then thought for a moment and said:
"To be honest, I can confirm that there aren't many issues, but I can assure you that that [Arjuna] is definitely not the Arjuna I know or the Arjuna you know. That bastard has completely gone mad; [Arjuna] has lost all sense of family. There's no trace of the Pandavas in the Lostbelt, and even the existence of Kunti and the Black Princess has been erased."
Upon hearing this, Bai Mo was stunned. This news was indeed somewhat unexpected. Bai Mo had originally thought that Arjuna would at least leave his family behind, but he didn't expect that even Kunti's mother and the Black Princess would be [Maha Pralaya].
"Now you understand the seriousness of the problem, right? That guy is a monster in Arjuna's skin. I killed the five unarmed children and even tried to kill the child in Arjuna's wife's womb, but even so, they still couldn't kill me."
But now, look at what that self-proclaimed Arjuna has done. He treats life almost like a tool on a chessboard, cutting and manipulating it at will. Humanity has become his plaything. He not only wiped out his own family, but even just to put a chain on me, he re-imprinted this three-thousand-year-old curse on me."
"You're making me want to strangle you," Bai Mo said, somewhat speechless. Ma Ashwatthama shook his head and said, "You've killed me quite a few times already, but the problem now is probably not Arjuna. My brain isn't very sharp, and this is all I can tell you."
As he spoke, the light emanating from Ashwatthama intensified, and his body gradually became ethereal. Ashwatthama realized that he had to leave.
"Looks like there's no time left, you one who accompanies the lotus. To be honest, I don't even know your name, but we can only trouble you with this mess. You're with Karna, right? I know I might not be qualified, but please, please don't blame my father. He's just an old man who cares a bit about his reputation and wants his children to have enough to eat. As for me in this era, feel free to beat him. He's unkillable, just like me. Give him a couple of kicks for me too."
And... please Krishna for me, I absolutely do not want my father to see me in this pathetic state."
At this point, Ashwatthama's body completely turned into light and vanished. Bai Mo looked at the specks of light, recalling Ashwatthama's words. He had dealt with a worthy opponent, but this did not make Bai Mo feel any progress. Instead, he felt a sense of helplessness as the fog became increasingly difficult to penetrate.
The Heroic Spirit of Ashwatthama vanished, his spirit like a wisp of smoke that didn't dissipate. Ashwatthama looked around in confusion, then noticed a figure waving at him from a distance. Upon closer inspection, the person seemed familiar. Seeing this, Ashwatthama Si laughed heartily.
"You rascal, you were actually waiting for me here? Sure enough, when I thought of Arjuna, you were the first person that came to mind. So, what do you want?"
Training? Basically, it's about fighting, right? Then you've come to the right person!
Having resolved the matter of the Heroic Spirit Ashwatthama, Bai Mo picked up the teacup that had appeared beside him without his noticing, took a sip, and said casually to Kama beside him, "Don't frown. In any case, the enemy has been reduced by one, which is undeniably a good thing. Moreover, if things continue like this, [Arjuna] might send other divine generals. We can ask them then."
"You're right." Bai Mo nodded in agreement. Then, he released his senses and briefly observed the situation on the other side. There, the King Drupada, who had suffered another crushing defeat, finally began to examine himself. In any case, the King Drupada had the pride of a Kshatriya in his heart, and this time, a Kshatriya needed his daughter to save him. This was an extraordinary shame.
Because Bai Mo's speed exceeded the range of the naked eye, King Drupada on the battlefield couldn't even see her Bai Mo. In his mind, his actions had angered the heavens, and the heavens had punished him. It was his blessed daughter who had saved him and appeased the gods' wrath.
"King Drupada, you truly have a remarkable daughter; she has the courage to face something like that."
Krishna spoke from the side, then changed the subject, saying, "But you, King Drupada, lack courage."
"What are you saying, Krishna? How can we mortals contend with divine power?"
"Admittedly, human strength is no match for divine power, but your lack of courage is not reflected in this matter, but rather in your long-standing arrogance. You are headstrong, insulting friendship and disregarding family ties. Behind arrogance lies fear; otherwise, why would people need to isolate and protect themselves?"
Krishna's voice echoed in the hall, King Drupada glanced at Draupadi from time to time, his guilt and shame spreading like weeds in his heart.
"But you still have a chance, a chance to atone for the mistakes you made in the past because of your arrogance."
King Drupada took a deep breath and slowly walked up to Drona and Draupadi. Krishna also glanced at Draupadi from time to time. For the time being, he wouldn't have to worry about the Black Princess.
Now, I must go find you, Arjuna.
