Rivals
"What's going on lately? People are lining up to steal chocolate? Has the South gotten this poor?"
Knocknarea's gaze swept over the three of them, and when she saw Bai Mo, her eyes instantly hardened. Hearing this, Bai Mo waved his empty hand and replied, "We didn't touch a single chocolate of yours. Or is asking considered stealing?"
Morgan retorted without hesitation, "Compared to that, is the Queen of the North too idle to personally come on patrol?"
"Foolish! These fields are my property, the entire North belongs to me, and the South will belong to me in the future. What's so strange about walking on my own land?"
Well, that's understandable. After all, someone living in a small house can't possibly imagine the Queen's life, hahaha.
Knocknarea tossed her long pink hair and laughed condescendingly. Bai Mo couldn't help but rub his temples, but at the same time, he noticed something: what did it mean to line up to steal chocolate?
Some time later, at the front lines of the Northern Fairies:
"Brother Bai, you've finally come to save us!"
Inside the tent, Bai Mo saw Ritsuka and the others. Upon seeing him, they rushed over as if they had suffered a great injustice.
"What happened? Were you being tortured here?"
"No, I'm out of money. You didn't even give me any before you left. The Britain Morgan Pound is practically worthless due to inflation. I can't even afford a hotel these past few days. If you hadn't come soon, I would have starved to death."
Upon hearing Ritsuka's words, Bai Mo's lips twitched.
Ritsuka originally intended to investigate the situation in northern Britain, as Oberon said Mash was likely in the north. However, when she left, she was so worried about Mash that she forgot to ask the Queen, who was with Bai Mo, for some financial assistance.
With Morgan away from Camelot for some time, the currency originally designed Morgan Pound, naturally fell into the hands of those goblins with questionable intelligence.
Based on the idea that 'the more money the better,' the noble fairies of Camelot directly began printing money using Magnetic Field Power. Coupled with constant wars and the destruction of Norwich, Britain's economy was doomed.
The travel expenses that Ritsuka and Caster earned while working in Salisbury vanished overnight.
Then, with their strong will, the group made it here and saw chocolate covering the hillsides, and so...
Meanwhile, Knocknarea, standing to the side, said irritably, "It's truly pathetic that the Child of Prophecy has fallen to this state, Artoria. At least back in Tintagel, you could take care of yourself, but now..."
He was arrested for stealing chocolate! Seriously, the so-called "Child of Prophecy" would steal chocolate!
As Knocknarea spoke, she glanced at Artoria sitting in the corner, who was clearly also furious, baring her shark teeth as she grumbled:
"Who knew the Queen of the North would personally come out to catch thieves? And I noticed that the chocolate field had no signs or fences; the food was just left on the ground. Anyone would be tempted to take a bite!"
"How could something like that grow like a weed? Are you a wild boar? Do you know how much a piece of chocolate costs on the market right now? Five hundred thousand Morgan Pound!"
It seems that Britain's economy is at least better than the Land of Shadows's now.
Knocknarea and Artoria bickered, and unlike the previous situation, Artoria was clearly connected to Knocknarea.
Seeing this, Bai Mo was also helpless and then said:
"Very well, Queen Knocknarea, I am willing to respect your laws. I would like to bail out my companion. What do you wish for?"
Although Knocknarea was arrogant, Ritsuka and the others were treated well here, so Bai Mo would naturally reciprocate the courtesy. After all, it was just a matter of losing some money.
Bai Mo thought to himself.
"Then let me tell you about the crimes they committed. First, theft; second, chocolate is a symbol of the Northern Fairy culture, which is an international issue; and third, that human actually called me ' Medb '."
Insulting the Queen is an even greater crime. They need to work in my chocolate packaging factory for a hundred years. Only after their sins are atoned can they be granted Edinburgh residency.
"You're quite honest, aren't you? Ritsuka, as long as you work for a hundred years, you can get a Northern Clan ID card." Bai Mo said to Ritsuka with a hint of teasing, Ritsuka pretended to be annoyed.
"Brother Bai, how could you do this? This is a work injury! I'm reporting this to Chaldea and demanding compensation!"
Bai Mo pressed down on Ritsuka's head as she rushed towards him, then turned to Knocknarea and said, "That's impossible. Could we ask for some material compensation?"
"That works too. This guy named Ritsuka Fujimaru can stay and become my subordinate, then I can release Artoria and the others."
Before Bai Mo could speak, Artoria snapped angrily, "What are you trying to do? Ritsuka is my comrade, why are you eyeing someone else's comrade? Are you a minotaur?!"
"Since Queen Morgan also has a human Magecraft by her side, and she wants to compete for Morgan's position in the future, then naturally I need one too," Knocknarea said matter-of-factly, while not forgetting to deliver a final blow to Artoria, the Child of Prophecy:
"And do you think you can get others to follow you like this? You're dressed like a country bumpkin, even your tusk-pulling fairy from the Fang Clan knows to wear nice clothes."
I thought that after saving Norwich, you should have made a name for yourself, but it turns out you're still the same as before.
Caster lowered his head. Knocknarea's words were less like the Queen mocking the village girl and more like those of a friend who couldn't bear to see Caster fall into such a state.
"This kind of thing depends on the wishes of the person involved. Chaldea isn't an organization where only the dead can leave. As for whether Caster is qualified to be Ritsuka's companion..."
History is full of great people who rose from humble beginnings; a stream flowing down a snow-capped mountain can become a mighty river. As Her Majesty the Queen, aren't you standing on the shoulders of those ordinary people, looking down from a position of great power?
Bai Mo's words made Caster raise his head, looking at the guy's simple, country-girl-like clothes, and then at Ash's standard savior gear beside him.
I'll get her one too, something at least as impressive as Pendragon's.
Knocknarea narrowed her eyes upon hearing this, scrutinizing the man before her. She realized that he was the leader of both groups, and then she gave a deep look at Ash behind him.
"Alright, then ten times the compensation will do."
Knocknarea suddenly relented, surprising Ritsuka Artoria. Knocknarea simply waved her hand and said, "I'm busy with the war right now. I don't have time to waste on the Child of Prophecy who hasn't even rung a single bell."
However, Artoria, now all the major clans of Britain are eyeing Camelot's throne. If you're going to just live like a country elf, then this fine will suffice.
But if you ring the bell, then we'll be competitors. Just like the beauty pageant in Gloucester back then, isn't that nice?"
Unlike Knocknarea, who was lost in fond memories, Artoria wore a wry smile, her lips twitching slightly.
"We weren't even eliminated in the preliminary rounds back then, were we? It's not a good omen to talk about this now..."
