Late to Arrive
Kama was somewhat surprised to hear Agni's request. She snapped her fingers, and the Flames of Shiva indeed ignited. But then she changed the subject, saying:
"Are you sure? This thing has no tactile sensation for me; it's completely intangible. In other words, it's like an uncontrollable wildfire~"
Kama's meaning was clear: this action was almost surgical in nature. However, what Kama held in his hand was not a scalpel, but a giant, burning sword that felt neither to the touch.
This might have directly reduced Agni to ashes. Shiva's flames are merely a manifestation of his power in a flame-like form; in essence, they are a terrifying force capable of destroying everything.
"I know it's difficult, but it's the only way." Agni gave a wry smile, while Bai Mo waved his hand and said, "Alright, that's why you came looking for me while I was traveling with Kama."
Let me take charge of controlling it; I'm quite confident in my control of the strength."
Just as Bai Mo was about to raise his hand to touch the flame, Kama snapped his fingers and pulled the flame back. Agni's expression was like that of a puppy watching its sausage being swallowed whole.
"Why are you in such a hurry?" Kama said irritably, then poked Bai Mo's chest with his finger, saying, "You'll suffer for this. There's no such Tianxia as a free lunch."
Then, Kama turned to look at Agni, his eyes narrowing slightly.
"Agni, since you've come all this way, shouldn't you prepare a consultation fee?" Kama rubbed his thumb and forefinger together, as if asking for money. Agni, on the other hand, put on a pitiful look and said:
"Kama, aren't you being a bit too cold-hearted?"
"Hehe, sorry, I was in a good mood with my Master when I treated you. I'm not in the mood now. And Master, don't be fooled by this guy. Indra is indeed a scoundrel, but I don't believe you didn't ask for payment for doing something like this."
Upon hearing this, Agni immediately composed himself, replacing his expression with a helpless smile that betrayed his ignorance.
"Alright, alright, I understand. I remember the favor you did for me before. But the reward I'm offering is just a portion of the energy donated by mortals through arduous cultivation, which is useless to you right now, isn't it?"
"How can you say it's useless? I can forgo the profit, but seeing you make money makes me feel worse than if I lost it."
Agni rolled his eyes at Kama, then waved his hand and said, "Alright, I'll use my position to keep an eye on this Daichi for you. Whenever a king wants to take action, he will hold a sacrifice, usually a fire sacrifice."
Besides, humans can't live without fire now. Wherever there's fire, there I am. If I have any important news, I'll let you know. Is that alright?"
"That's more like it," Kama said. Finally, Bai Mo agreed. He Agni to keep an eye on the situation in Hastinapura and the Pandavas. Then, Bai Mo stretched out his hand, and Magnetic Field Power surged, wrapping around Kama's flames like threads.
"Alright, open your mouth."
Agni immediately obeyed Bai Mo's command, opening his mouth like a patient facing a doctor. Then, guided by Bai Mo's Magnetic Field Power, Flames of Shiva flowed through Agni's blood vessels like small snakes.
Agni could clearly feel the Flames of Shiva within his body. Under Bai Mo's exquisite control, the Flames of Shiva swiftly attacked the ghee poison, that accumulated, waxy yellow, gel-like substance.
The raging flames were like a surgeon's scalpel, meticulously removing the contents bit by bit. They were also like a brush, cleaning the walls of his internal organs. During this time, Bai Mo noticed that Kama was trying his best to control his flame output, cooperating with him.
Soon, Flames of Shiva resembled a blooming lotus flower, while the ghee poison was like the lotus seed in the center, but growing in the opposite direction. The flower closed, and the last wisp of flame cleansed away the last drop of poison.
Ah, that feels so good!
Agni looked up at the sky and sighed. Kama waved his hand, as if Agni were speaking with great arrogance.
"Alright, alright, hurry up and disappear. Don't forget about work; we still have a long way to go."
Kama waved his hand, and Agni bowed to the two of them again before leaving. As soon as Agni left, Kama put his hands on his hips and said to Bai Mo:
"How about it? Without Lord Kama, I don't know how much you would have suffered."
"Yes, thank you, Kama."
"You could add a little more praise."
And so, Bai Mo rubbed Kama's head, and the two of them, somewhat noisily, arrived at Kampilya. Upon meeting, they saw that Krishna seemed to have been waiting at the door for some time.
"Why are you so late? The selection process for sons-in-law is already finished."
"Something came up on the way." Bai Mo shook his head helplessly, then looked at the flowers that had fallen to the ground. Because of the delay caused by the fire god, he had missed a grand event. However, Karna did not come this time due to Bai Mo's influence, so the only choice for a son-in-law was Arjuna.
"Oh, great Brahmin, why are you so late? I thought you weren't coming. You should have sent a reply first, so that we wouldn't have started if you hadn't arrived."
King Drupada came to Bai Mo 'Bai Mo side and handed him a cup of wine. Today, he looked more like a father whose daughter had married off.
"Don't call me some great Brahmin, I have a name, Bai Mo."
"Ah, Mr. Bai Mo, it sounds like a flowing stream, Bai Mo... Hehe, this name is quite interesting." King Drupada seemed to have drunk quite a bit, muttering to himself:
"The Bai Mo... the end... the end of everything. I've heard a legend that when the last Yuga arrives, a warrior riding a white horse will descend. He is the last incarnation of Vishnu, and he will annihilate all the evil people in the world, bringing about the end of everything."
"You've had too much to drink. This isn't the last Yuga," Bai Mo reminded the Wood King Drupada King Drupada, dismissing the legend as just drunken ramblings.
"Ah, sorry, I went off-topic. You didn't send Karna, actually my first choice was that warrior. I absolutely adore the way he fought the Rakshasa all by himself."
If it weren't for Krishna, I wouldn't have known you were Karna's teacher. I will definitely visit you in Sweetness City later."
The King Drupada ' tone revealed a hint of dissatisfaction, Krishna could only smile wryly as he had him sent away.
After seeing off King Drupada, Krishna looked at the forest not far away, the place where the Pandavas lived in seclusion. Krishna sighed and said, "This is not bad. Arjuna will respect her and cherish her like a goddess."
"He'd better cherish Draupadi. Sigh, poor Draupadi. Other things can be resolved, but one woman with five husbands..." Bai Mo shook his head, clearly finding it hard to accept.
Unfortunately, this is a momentous historical event that cannot be altered, much like King Arthur drawing the Sword of Promised Victory. Interference could directly determine the future of this world.
Krishna, standing to the side, looked puzzled and asked Bai Mo, "What do you mean, one woman with five husbands?"
This time, it was Bai Mo's turn to be dumbfounded.
"It's not because of Draupadi's previous incarnation, who repeated his vow five times to Shiva, but Pandavas are the five pillars of the Dharma, and Draupadi will connect them..."
At this point, Bai Mo, looking at Krishna's expression, also sensed something was wrong, and a terrifying thought surfaced in his mind.
The next instant, the two transformed into a gust of wind and vanished from the spot. Kama was stunned into silence. As they moved, the sky suddenly darkened, dark clouds surged, and thunder roared.
