Forging the Holy Sword
What's this guy suddenly saying? Virtual live stream?
The outside world has been destroyed, so how can this guy still do virtual live streaming? Is he streaming from here? Several questions popped into Bai Mo's mind, but these weren't the things he should be paying attention to right now.
"Is he an enemy?"
"?"
Upon hearing Bai Mo's words, the white-haired man in front of him felt a chill run down his spine. In the next instant, the Splitting the Sky in two by a paper cutter, as if it were about to cleave the entire world in two, and it hurtled towards the man in front of him.
"Wait, wait, wait, why did you have to do it..."
With a soft thud, a perfectly healthy head fell to the ground.
Although the person in front of him looked a lot like Mery, Bai Mo wasn't leisurely strolling down the street, choosing an afternoon tea shop. Outside Camelot, there was the internal riots of Cernunnos, and outside, the Calamity of the Beast was besieging the city.
Another Lun Rang someone is hiding in the shadows, in such a critical situation, and this guy throws an illusion spell at you, Bai Mo's first reaction would naturally be to cut him down with a knife and get away as quickly as possible.
However, even after the man's head fell to the ground, the illusions around him did not disappear. Bai Mo frowned slightly, stretched out his hand, and aimed the radiant light of the Avici Uninterrupted at the tower in front of him.
"Wait, don't do it! I'm Merlin, your companion, and Chaldea's number one fan!"
The head on the ground had no trachea, yet it still shouted at the top of its lungs, because if it were any slower, it was afraid that Bai Mo would dismantle it.
There was no lie in this guy's words; Bai Mo could sense it. Even the statement, "I'm Chaldea's number one fan," was the truth.
Why the sudden interruption? I'm very busy on my end.
"Oh, don't worry about things outside. Having been in Britain for so long, I can certainly manipulate time briefly. So, let me introduce myself first. My name is Merlin, King Arthur's mentor, Britain's great Magecraft, the reliable older brother next door, Grand Caster— Merlin."
"Next time you introduce yourself, you only need to say the last thing. Honestly, this carefree personality is really hard to manage."
After confirming that this guy was indeed the Grand Caster and a member of the Human Order, Bai Mo put Merlin's head back and then began the Magnetic Field Rotation — Cellular Regeneration.
"I'm sorry, I didn't ask clearly, but could you come to see me at a different time next time, or at least get straight to the point?"
"Sigh, it's our first meeting after all, and I want to leave a lasting impression. Besides, being beheaded is like a greeting to me."
"Really? Then I'll greet you like this from now on."
"No, no, please greet me normally."
The slits on his head closed under the Magnetic Field Power. Merlin moved his head around a bit, then narcissistically tossed his short white hair, looking quite vain. Bai Mo frowned slightly and said irritably, "If you brought me here just to say hello, you could have left."
"Oh, of course not. I called you here for important business, very important business. And everyone else, although the situation outside is serious, please come here for a brief gathering, everyone."
Merlin waved his staff, and instantly flowers flew everywhere. Behind the flowers, several figures appeared: Morgan, Caster, Mash, and Ritsuka. Mash and Ritsuka were holding the black dog and were fighting with the outside world when they were suddenly pulled in, their guns pointed directly at Merlin.
"Hey, hey, what's going on?!"
A jet-black light was released, and in an instant, only Merlin's lower body remained standing on the Daichi; his upper body had completely vanished.
The arena fell silent instantly. This proved that it's crucial not to suddenly teleport someone in while they're fighting; sometimes, it's really hard to control the momentum.
"Huh? We killed someone?"
"It's okay. This guy said being killed is just like saying hello; treat it as a greeting."
Bai Mo shrugged and said, "Why is this happening to me? Am I cursed too?" Merlin's voice rang out again a moment later.
Hearing this, Morgan frowned slightly. She reached out and made a fist, instantly understanding the specific situation of this area. Morgan said coldly, "Merlin, what exactly are you doing? Temporarily freezing time in the outside world and then forcibly casting such a powerful illusion."
"It seems you've accumulated quite a bit of magic in Avalon, which is exactly what I'm lacking."
"Please don't target someone's property the moment you meet them, okay?"
Merlin reappeared, his previous half-body completely gone. Caster stared blankly at Merlin before him, muttering unconsciously, "He is Merlin, King Arthur's mentor, the Magecraft guided the Sword of Victory... and also..."
"He's also a lecherous old man who seduces widows everywhere, a heartless nightmare, and a madman who uses Magecraft to fool the masses."
Morgan picked up where Caster left off, instantly shattering Merlin's previously pleased expression. He quickly waved his hand, as if trying to deflect Morgan's words.
"Alright, stop worrying about me. I saw you were facing such great difficulties and wanted to lend you a hand," Merlin said somewhat anxiously. The others looked at each other, clearly quite skeptical of his words.
"If you want to help, get out there and deal with that mad dog, Merlin. I'd really like to know how you're going to handle her—by feeding her yourself?"
Morgan and Merlin clearly didn't get along; almost every word she uttered was a sarcastic jab at Merlin. Merlin, however, seemed unfazed. He pointed a finger at Caster and Morgan, his tone resolute and confident. "Those mere Cernunnos and the Calamity of the Beast are nothing to fear. Once the mission is accomplished, these Calamity are nothing but chickens and dogs!"
"Mission?"
Ritsuka muttered the word, then subconsciously looked at Bai Mo, only to find that Bai Mo's expression was not very good.
"That's right, the mission of the Fairy of Paradise is to reforge the Holy Sword of the Planet."
Merlin stretched out his hand, and the surrounding flowers swayed, petals flying up like celebratory fireworks. Mash immediately became excited.
"The Holy Sword? The legendary one that defeated Sefar, the true Holy Sword of the Planet, senior, if such a weapon existed..."
"So, what is the price?" Bai Mo crossed his arms and stared at Merlin.
Like a bucket of ice water extinguishing all enthusiasm, Bai Mo's tone was full of disapproval, and Merlin sighed inwardly upon seeing this. It seemed that he already knew, and what was originally a sure thing was now uncertain. After all, no matter how you looked at it, Bai Mo was the backbone of everyone present.
